Michelle....no doubles in this family but quite a few fall in the same month. So in September we usually have a big blowout for all of them at once...lol.

Hey folks...
I just returned from a long dreaded ear exam and hearing test. And as I feared my hearing has suffered after many years of playing. I've been deaf in my right ear since about birth and my left has gotten worse in the last year or so. The results are that I've lost some of the higher frequencies in my only good ear, and that if I continue playing I have to invest in very expensive (around $200/pair) custom-fitted earplugs. Very expensive but very worth it if I want to keep going. So if anyone tells you to get some..do it...otherwise you'll be posting this same message. Peace, SD

Joe...I'd really like to contribute to your cause by purchasing a raffle ticket, but you don't bother to stop in Minnesota anymore.
Why don't you offer them up at your website? So maybe some of us unfortunate fans who get snubbed from the tour at least have a chance to win one of those guitars?
My wife bought tickets for John Prine who will be visiting Duluth in May. I may have to buy one of HIS CD's, because apparently I have to re-evaluate how I spend my hard earned money.

cube....I respect your opinion of Jimi. As a live performer he was, more often than not, too fucked up to be playing. But on the other hand he was remarkable in the studio, which is where he preferred to be anyways. And so many guitarists over the years have cited him as an influence in one way or another. Could they all be wrong? I'd be happier if I thought there was at least ONE thing you like about him. Aside from the fact that he's dead...lol !
And you're right about Jeff Beck...he's a fuckin' dynamo !! He gets better with every album. I'm still listening to "You Had It Coming".....He's the best slide player alive today. Nobody but Jeff could have pulled of that version of "Nadia"...it sends shivers up my spine.
Michelle...you make the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up when you're mad. lol ! It's all good right? lol..

Zenfish....I have a VHS of the "Band Of Gypsies" and a CD of the "Woodstock" show. I also have a collection of his albums, some are very rare and others are not. Why do you ask?
cube...I definately think it was wrong for people to exclaim Jimi as "the best there ever was or will be". And for as much as I like to listen to him, I've never made that claim. I only give him credit for me wanting to play and convincing my mom to buy me a guitar when I was 15..lol ! peace..

Joe...once again..thanks for not stopping in Minnesota. I know it's taken a lot of hard work to put yourself in that little gated community in San Francisco. But some of your fans of many years are super colossally dissappointed. It's easy to forget about the people who put you there is'nt it?
And everyone can respond and say I'm an ass or that I'm wrong. I won't be returning to read them so please... save you energy for happier posts. You're all wonderful and unique folks and I've made one or three lifelong friends in here. I just can't, with all of my heart, focus my energy here anymore. I'm too dissappointed. Good luck to everyone...maybe we'll see you on the flip side. Peace, SD

Once again another guitarist has chosen to bypass Minneapolis/St Paul. What's wrong with you people? Not gonna make that Jaguar payment if you stop up here?
No one plays for the sake of playing anymore....it's sad.

Stevee T....have'nt decided as of yet on a wah. Was your Power Wah also a volume pedal or just wah alone? Do you still have it or how long did it last you before it expired ;)

SteveeT....sorry to hear that. I'm sure the pedal was'nt the only thing you lost. That's gotta hurt..I don't even want to know what else was lost :/
Anyhoo...I'm thinking the Power Wah / Volume is the way to go. I was thinking of taking up slide guitar, and the volume option would work well getting that pedal steel sound. Thanks for the info Bro'

Hey Satchland..
Last night my fretting hand seized up on me about halfway through our gig. My cramped hand was literally clamped to the neck...it sucked. Usually it takes about half of the first set to get my hands warmed up, but this cramping never went away for the whole night. Anyone here ever experience this problem? And was there a solution? Maybe I just need to spend more time practicing every day to stay on top of it.....
