Doin' a happy dance for Bahduh !!!! Glad to hear you are safe !

Has anyone here tried a guitar set up with the Speed Loader System? I see that Floyd Rose has a line of axes out called the "Discovery Series"...which are set up with these...which they claim are instantly in tune when you pop the strings on. Considering they start at only $399...I was wondering if it's worth it. Peace, SD

OK....so I guess that's a big "Negative" on the question I had about the Floyd Rose Speedloader system...

Everyone have a safe and happy New Year.....my heart goes out to all those affected by the earthquake / tsunami....

In case anyone happens to be in Cook, Minnesota tonight...we (Tornado Alley) will be playing at Jack's Bar on River Street from 9pm to 1am..........Peace, SD

mount......if the guitar is out of tune before you even play it...it may be that you are tightening the screws on the locking nut too tight. I've had the best results just putting them on "snug". If it's too tight...it actually compresses the string out of tune......and that is just "one" possibility as far as your tuning problem goes.....I hope it helps.

Happy New Year Satchland !!

About your SOTD....I was chatting with a co-worker the other day about "Luminous Flesh Giants" and someone else not hearing the beginning of the conversation walked up and asked if we were talking about a skin flick....LMAO....how's that for a vivid mental image...lol !

Zinc Master......congrats on reaching 900 posts in only a couple of months..lol...!!!!

YaYo....I don't know how old you are...but I remember going to all day concerts with every band imaginable playing at it...for maybe 10 or 12 bucks ! I agree totally...prices are getting way out of hand...but I wonder if Sony or some other entity is taking a nice chunk of that. It just does'nt seem like Joe's style to fleece like that.

Poweslave.....I'm not exactly sure why there "is" such a thing as a compound radius neck...but they are definately more comfortable to play and seem to be made right for the shape of one's hand !

Delfino Pie.....occasionally "Additional Creations" pops up on E Bay...that's how I came to own mine. Eventually someone will want to sell a copy....just be there when they decide to........Peace, SD

Ooooftaa !!! It was -28 degrees this morning....had to go out and warm the grocery getter up earlier than usual.

Which reminded me.....around this time last year my fiance and I moved into our place...and it was at least 20 below zero when we did it. I'd take 80 degrees and humid over sub-freezing temps any day !

eamon7.....I know there is no "Opera House" in Virginia today. It could have been any number of places on main street....my guess is the "Maco Theatre"...but I don't know how long that place has been around either...I did'nt grow up around here so.....I'll ask my boss this afternoon...he's a born 'n bred northlander. What was the name of the band you were touring with if you don't mind me asking?

Big Bunny....Who is Michael Schumacher....and why does he need a bodyguard to begin with?

eamon 7.....It sounds like you visited Perpich TV.....he's a legendary "Scheister" in this town. I bet that $100 you had to spend was almost your entire take for the gig(s) you played here.

Stevee T & Tastey........quit it now...you're making me homesick. I was born and raised in Framingham, Mass.....and the things I miss the most are Wingaersheek Beach , Hampton Beach , the Salisbury Beach waterslides and mostly...the White Mountains.

TASTEY.....yeah, Salisbury and Hampton were getting scummy 20 years ago....lots of druggies and bums hanging around the boardwalks in Salisbury. I was remembering the mid seventies to about 1980 when it was still a safe place to go....or maybe I was just too young to notice anything shady going on...lol. Are New Hampsire folk still calling yuppies from Mass. "Massholes"? I remember seeing a bumper sticker that said "Welcome to New Hampshire...now go home"...LMAO !

BigBadMoon......I use a DS-1 and it has never let me down. It is extremely versatile for the price. The reality is....how many different distortions does a person need? I'm not putting down modeling amps, but all a guy needs is a simple pedal with tone, level & distortion. Get a DS-1...you won't be sorry.

Michelle....we watched "The Surreal Life" too......OMG...I have'nt laughed that hard in a long time LOL ! Although we were concerned about having freaky, Vern Troyer nightmares that night 80.......we got lucky and did'nt wake up screaming !!! Can you imagine laying and bed and hearing that moaning he was doing when he was passed out? LMAO !!!

It seems to me that Da Brat is going to end up being Da Bitch in this show.....calling everyone "has been's". I had never heard of her until the series started so.....she ain't all that !

SteveeT.....I know exactly how you feel....I have a hard time listening to anything else. I damn near have to force myself to put something else in the CD player....

Master Neil......have a great B-Day man.....the 21st birthday in America is a banner year because it's the legal drinking age. It's supposed to be a monumental occasion, but the only thing you soon find out is that you never have enough $$$ to go out drinking every night....lol ! Happy Birthday...and don't forget to let someone else (sober) drive you around while you celebrate.

Happy thursday Satchland !!

Does anyone know where I can get parts for my Lo TRS II trem? Rich Harris won't touch TRS parts with a ten foot pole ! I lost my trem arm a little while back and I'm not having much luck finding a replacement. Peace, SD

Evenin' Satchland !!!

We...as in Tornado Alley...are playing tonight in Chisholm, MN at Tom & Jerry's Bar....stop in and have a listen if you're dumb enough to be out and about tonight.....the weatherman just threw us a wind chill advisory due to the fact that it's going to hit -20 below with a 20 mph wind....making it hover around -40 or -50 below zero !!

Have a good night all...stay warm...brrrrrrrr !!!

Joe...we hope you are feeling better.....I came across an article in a magazine about Eddie Kramer....he has quite an insight into the mind of Jimi Hendrix and has some great stories to tell. Have you ever worked with Eddie on any projects?
