PhryDom, nah...most of the wood we deal with is red and white pine, cedar, aspen.....can you imagine" pine sap" seeping out of your guitar neck...what a mess...lol. Occasionally we do cut up some Basswood for special orders, and I've seen some nice chunks that would make excellent guitar bodies.
MegaBoyd, thanks for the MP3. Once I got to listen to it again, it sounded even better..........Peace, Dave

crispin, glad your gig went well. We are playing this Friday and Saturday night at the Old Municipal Bar in beautiful downtown Cook, Minnesota......hope y'all can make it....lol
As far as wah-wahs go, I own a Vox wah and it started giving me troubles a while back. But I'm not going to smash it on the ground like I do my (ahem) other stuff...lol
Need an opinion...how does the name "DisEnchanted" sound for a band name?

PhryDom, I like the shop you guys have now...I'd like to see a T-shirt with that half black half white guitar on it. Can you make those? By the way, happy 800th....
Man I'm exausted, we played like a bat out of hell last night. I was so spent, I did'nt even attend the after hours parties that always follow.....maybe tonight I will. So many women...so little time ;)

YaYo, I did'nt know ZZ Top had a new CD out. One of my fav's is their first album "Tejas". I think that was their 1st release. "El Diablo" is an excellent tune off of that one.
Joe, it sounds like some people are craving some blue text.....how's things going? Are you enjoying your tour break? Any hints as to what your G3 line-up will be?

Yeah Joe, we need loud guitar music to drive the mosquitoes off...lol
Quantum, Epiphone makes decent guitars (with the exception of mine) all I really had to do was replace the pots and pick-ups, but no I had to go and smash it to pieces on a concrete floor....LMAO....no really, they are good guitars, especially the Les Paul type. Or you can always get a Fender Strat, Paul Reed Smith, or something that weighs 60 pounds less than a PRS...lol

Happy 200th Sharif.....
PhryDom, it's better to be honest with someone than to lie just to make them feel better. I hope when I finally put some music on here for everyone to listen to, honesty will be the order of the day.

crushing day, yeah there is backstage footage on the DVD and not the VHS. Joe gives a little tour of his equipment and the band, his guitar tech..etc....For a guy with such vicious fingering on the guitar, he sounds really down to earth. It would be cool to have a chat with him someday........Peace, Dave

Jellyman, nice guitar work, that was some slick sh!t....I guess maybe the back-up instruments could have been a little louder in the recording, but otherwise....thumbs up man !!

AVARICE, lol....I have Jenny Frost from Atomic Kitten for my PC wallpaper. I'm going to have to find something else soon, it's getting unbearable....heh heh
Happy 100th engines of dreams and alexandre
Pastel Black, I have the same opinion about Kenny Wayne Shephard. He is a great player, but he's not on the same level as Satch and Vai, if you know what I mean.

ToneCapone, good collectors item.......$12,000 for a stool? I wish I had that kind of money to piss away...lol. It also just so happens that the seller is listed in my hometown of Framingham, MA. If I was still living there, I'd have to go check it out.

I feel stupid asking this, but whats the name of Eric Johnson's trademark tune that made him instantly popular back in the early nineties. You know, the instrumental one?

Thanks for the EJ song info everyone....I never would have guessed that was the name of it. The name does'nt fit the song but I guess it has some meaning to EJ. I'd love to play that song live and was looking into some tabs or sheet music (because I can actually read sheet music now...yahoo!!) Does anyone else think that "Cliffs of Dover" would be a good opening song for a cover band?
