trutina, LMAO......sorry man, but I was laughing my ass off when I read that post. I'm going to send you a football helmet for when you go out drinking...lol

How the heck could they list Kurt Cobain at #12? I mean, aside from the fact that he should be excluded for being a dumb-ass because he shot himself. "I can't handle being a millionaire, I think I'll kill myself".........DUMB---------ASS !!!

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone...be safe.

r6rocker, yeah I suppose you're right. I did'nt mean to knock the guy, he really was "messed up". My younger brother worshiped the guy and he was devastated when he died. It was such a letdown for him, he was very disappointed.

Fusion 5000, yeah you left the "out" out of without. I thought maybe you quit smoking cigs and switched to weed. I quit cigs over a year ago and I swear I can climb mountains now...lol...I quit smoking weed when I found out I was going to be a Dad....enough said, way too many brain cells were lost in my youth ;)

Climber, holy buckets dude you've had a hard life, or a painful one I should say. I've been working at the same sawmill for almost 10 years. Now my body is starting to hate me for it. Its time to find a desk job....

Heres a question regarding the infamous Lo TRS II tremelo. After I tune the guitar and lock the nut, I go to fine tune the strings and all the strings are a half step down or more even.....whats up with that? You would think that after locking, the strings would be a little higher, not lower. I've been playing for centuries and I've never encountered such an ass-ache as the floating tremelo. No wonder I never bought one until now....heh heh

Funny edit : I watched The Two Towers last night, it was awesome. Not as good as the book but still really good. Anyhow I noticed that Frodo's buddy Sam Gamgee looks like a miniature Stu Hamm...LMAO...Am I wrong? Ha ha ha

OK, maybe he does'nt look like him, a little maybe :P

Fusion 5000, I miss listening to music under the influence too...it may have not done my brain any good, but it sure gave me a clear (ok maybe fuzzy) insight into how music is made. My major influences were Hendrix, SRV, David Gilmour, Jerry Garcia, and of course Joe. Some of that music practically required that you be on "something"...lol

Happy Labor Day to all us hard workers out there. We deserve to be rich and live a worry free existence. And screw all those overly rich folk who take away our jobs and make cuts...etc...so they can buy a new Lambourghini. Piss off !!! What goes around, comes around.........Peace, D@ve

I apologize if that was a little hostile. It's just that I wrecked my back at work and my "stinking rich" boss does'nt believe that it happened at his sawmill. Can you believe that? I've worked for him for almost 10 years and this is the thanks I get. As our old friend Mr Rogers would have said, "Can you say lawsuit children"?

Austin, it'll be 14 months (on Sept.6th) without a smoke, which also happens to be my little girls 7th B-day. I'll be very thankful if my lungs recover from the 17 years I smoked a pack a day.

stu hacking, how's it going Bro'. Yeah, not smoking is great. And I only gained about 10 pounds, which brought me to a whopping 165lbs....lol.

greg m, "Wish You Were Here" is my favorite Floyd album. I picked up most (if not all) of my Gilmour influences off that album.

Narface, I totally agree...

DoTheStu, I'm 5' 11".....165 is the heaviest I've ever been. I could eat a whole cheesecake and go take a nap, and be hungry again in an hour...lol

Also, I live in MN Viking country and I'm still a diehard Pat's fan. I always go out when the Pat's are playing the Vike's so I can harass everyone...heh heh

r6rocker, thanks....and you're totally right about "da herb"......it's certainly not addictive in the traditional sense, but if you do it too long, your "give a shit-o-meter" bottoms out at zero...lol

Where can we hear this DSOTM/ Wizard of Oz thing? Sounds freaky...

Austin," Indigenous" hails from one of the poorest Nakota Indian reservations in South Dakota. I just saw them recently at a casino up here, they opened up for Pat Benetar. The guitar player Mano was incredible ( I think thats his name). The local newspapers up here were hailing him as the next blues master. They were really really good......I was thinking that PB should have opened up for them...lol...you gotta see them if they ever make it to Cali....

