I think Sleepwalk is amazing. It stays true to the original but it has that Satriani flare. I think Chords of Life is my favorite song ever. I just can't get enough of that solo, its amazing. It does have sort of a Harrison vibe at the beginning, but then he busts out with that crazy solo. Great Song!!!

I dont know if all you guys know this or not, but the new Guitar World has a big article on Joe. He talks about the new album and his home studio. There is also a poster of him. I put it up on my wall right next to Jimi.

Does anyone know what chords Joe uses in Chords of Life (during the main part). And is it just me or does that part sound alot like a slowed down version of ELO's "Fire on High".

Flea Bass - We may think Hendrix does easy stuff nowadays, but he changed the way guitars were played. I think Joe's the best guitarist ever, but Hendrix is definetly right beside him. Hendrix made some incredibly complex stuff, you just never hear about his best songs because people only pay attention to his "Rock" songs (Purple Haze, All Along the Watch Tower, Fire, Foxey Lady and etc.) "Castles Made of Sand" is a great song. "Red House" is one of the best blues songs ever. "Voodoo Chile" is great. Strange Beautiful Music is a lyric in "Third Stone from the Sun" which is a Hendrix song. You also can't say that his stuff can easily be figured out, Joe even has had difficulty with it.

Joe says in his latest lesson in Guitar World, and i quote, "My true goal in studying the modes is to unlock the secrets to the sounds inherit to the music I already knew and loved. When I first got a grasp of the Mixolydian mode, a light went on in my head: I relized that the melodies to Jimi Hendrix's "Third Stone from the Sun" and "Are you Experienced?" are based on this perticular mode, which made learning much easier."

He also made feedback popular. well i dont know if he made it popular, but he was the first to use it in a song (besides the Beatles that is). So I hope i havent sounded like i was ranting and raving, i love Joe just as much as everyone else, but when someone says that Jimi can't be compared to Joe, i get a little crazy. I mean, Joe probobly wouldn't even be here if it weren't for Jimi, SO TAKE THAT!

And also you said that everything Joe does is unique, but he also says in an aricle in the new Guitar World, that the first solo in oriental melody is "purely Hendrix inspired".

Joe uses a 7 string JS. I don't think you can buy it though. I was at Guitar Center last week and i saw a strange Ibanez S series. It was one of those double guitars (i dont know what they're official name is) I didn't really pay much attention to it because i was in a real hurry, but it looked really cool.

I was looking at the Korean Ibanez site today (i was bored out of my mind) and they have a really wierd JS. Its a JS700 and it has some crappy looking single coil pickups and a horrible bridge. This looked like a disgrace to all JS guitars, but then i saw they're Burndt Transparent Blue JS1000 and everything was ok. That is one beautiful guitar. But how can Joe put his name on that horrible JS700. I may just be ignorant and that could be the best guitar ever, but it sure doesn't look like it.

Hey guys, i just got a Morley wah pedal and i noticed that when i use my distortion pedal and my wah at the same time, the distortion sounds like crap. Is that because the pedal sucks or are they all like that. I got the Morley Pro Series, mainly because it was one of the cheapest. I was going to get the Bad Horsie 2, but i didnt really want to spend $120 for a pedal.

Also, i was wondering if anyone has ever played a Ibanez RG220b. I was thinking about getting one but i'm not sure about it. I mainly want it because it is the cheapest guitar with a floating trem. I plan on putting different pickups on it later.

Another question, does anyone know where i can take some guitar lessons. I live in the Houston area.

One more question. What is the difference between different trems. Are some lower to the body or do some stay in tune better or what.

Alright, i know that was alot of questions, so thanks in advanced for all the replies.

This webcast is kinda boring. i've been watching a crowd for 6 minutes now.

I was watching "Ozzy Live at Budakon" last night on MTV. Zakk Wylde is an AWESOME guitarist. He throws in crazy harmonics every 5 seconds it seems like. If any one gets a chance to see that show, make sure you catch it.

Its an Ibanez JS 7 string. Ibanez doesn't sell it yet. At least not to my knowledge.

Man, that ending to Rasberry Jam was really cool.

Has anyone ever tried the EMG-81 and 85 pickups, if so what did you think about them. Another question for anyone who can answer, do you know how to get that awesome harmonic sound Zakk Wylde gets. I can get a artificial harmonic sound, it just doesn't have any sustain and i cant really bend it without it losing its sound. I know he doesn't have a floating bridge on any of his guitars, so that can't be it. I'm thinking my pickups just suck.

I'm not just looking for sustain (although the more the merrier) I want some really good pickups for some heavy metal type stuff, so i was looking into the EMG's. I'll check out that "Fat Finger" Thanks.

I JUST GOT A JS100!!!!! I know it may not seem like a great accomplishment to all of you guys, but it is to me. I got it from a pawn shop for $250!! It works and sounds great, but the paint is a little worn in between the pickups and there are some scratches on it, but i could care less for $250. The only problem is some strings are missing, and this is my first guitar with a floating bridge, so i have no clue how to restring it. So if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.
