Michelle & TASTEY.......thanks. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I need to make peace with myself. I need to find my inner peace...I don't have a sliver of it. Personally I've always felt a connection to nature....and it helps me to get out in it...(we have an abundance up here)....it's invigorating.

SOTD......do I need to repeat it? ;)

Artanis-Benny......I was referring to "Is There Love in Space?"..........I think the song has a cool "007...James Bond" kind of groove going....but nobody seems to agree with that one. Oh well.

Congrats to the give-away winners !!

OK....I was allowed into the old chat but was denied the new one.....whatever.

Austin...a spider weighing a "few ounces"?......holy cow...that would be like having a spider the size of a softball drop down from your sun visor while you're driving !! Michelle.....I know you are squirming right now...LOL !! I'd most likely crash my car if I had any size spider land on me...lol !

Joe....the new CD just gets better and better every time I listen to it. "If I Could Fly" is a perfect compliment to the arrival of spring up here...thank you ;)

s1220....I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to guitar maintenance, but if you have no prior experience with truss rods, I would'nt mess with it.

And while we're on the subject of guitar repair etc....I need to replace my tone "pot" on my Fender Telecaster (it's stripped)...I was thinking of using one from my destroyed Epiphone Les Paul but I think its different in terms of OHM's or current resistance. Does anyone know offhand without me having to surf to find out?

death cube k....yeah the Epiphone uses 500K's and the Telecaster uses 250K's.....oh well....I ended up just snipping the bad tone pot out and I'm using the guitar without tone control. Eventually I will put one in there since they're so cheap. But for now it sounds pretty good without one...

Guitarded Boy...congrats and welcome to the club....lol !

Trutina.....from my guitar I go to a Vox Wah....Fulltone Ultimate Octave.....DS-1 Distortion.....Digitech Whammy......DD-5 Delay....to the clean channel of my Fender Deluxe. Someday when I get big I'll buy a Fender Twin...lol.

PhryDom....am I hearing correctly? Are you moving to the states? Was it Atlanta, Georgia? Man....talk about one extreme to another.....my only advice to you my friend.....invest in an AIR CONDITIONER !!! The humidity down that way is sickening. Good luck Bro' !

I'm going to see "Indigenous" next thursday night at the same casino my band and I played at........I heard this Mano dude is a smokin' blues guitar player.....anybody seen these guys before?

Mick 87...good luck on your quest for redemption.....if you have a warranty on them it should not be an issue. I've gone through three or four Wah's in my life...they just are'nt made tough enough...Dunlop that is. Oh wait...I'm using a Vox wah right now and it's lasted me at least 5 years....and it's just now starting to give me grief.

ravenkenshi.......since you are just starting out I would'nt get too elaborate as far as your gear selection. My first guitar was a Hondo Strat copy...('cause I wanted to be Jimi)....lol....and I learned most of the neccesary things on that guitar. Besides...if you decide you don't like it, you won't be out too much "greenage"

Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms in here ;) I'm sure my mom does'nt even know this website exists...but hey....."I love you mom" !!!! Have a very special day.....Love, your son Dave !

Master Yoda-Neil....believe me when I say...we ALL care. Sounds like things are going good for you.....and I would'nt worry too much about what other people think or say. Past experience has taught me that for the most part, people spouting off a lot of B.S. are mostly just envious. You have mountains of talent dude....you're on your way.

Hmmm....post #66688...interesting.

Mike.....yeah the ol' Vox has been pretty good to me. It's all original with no mod's. I think my next wah (and there will be a next one)....will definately have to have two power supply options. They're such battery pigs.....and they become worse the older they get it seems. I was thinking about a 535 Q but since you are having problems with yours, I'm thinking maybe not....lol. How do you like the "Q" anyhow? Does it give you the kind of sweep variations you are looking for?

Zenfish......that definately sounds like Little Richard's side of the story......the reason he "left the band" was because of LR's inflated ego. One night Jimi decided he was going to dress all flashy and "poof" out his hair a little...but LR blew a gasket...telling Jimi that he (Little Richard) was the only one allowed to look pretty. So Jimi quit......I caught an interview on TV a few years ago where Little Richard said that "He knew Jimi was going to be famous one day"......personally I don't think he knew dick....he was just trying to save face.

Trutina......did you already post about you meeting Joe? How could I have missed it? I was looking forward to reading that....damn.

Zenfish....very well said. It's unfortunate that most of todays popular bands lack the band member individuality that the 60's thru the 80's bands had...when we actually "knew" who the guitar player was or who the drummer was....etc. These days, the guitar solo is pretty much nonexistant....I get a kick out of some of these new bands on VH1 or MTV....who are enthusiastically jumping around in front of the camera and all they are doing is chording.....(look excited for the TV viewers you sap)......I think the direction music is taking is disheartening.

I think there should be a JTV.....all Joe....all day...all night...lol.

Would anyone care to post the chords for "If I Could Fly" one more time? I promise I will write it down ;)

Austin.....thanks anyways but it kept cutting out when I tried playing it.....it would be easier if someone would just post the chord changes of the song (If I Could Fly). At least one or three people in here posted them when the album was first released.......I appreciate you giving me the link but it was way more than what I asked for. Peace....D@ve

xrunner300uk.....the Carvin Legacy was most likely Steve Vai's amp.....I'm guessing it's easier to leave his rig set up beforehand rather than monkey with it between bands. Besides...if Joe's amp ever craps out (God forbid) he could always use Steve's as a quick back-up...lol !

Trutina.....the big 1-0-0-0 !!! Congrats...we sure are glad that you are here to make all of those posts....and yes I could'nt have asked for a better provider ( the man himself ) of chord info. Honestly....I feel terrible for even asking because I quit taking theory lessons a while back and if I had'nt quit, I could probably name off those chords just from listening to the song. My teacher is a very intelligent guy and has a strong desire to pass on his knowledge to me. He paid me a very high compliment once by saying that my abilities are miles above what the lesson book would show me...but I still need to learn the basics so I can achieve a new level of musical understanding. I had to quit because of money issues....but I still have the lesson book.

I honestly have to say that I am very dissappointed with the new ticket packages. Not only because I'll never be able to afford it....but because it took the fun out of being "lucky" enough to have your name picked in the drawing. I guess I think it would have been enough to have say a merchandise shop at this site so peeps could buy cool stuff....hell I was thrilled just to get an autographed sleeve with my ITLIS CD.

So to all the fans in here who don't have bills to pay or mouths to feed or gas to put in a car.....get em' while they're hot !!!

I think I've heard quite enough........still love ya Joe....but it's time to go.

Awww shit.....who am I kidding? If I had two bills to piss away right now I'd be on the phone reserving my platinum seats.........buisness is buisness right?

Austin....have you considered doing a favorite Satch CD poll? I'd like to see the results of those ;)

"If I could Fly" has one of the most beautiful guitar solos I have ever heard.

Everyone have a safe and happy Memorial Day !!

Austin....yeah you're right because I would definately vote for ITLIS at this point.
