I had the opportunity to meet him, but I decided to talk to the rest of the band instead because they were being severely neglected. And I think they were grateful..

Pete Townshend's take on Jimi Hendrix...pretty cool.
Well, it's obvious that when they were judging the 100 greatest guitarists, they were'nt taking technical ability into consideration. Keith Richards is #10...wtf?

My younger bro' gave me a Turbo Tube Screamer a few years back and I love it. It makes you work harder to squeeze those notes out. And when you only have to deal with one pedal it makes it easier too. When I go out and do the blues thing thats all I bring with me, along with my Twin and Tele...

guitarman...he sets his volume at 1 or 2 O'clock? I thought he set that at 5 also. If I were to set mine at 1 or 2 it would be useless.
GlitzMan.....my wife has been working steady. I'm still out of work but have been picking up odd jobs in the last few days...better than nothing I guess.

Hey Satchland...
I get to audition for a local band tomorrow night called the "Swing Dogs"..lol. I guess they are fairly well established and a couple of the guys have some schooling under their belts. I don't think I'll need the satchurator for this gig. Probably just the three T's...telecaster, tube screamer & twin reverb.....ok I'm bringing my delay pedal too....I can't help it.

Another job field that is on the up-swing despite the state of the economy is the medical field. Nurses, nurses aides etc.. If you have the patience (and the stomach)..it's a job industry that will only get better over the next decade or so. I was considering getting out of the construction racket and going back to school to work at a clinic or a hospital.
And Holy Buckets !! We had -40 F at my house early this morning. How do you like them (frozen) apples?

Ugghh...I went to audition for this band and the only one who showed was the bass player, who's basement and house they practice at. The other guitarist has the flu and the drummer and keyboardist thought practice was changed to saturday...some things never change...lol. All in all they play pretty good music...maybe a little mellow for my tastes. That'll certainly change if they let me in. I'm not a mellow player by any stretch.
It's -30 F in the northland this morning...bundle up peeps.

GlitzMan....we are at -26 F right now. And it's supposed to warm up to 28 above by next wednesday. Hard to believe.
I'm supposed to go and meet the rest of the band on saturday night. I only got to jam with the bass player the other night. They have some pretty good original tunes...a bit mellow for my playing style but then again I've had people tell me that I need to slow down a bit. I'll have a better idea if it's something I'm interested in once I meet everybody else.

We're throwing a B-Day party for my wife today....it's going to be chaos in our quiet little house for a few hours. I hope her dad brings some Jack Daniels ;)

Hey Satchland..
On sunday I lost a friend and bass guitar player Frank Garcia from a heart attack, he was only 56. He had the musical spirit of a thousand men. Have a safe and happy journey Frank. We'll get to play together again someday..

GlitzMan....everything is ok I guess. Well maybe not so much. I had to sell my Stratocaster and my Satchurator so I could buy our next 200 gallons of propane. Family comes first above all else...

cube....I would be sorely disappointed if it were staged in any way. What did you see or hear to make you suspect something?
I have friends in their 40's who still go apesh!t over WWF...LMAO !! I could never get into it because it looked so obviously fake.

I noticed that when Coldplay went up to receive one of their grammys, it happened to be Blink 182 who gave it to them. If I had been Tom Delonge I would have made a comment about it as I was shaking their hands. I wonder if he was thinking "What a bunch of dorks these guys are"...
cheese....not meaning to be nosy, but what did your resident formally living individual do to get your attention? I'm intriqued..

cheese...that's pretty wild. I've never experienced anything personally. Except that maybe once in a while a certain house gives me the creeps and makes the hair on my neck stand up. There are tons of incidents up here, in particular certain homes that were built accidently on Native American burial sites or Indian-owned property. There are people buried all over the place up here dating back 10,000+ years..
