Guitarmeister2005...congrats on your show. It takes a truckload of balls to play in front of anyone. I've been doing it for years and I still get the typical nervous anticipation. Congrats again Bro' !!!

Cheese...congrats to the proud Mama...

On another note, I went to my local music store to get "G3 : Live in Tokyo" with a gift certificate I got for Christmas. Only to be told that they were all returned to Sony as defective due to the spyware program on the disc.....suckage.

OMG...how can a one-hit-wonder like Blondie make it into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and not Rush? I think everyone will agree that that is just completely ass backwards. I saw Rush back in the late 80's, and it is still to this day one of the best shows I ever saw. Blondie "snaps the carrot"...It's all about money....bastards.

How cool is this ? I wonder if Fender will pay for all the back surgery you'll need after playing it for a few years..lol !

cube...yeah I know...It just bugs me that a band like Rush can get dogged like that. I still don't think Blondie qualifies as Rock-n-Roll though. Let them start a Pop Rock Hall of Fame...I'll be the first to vote for them..lol !

Yeah...that effect Eric is using sounds more like a whammy set to the octave up mode. I can come close to that sound with my FUO if I use the neck pick-up and have the tone knob at zero. But I also have the whammy, which sounds identical to Eric's sound on that song. My two cents......peace, SD

toady...not as much as I should. My problem lately is that my practicing more or less involves "shaking off the rust". If I would just sit down and go over scales or try and focus on something, I might feel like I've been more productive. There...since I knocked cigarettes already, my new resolution will be to have a more productive practice...lol...thanks !

962...."Jester" is a cool tune.....you got some pretty slick licks there..nice playin' ! Thanks for that brief explanation...theory has always been a giant brain fart for me. Can you say attention defecit kids? lol..

Plum Loco....I agree with using the clean channel to hear a pedal's true potential. I spent $1100 on my '65 reissue Twin Reverb solely for the clean channel. I have to admit though, that 85 watts is almost too much for clubs let alone practicing at home...lol.

962....I can read music to a cetain extent. Honestly though I enjoy improvising without knowing exactly where I am on the neck...lol...I know I'm probably hurting myself by not improving my knowledge of scales and modes etc...I'm working on it...I was taking theory lessons for a while but ran out of re$ources..if ya know what I mean.

civgeek....sounds like in order for your sister in law to "be the best person she can be" she needs to grow up and find her own place to live. It's a hidden blessing...trust me...now she's directly out of your hair...lol. Good luck auditioning guitarists...wish I could audition for ya !

Satch-heads....I'm playing at a coming home party tonight for a guy who got hurt by a roadside bomb in Iraq. I guess he was riding lookout in a convoy and spotted something on the road. As he ducked his head inside to tell the driver to stop, a bomb went off !! According to the shrapnel found in his helmet, if he had'nt ducked at that exact moment he would have been mortally wounded...lucky guy.

peace, SD

Hey Satchland...

Has anyone seen the new Geico commercial? What the hell is "pie & chips" ? I can only guess that the "chip" part means french fries? The possibilities on the "pie " end are endless I suppose....I know it has an entirely different meaning but it just sounds (and tastes) WRONG...

What are you all talking about? There is'nt any picture of an album cover or the actual word "Colossal" in any of those pictures in the link Tracie posted....

Not to sound like an ass or anything, but does everyone remember Jon saying he had a newborn? C'mon...give him a break. I'm sure this is'nt the only website that he manages either.

Alexandre....thanks for the link. One of my favorite Jimi songs of all time.....I recently went out and bought "Are You Experienced" on CD just so I could listen to that song again. The last time I bought it was when it was still printed on vinyl....'83 or '84 maybe....

Is there any way to see that MTV unplugged show? Apparently it was never mass-produced...what a shame.

I wonder if Jonathan Mover was even that familiar with the song....he did'nt stop at the appropriate times...oh well...we all know the deal with Jonathan anyways...lol ! Thanks again Alexandre !!

Rob310....actually that's the new "rock mirror finish" JS....but you could almost get a chromeboy for that price...wow ! Too much for my poor, working-class Irish ass.

Here's a chrome bass for all you bass players.

alexandre....happy birthday !!

Cool video of Eric Johnson......dig that late 80's haircut too.. Not sure if that was before or after SRV died, but I bet it would have been a tough Austin crowd if it was after...Nice to hear that he may do another G3. Hope he sticks it out this time around. Peace, SD

cube....wow...I actually remember when you used that nickname..lol....ah the old messageboard....With the rapid posting that goes on in here, I don't think half of the T2J'rs that are here now would have survived the two hour wait until you could post again. Was it two hours or three? Can't remember now...

Satriella...all you need to do is visit cubes site and you will see that he is no "gangsta"...LMAO...right cube? LOL !!

Austin....you left out the part where we voted you to give the "Interview with Joe".......c'mon man, I know you're trying to be humble ;)

Zinc Master....it's a shame that "Workingmans Dead" was'nt on that remastering list..

Zinc...it's a good one in my book. Less the acid-fused mid sixties and more Americana / Folk....good stuff..
