Jacquie, I can feel a bad cold coming on too, except I'm not speech impaired yet...lol The bad part for me is the fact that I have a gig Friday night, and this cold will most likely be full blown by then. My head will be numb from medicine too. Just lovely....

Clarky, I did'nt mean to come off as stupid, I just like to scold myself now and again for waiting so long to learn it right :)

Hi everyone....this is the infamous day that Mr. Hendrix passed on 32 years ago (of course you all know that). It is also on or around the time Mr Satriani decided to dedicate his life to music....God bless him, what a great decision that was.

Joe, do you care to comment on this special day for you and countless others?

19. NonSmoker......sorry, I'm too tired from work to type in everybody elses "nick's" :) JBlaze for guitar guard....

Satchman9, I always remember 9/18, not only because of Jimi, it's also my son's birthday....lol. I was only 13 months old when Jimi died...heh heh...makes you feel old huh? :) It's funny that you mention Isle of Wight because my brother sent me the video of that concert (what a mess), all those people trying to break down the gates because they were too cheap to pay 2 or 3 dollars to see some of the greatest bands on Earth. Just goes to show that "hippies" were not all peace loving, blah blah blah. They got down right irritable if something was not given to them for nothing.....

OK Phrygian Dominant......I'm going to Talk to Joe now, but chances are someone else will have the answer for me, which is fine with me. "On the LISF version of Time, what is the chord that Eric is strumming after they change up near the end of the song? Joe? I hope that made sense...

Geez, why did I get bumped from the # 19 spot on the JBlaze Guitar Bodyguard petition? Oh well, you still have my vote JBlaze.....rock on!!!

Nick Lee, break a leg at your competition, I hope you take it all :)

We have a gig tonight in downtown Cook, Minnesota (pop. 600)...lol.....it's kind of out of the way for most everybody on the planet, but if you happen to be in Minnesota tonight, come on down and check it out...you too Joe :)

Edit: We'll be playing there Friday the 27th too......later, Dave

Phrygian Dominant, I would'nt worry about being booted from here. I easily have said the stupidest things to people in here either because I was envious, jealous, or just plain in a bad mood. And I always regret it the moment I sign off. It's obvious to me that most everybody in here is extremely forgiving and besides, we all share a common bond.

Edit: Maybe I mis-understood you, did you mean that you are likely to get booted from wherever you are staying? Oh well, I made my point anyways. My sincere apologies to all I have offended in the past. JSC2, I owe you a big one.

Shell, you don't have to apologize. I have slipped up once already (oops, did I say that). On a positive note, that one cigarette knocked me on my ass and tasted like absolute crap. So at this point, I'll be even less likely to have one again. In case anyone is interested, I went almost 3 months before I cheated. And the reason I had one was because we were playing a gig one night a while back, and our singer spilled an entire whiskey coke on our mixing board in between the 2nd and 3rd set. Luckily (for him), we knew someone with a PA that let us borrow it :) It was a stressful moment and I gave in....no one is perfect.

Clarky, I had to skip over your posts because I have'nt tested myself yet from your last one...lol...I promise I'll keep up from now on......thanks again for the lessons, you are doing all of us a world of good :)

Edit: Clarky, the only one I blundered on was the Bb, I came up with Bb C D Eb E# F# G#, mostly my fault but my daughter started singing the ABC song when she saw my homework....lol...that kind of messed my head up a little (lame excuse)

That Stratocaster that Dweezil is selling does have a lot of history behind it, but the fact that it is not all original might sway some people from buying it. I know that if I had the option of buying it, I would want it because Jimi had played/owned it, but it's not the same neck that Jimi played on, which for me takes away a lot of the allure. It sounds like Dweezil is strapped for cash. If Frank Zappa was my dad, I would'nt be selling his guitar.

Geez, all you guys giving different opinions or versions of how music is read or written....it's giving me a headache. "Here, try one of these" "What are they"? They're Nuprin, little, yellow, different ;)

Clarky, I think I'll not try and keep up with your posts. I'll be one behind for a while.....

Whojackafibby, excellent answer to the Pink Floyd trivia question.....you beat me to it....lol BTW, how come I never see you on MSN?

I agree it would be great to see Joe and the band make it to Minneapolis/ St. Paul on the "Strange Beautiful Evening With" tour....you can come to Duluth too, I would only have to drive 110 miles instead of 350.

I've decided that I'm better off being theory stupid...you guys are confusing me.

Yeah I hear ya Kinger, I'll just have to concentrate on Clarky's posts instead of the posts that explain why you can't use an (Fmaj7th augmented 9th over a double 5th flattened to a sharp w/2 scoops of rocky road ice cream) on a handmade Hawaiian Koa ukelele on a Sunday afternoon in the rain...lol...

Oh...Hi Joe :)

Hello all...

I just received my poster of the LISF shows, I picked it up on e-bay a while back, very cheap I might add. I'm getting a nice frame for it and have a very special place on my wall for it...lol

They had one on there that was autographed by Joe but someone must have put a high proxy bid on it because it was getting ridiculously high priced, way beyond my cash flow.

