Hey did anyone else notice that the "Reward for stolen guitar" thingy is missing from the home page? What's up webmaster? Was the guitar found or is it a lost cause?

Plum Loco, I agree with you 100% on the theory thing. It's more fun playing what feels right, rather than playing what is technically right. I'm not knocking theory, it's very important, but it is'nt fun anymore when it becomes work.

dud 26, no, no, no, no, absolutely DO NOT put lemon oil on ANY part of your guitar. Lemon oil is the devil.....any guitar polish or a very lightly dampened cloth is all you need to clean your fretboard.

Hey everyone!!!! I am post number 13,000.....awesome :) :) :)

I hear ya Phrygian, I was'nt trying to say that learning theory is not a good idea.

I meant to ask everyone this in my last post. Our band is trying to come up with a good name for ourselves. I would greatly appreciate any ideas...you can email me or just post it here, I check in often when I'm home.

Austin, we play mostly hard rock. We have an original here and there but it's mostly covers. Metallica, Godsmack, AC/DC, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Puddle of Mud, Gun's&Roses, Candlebox, Pearl Jam, and a whole mess load of others I could'nt possibly type out in one sitting...lol...hope that helps :) Oh yeah, I almost left out ZZ Top, I love those guys..

Well that was good timing on my part, being next to Joe in the posting ;)

Austin, we play "Sweet Emotion", "Walk this way", "Toys in the Attic" (my favorite), and "Come Together" which is a Beatles song of course, but Aerosmiths version, which they put out as part of that hilarious Bee Gees remake of Sgt. Peppers. Geez, the nerve of those guys...LMAO

Well, thanks to the people who had suggestions for a band name, I was kind of surprised that there were not more considering the sheer magnitude of the creativity that visits this site every day :)

Whoever it was that suggested "Psiotic Duck" for a band name, was it you death cube? We all had a good laugh about that one at work today. It's a good name, but it's funny too!

I need an opinion from anyone....I'm looking at possibly getting an RGT42 in Black pearl, Ibanez of course. Have a look at their site and tell me what you think. I'm always hearing how terrible the Lo-TRS bridge is, but I was told that they are not that bad if set up properly.

9 days Joe.....only 9 days left :) :) :)

Thanks JSC1, I guess if I still like the guitar after 3 years I'll get myself a new Low Pro Trem for it....it's cheaper than buying a new guitar :)

Narface, Mowlie 2000, JSC1, thanks for the info and suggestions.....I'll be hitting Guitar Center next thursday before I go to the "Satch" show, so I'll be trying out numerous guitars while I'm there. Hey, maybe Mike Manning or even our guitar hero will be in the store too :) You never know!

Everyone should play at least one Hendrix tune today. Happy Birthday Jimi!!!

Aside from the fact that Moon and Bonham are both idiots for dying before their time....it's a hard call for me. Keith Moon was a maniac and an incredible drummer wheras John Bonham was certainly more refined. Bonham had a lot more tricks up his sleeve. I have to side with YaYo, I like Keith Moon better because he was a nutcase AND he was an incredible drummer.

You are right Austin, it is not the stolen one since that one was done by Donnie Hunt, and the E Bay axe is a Herc replica. Herc does a nice job, I wish I had an extra five or six hundred bucks laying around to have my guitar done. If I ever get a JS-1000, I'd like to have a JS-3 replica. I love that "faces" paint job !

Lots of laughs to everyone who responded to Tube vs. Solid.....I know it's a no-brainer, tubes will win every time. Some solid state amps sound really nice, especially when played clean, but they just don't have the presence of an all-tube amplifier, or the tone. I was able to try out a Crate BV300HB, which is 300 watts/ 3 channels, all tube head. Man did that sound sweet. And you could see through the grill on the face, all 16 tubes glowing and humming. What a sight that would be under the Christmas tree this year. Of course Santa could just put $2000 in my stocking and I could go buy it myself. Ho-Ho-Ho-Hoooooo my God my wallet is empty now....LMAO

Happy Birthday Leanna !!!

YaYo, you are right it does seem pointless...

I absolutely love Mesa Boogie, I wish I could afford one...hmmm...someday ! LMAO about cookin' steaks on the amp. When my daughters easy bake oven finally dies, she can put her cake pans in the back of the amp....lol

I have to take a neutral stand on this one, I can't say one is better than the other, they are just different. Both songs get a ten from me.

Oh well Megaboyd, I guess having faith is'nt enough sometimes.....better luck next time (for me) anyways.

Any of you guys from Minnesota who won aftershow passes can e-mail me if you have an extra pass, so a devoted fan (online and off) like me might get to meet Joe this time around.

I have a novel idea...why dont you just close your eyes and play what comes from your heart, without wondering if you are picking correctly. You know, because I'm an economy picker and I've been told many times that I'm an exceptional player. Theres some food for your brain....

2 days until the Medina, MN show Joe, I'm losing sleep already...lol Now supposedly, the Medina Entertainment Center makes everybody sit down for the show. If that is the case, then I will be the guy dressed in black with a long black leather jacket, getting ushered back to my seat because I keep running up to the stage to watch you play.

Its OK Austin, I'll be just happy to see him play, its been 2 years. There is always next time :)

If there is anyone at T2J who is going to the show, maybe we could hook up at the concert. I'm going alone this time and I'll feel like a total "Dork" if I have to sit by myself.