Death Cube, did you ever make it to the BB King / Jeff Beck show in Hinckley, MN? I did'nt make it down there myself, my girlfriend had me tied up (literally) ;)

Here's my two cents on Ticketmaster. I used to get my tix from a local music store, and he always managed to get me great seats. Well, one day he stopped selling them and I asked him why. All he could say was...."Organized Crime". I don't think he meant it was run by the Mob, but he was saying in his own way, what it has become...it's a shame.

What the heck does :"Oops Verkeered" mean? Found that when I tried to get the backing track for "Rubina" at Mick & Dave's

greg m, there is no limit on how many you can choose....lol....Keith Moon would be my 2nd pick (if only because he was a nutcase) heh heh. I admire Mitch Mitchell for his ability to improvise with Jimi in a live setting. Nothing was ever pre-rehearsed. And if anyone has seen live footage of the JHE, they know how unpredictable Jimi could be.

962, I had intended to do the exact same thing you are doing, except with Seymour Duncan "Pearly Gates" p-ups in the neck and bridge. I always thought that pick-ups designed for three way switching required that you take the 5-way out. Hmmm......You could always ask someone at Jemsite, you'll get a quicker answer over there. I am curious myself, let me know what you find out. I would also think that you would have to replace the standard pots with the ones found on a JS 1000 if you wanted to get those particular sounds...are the high pass filter and coil tap pots necessary to get full use of the Pro and Fred?

What do you think of the INF 1 and INF 2 pick-ups? They're OK I guess......they sound real "tinny" on my RGT, and they could stand to have a bit more output.

I have named my RGT42 "Mr. Neck", because of the deep lower cut-away and the 24 frets....it's nothin' but neck...lol

death cube, did you ever make it to the Jeff Beck / BB King show in Hinckley? I did'nt know Buckethead was GnR's guitarist...thats cool...

greg m, I "tap" in the normal playing position and rest my picking hand on the neck so I am able to mute the strings I am not using. I guess it's just a matter of what is comfortable...

962, you hit the nail on the head when you said the INF pick-ups lacked a unique tone, there's nothing special going on there.....and I think my tinny sound is coming from the Fender amp I'm using....anyhow, I hope you figure things out with your guit-fiddle

Plum Loco, that's a tough call...lol....no really, I'd go see Frampton if it meant making my girl happy. I never knew Toronto was a not so great place to visit.....why is that?

All of your birthday wishes to my daughter were read by her and she really appreciated it.....Thanks :)

Joe, if you ever do another cover tune like "Sleep Walk", may I suggest playing "Third Stone from the Sun" ? It is my all time favorite Jimi tune. Maybe you could get permission from Experience Hendrix to maybe play it live on your G3 tour....(hint-hint).....

Fretslayer, I think The Extremist is an awesome album.

Narface, what a terrible way to spend a rainy day..lol...I hope you survive...heh heh....I have a triple birthday party to go to today....my daughter's, who just turned 7, my son's, who will be 9 next thursday, and their cousin. I'd take a rainy day with my guitar over a day with 30 of my ex-wife's family members...lol....I keep telling myself "do it for your kids, do it for your kids" :P I may have to have a couple of beers to dull my sensory perception, or at least to be able to ignore them all...lol

Whoaaa......G3 in Minneapolis...gotta love it...(yeah I just noticed :P)...I know, I'm a bonehead. And at the Historic State Theatre to boot....great place to play. I caught the EOC tour there ;) The one negative to this is that I (might) have a gig that night...I hope I'm wrong.

Zachary, yeah get a website up and give everyone something to look at....good luck !!!

Edit: And a very painful edit indeed.......I was'nt wrong, I do have a gig that night....#$@%.....Oh well, at least I'll be playing too !!

I tried to convince my bandmates that a G3 show would be soooo much more fun than playing a gig....I even tried to bribe them with free tickets......NO WAY......I'm screwed....lol !

I like Pepsi and Coke equally.....but I buy Pepsi more often, so I guess I like Pepsi more....duhhhh !!!
