I just can't think of another word in this case, but it just seems downright dumb/stupid to omit "Slick" and "The Eight Steps" from the album. Both of these tracks are PURE GRAMMY MATERIAL! Yeah, so Joe's Japanese fans do get "The Eight Steps," allright. Maybe it will be nominated for a Japanese Grammy award (do they have Grammies in Japan?) "The Eight Steps" is just such a truly fantastic composition, full of energy, and light and it's just so uplifting and fantastic! Ugh! And "Slick!" Oh! Man! This is the sh*t I have been waiting for from Joe since 1987!!! So happy that there is some Bisonette blood back in the mix.

But HERE IS MY POINT: Artistically, creatively, musically, the album would just be so much better (IMO) with the inclusion of these tracks. Joe, you are crazy to omit them.

hello hello! finally got my computer working again. summer and Joe is on tour-what a nice feelin'. new record is kickin'! although i cannot for the life of me figure out why slick and the eight steps were omitted (?!) very organic sounding, natural, relaxed-it breathes. hill grooove and chords of life are faves. sleepwalk is wonderful.

RED ALERT!!!! Lovin' the pants and red shirt!

just have to ask, if js loves the 5150s so much, why didn't he use one on sbm (did he? doesnt sound like it) hope he is using one live. it'd be great to hear joe through a rectifier, too. the blue marshall is killer, of course, but it'd be cool to hear something new and different. what's the deal with this british amp joe is crazy about?

Aside from playing a kick-ass show, Joe, what do you do for fun, to unwind when on tour? Is your family on tour with you?

Dearest Joe, Hope this note finds you well and aside from the loss of Pearly, otherwise having a great tour. I am so truly sorry to hear about your axe being stolen. UGH!!!#$! It makes me so angry! and hurts me deeply. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that the the guitar is found and returned to your immediately. I bet it will. There are certain guitars that are nearly impossibe to hide. Some idiot cretin steals a 1937 00-28 Martin or 1930's D'angelico, a rare piece of which only a few were made, or a rock icon's signature guitar. Because of the difficulty of concealing such rare guitars on the U.S market, guitar criminals usually send them overseas to places like China, India, the Middle East. However stolen guitars are recovered. I reccomend you contact Stan Jay of Mandolin Brothers in Staten Island NY (do not have the # on my at the moment) for assistance. He may be able to be of some assistance, I really don't know. Someone else who might help is Larry Wexer, who used to work at Mandolin Brothers but now works for himself. He lives in NYC and is listed in 411 under Laurence Wexer Ltd. Both of these guys are great because they are nothing like the typical sordid vintage guitar guys-they are truly a special breed, much like yourself, of highly intelligent, warm, briliant, easy to deal with, honest men. Wonderful guys to talk to.

Best wishes, Sincerely, Jon Katz

Joe, I am sorry about your loss, as I said, but aren't yours guitars mass produced, such that you could go into vitrually any guitar store and pick up a JS and have your guitar, exactly to your specifications ?

Joe, my father is dying of cancer and it would mean so much to be able to meet n' greet with you at Jones Beach on the 14th, even for just like 5 minutes... i am just coming right out and asking if I could have the aftershow pass for Jones. Maybe this is kinda wrong for me to ask for it like that, cause it is supposed to be a random drawing, but I figure you only live once and what do i have do lose in asking...i'll never have a chance to meet joe again, plus i would like to bring you some wonderful guitars to play, borrow, whatever you like...it would just be a honor to meet you during this terrible time, and I promise not one mention of cancer talk

Thank you for a wonderful show in Wantagh. I know this is greedy to ask, but it would be so nice if you could come back to NYC and do an Evening With...show at the Hammerstein or Roseland etc.

Thanks again,

Sincerely,

JK

Joe, just thinking about meeting you last summer at the Beacon theater. You have no idea how much I appreciated you taking 5 minutes to talk to me. You were so nice and so inspiring. If you were an ahole, it would have ruined your music for me. You have no idea how much it meant. THANK YOU MR. SATRIANI!!

Also, thank you for releasing "Slick." I was super pissed that it was not on SBM! I only heard those few seconds on the site, but it sounded like classic satch and something I DESPERATELY want to hear. Did you re-do it? Is it drastically different? Does it still have that kicking double bass boogie thing goin' on?

Thank you Mr. Satriani!

Praise Jimi,

JK