Ya Yo, I almost forgot about the venue nazi's. I hope it does'nt prevent you from going to another show in the future.

Austin, cheeze-its and milk? Aaaaack....with all that salt they put on them? lol....

Cyberjoe, in your next post, start with when you open it and finally plug it in and get to play it.....I was just starting to salivate when you got to the opening it and peeking inside part, but then you had to go to work or whatever.

And then I read Austin's post about cheeze-its and milk and lost my appetite.....ha ha ha

I had a friend once who liked bologna and peanut butter sandwiches....gross!!!!

Whojackafibby, that graham cracker lasagna sounds goooood....hurts my teeth just thinking about it though. I especially like your spaghetti and meatball recipe...mmmmmm, I'll be over for dinner next time you make some ;)

Cyberjoe, thanks for finishing the story...lol...I've asked numerous people about which color they would choose for the JS-1000, they all chose the black pearl. But there is something about the white one that I'm drawn to, it's so nice looking. I'll end up disappointing all my friends and buying the white one I'm sure.

YaYo, I had an '83 Toyota Tercel in high school. It had 263,000 miles on it when it died. And the only reason it died was because I lent it out to a buddy who never checked the oil (dumb ass), he ran it dry.

I have become "mountain man"

About windows millennium. I use it on my PC, or I should say it came with it installed. It works fine except that it's not fond of games, especially Diablo II. Even if I shut down all the un-neccessary programs that are running, it still freezes up. I gave up trying to play it a long time ago. Anybody have any ideas of what I might be overlooking?

Death Cube, have fun with the new UV777.....(used, but new to you) You could have picked up a nice brand new JS-1000 for that kind of bread. Oh well, to each his own :)

Joe, watch the sushi, it will rot your guts if it's not fresh. You don't need a case of the "trots" while you are trying to play....lol

rac, a "Joe only" show in the Bay Area is about as common as an old hippie in the Bay Area. You can certainly count on seeing him more often than the majority of his fans. Consider yourself fortunate, as many of us have to wait a year or two before he makes it our way. Listen to me whine....eehhhhhheeee.....lol.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I had a surreal dream last night, my first "Satch" dream. I was at a concert with my family, we were sitting in the nosebleed section. Actually, I was sitting with a friend whom I can't identify, and my family was a few seats over. I did'nt know who the band was, until I looked over at my family. And there was Joe playing right in front of my mom and dad and brother and sister. I ran over and joined them, all of a sudden, Joe stopped playing in the middle of the song, reached over my family, shook my hand and said "hey Dave, how ya doin'? It was awesome and it seemed so real (as most dreams do). Another funny thing was that my head was shaved bald...lol...I could'nt see myself, but I knew I did'nt have any hair. As with all dreams, it ended. But mine ended with my daughter waking me up at 6:30am shaking a box of Fruit Loops in my face yelling "wake up dad, I'm hungry" :)

Joe, you have invaded my sub-conscious mind. I would normally say "get out of my head", but you can stay as long as you like. No arguments here.......Peace, Dave

Michelle, Joe would get breakfast in bed at my house....lol...but I doubt he would want to see my ugly mug first thing in the morning :) After a couple of cups of coffee maybe...

Oh yeah, I'm not sure what song was being played in my dream, but I'm positive it was in the key of G. I want to say it was "Rubina", but I'm not entirely sure.

Hey everyone...

It's ridiculous to think that someone would not know who Joe is. So I propose that every one of us make 10 signs, out of cardboard or whatever, and write in big black letters Joe's name. Go out one evening and put them on light poles for as far as you care to drive. (do I live a boring existance or what)

Anyways, I'd be willing to bet that a small percentage of the people who see them will remember Joe and start listening again, or just listen out of curiosity. And of course, become lifelong fans.

I'd do it just because Joe's music means that much to me....

Invigor, How did you manage to score a JS directly from the factory? I thought everyone had to go through a dealer to get one. Also, how much did they soak you for buying it direct, if you don't mind me asking?

Ovation 1, I still play with Lego's ;) My son has quite a collection of parts. On rainy days, we put together our own spaceships and fight the evil hordes that intend to take over our planet.

Chocoholic, you have a very good point. Good seats indeed. At my first "Satch" show, I had 3rd row seats right in front of Joe and Eric. It was loud as heck, but it was worth it.

Michelle, Yes, parading around in our underwear would certainly draw some attention. I'm going to check out that site with all the bumper stickers and whatnot...thanks :)

Yesss....Joe thank you for adding Medina, Minnesota to your tour....this just made my day/month/year......it will certainly be the best concert yet. Happy, happy...Joy, Joy.....a smile for all, and an evening with Joe :)

Webmaster, this may be a pre-mature question, but are there going to be any aftershow passes for the MN stop? I did'nt see any attendance list option, just curious. Thanks, Dave
