What a bummer......Anyone who was raised in the New England area of the USA and has been to New Hampshire, has seen the "Old Man of the Mountains". That rocky outcropping that resembles an old mans face, collapsed sometime in the early morning hours on Saturday. It was probably there for millenia before any people were around to view it. I had hoped to take my own kids up there sometime, because it was always one of the first things you would see as you were entering the White Mountains. Too bad....RIP "Old Man"

Yeah Serak, it is something that can't be replaced. I guess it's just another reminder that nothing lasts forever.

On a happier note, I get to build myself a board to put all of my effect pedals on. I'm running five pedals these days. Once I got that Octave pedal, I figured I'd better stop. Anyhow I'm now running a Vox Wah, Ultimate Octave, Boss Distortion, Digitech Whammy, Boss Delay.......and an empty wallet.

MegaBoyd, Serak, If I knew I had a ticket to a Cali show and I knew you guys were going to play host to me, I'd fly out there in a second. I will seriously consider that the next time Joe rolls through San Fran.

Hmmm, interesting T2J album titles. I don't remember seeing those ones. Oh well, I voted for "Blue Reflections".......

I picked up "Time Machine" on E Bay. It came in the mail today, can't wait to listen to it. It'll be my first time.....

A very funny moment at band practice tonight.....I've been having problems with my 3rd string for a little while and it was really giving me grief tonight. And I commented (in a room full of band members & girlfriends) that I was having trouble keeping my G-String up.........enormous laughter ensued, and embarrsassment followed.....lol Now I know why I love playing music :)

I could think of a million guitar solo's that I like, but one of my fav's is Joe Walsh on "Hotel California". That solo, to me, covers a lot of bases.

Avarice, would'nt that be B-G3?......LMAO

Ovation, actually the machine head is shot, so I need to get new ones or replace just the one.

Time Machine ROCKS!!!!

Mr.Nick, I have the Taiwan made DS-1 and I think it's kick-ass. I would'nt go out of my way to get a Japan model unless it was right in front of me ready to be bought. And of course, we all know there is more to Joe's sound than just his DS-1. I'm positive I saw a picture once where he had two DS-1's going at the same time. You would think that he might have to adjust his sound depending on the acoustics of the venue. So I'm kind of guessing that his sound set-up varies. Then again, what do I know....lol

Joe, have you ever heard of Herbie Ellis? My music theory teacher said that I should have a listen to him.

Joe usually plays "Red House" by Jimi when he's on the G3 tour, does'nt he? I'd love to hear him do "3rd Stone from the Sun", I bet that would rock !!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there :)

Here's a little short story, more of a pity party for me.....I met this really cool girl about a month ago, her name is Jen. Anyhow, I knew when I met her that she was planning to move to another part of the country at the end of this month. We enjoyed being with each other, and as it always goes, we kind of grew attached to each other. Anyways, as fate would have it, she has to leave earlier than expected :( It really sucks bad....

Anyhow !!!! On a lighter note, our band has reformed and we are playing Memorial Day Weekend. Damn I love Rock n Roll......its the only thing that is a sure bet for me in my life.

Hi Joe

On the subject of favorite smells. I love the smell of "weed", even if I don't smoke it anymore (OK, once in a great while...lol) My 2nd favorite smell is "Vulva Nectar"...LMAO

Has anyone heard yet what was the cause of Noel Redding's death? Just curious........Peace, Dave

matt king, your song sounds cool.....as far as a title goes, I would have to say something with the word "frantic"....lol.....great tune !

Has anyone ever become so frustrated with their guitar, that they were tempted to just smash it? Well, I did that last night with my Epiphone Les Paul. I had had enough....RIP

death cube, no it was'nt my main axe. I recently picked up an RGT42 which plays awesome. That damn Epiphone did nothing but go out of tune, and squeal and howl when I tried to turn my volume up. I guess I could have fixed it but...oh well. I was kind of (OK I was very drunk) when I threw it on the floor. That thing gave me so much grief I could'nt take it anymore. It felt good to kill it !

trutina, sorry about your Mom. I can't imagine the frustration you felt. When I bodyslammed the guitar, the pick-ups popped out and volume and tone knobs went flying everywhere. The neck split lengthwise and then broke through the fingerboard about halfway up. Everybody was stunned for a moment, not knowing what to say. So I had to break the ice by saying "Wow, I feel better" LOL Then we nailed it to my friends garage wall, and I autographed it and put a smiley face on it with the words "It's all good" underneath. So I woke up today with a slight hangover and no more Mr. Epiphone. Oh well, life goes on......

Mick 87, yeah we had some good times, but they did'nt outweigh the bad unfortunately.

death cube. damn those guitars are nice (as I'm wiping the drool off of my keyboard). It would be nice to have 6 or 7 grand to piss away on one. With that kind of money, a guy (or gal) could have a killer set-up. Hmmm, would I rather have a Marshall stack and a JS-1000BP, plus all the effects I could stand, or just one single "Chromeboy"? No contest, I'd go with the first option.....You can keep teasing me with those links anyways, damn it...lol.

kell, I believe Joe uses one of those amps, although I've never tried the 6100 myself. Someday though....In my opinion, not all Marshalls are good, I guess its just a matter of preference. I'd have to play that 6100 before I bought it ;)

death cube, I like those "dream links" lol....it gives me the incentive to save $$$.

MegaBoyd, I would think a clear lacquer would work, maybe in a spray can. Just be sure to cover any area you wish NOT to be lacquered. It'll destroy the finish on your axe. (of course you know that), being the "Backstage Bandit" and all...lol

Hi everyone ! Finally, a positive result of my guitar bashing incident. My buddy is letting me use his 74 Stratocaster as a back up to my Ibanez. Man does that guitar sound sweet...it's just like an old friend.........Peace, Dave

Artanis, yeah I'd rather see the trees standing myself. But the Forestry and the DNR do a good job of replanting the areas that are logged off. And "Old Growth" areas are totally off limits.

Anybody like the "Moody Blues"? Tune in and drop out....lol
