CHRYSALIS 777, my deepest condolences.

r6r, that IS one of the coolest songs. I also love Quadrant 4. The whole cd is good :)

NATSA, I happen to LOVE my false buddha idols :)

chrysalis_777, it was no coincidence. That's what's it's all about. Looking to the sky in good times and bad. For the most part, it always makes the bad times better. What a great gift from your brother to all at the burial.

Sharon, hope your dogs are feeling better soon. That Sunny really IS a monster, huh? lol!

2 Ton, '64 was a great year, wasn't it! lol! I feel the same way you do. When your younger, 38 seems like your life is half over, but when you actually get here (38), you realize that it's pretty cool. :)

HI JOE! Hope you guys are having a great time! Tell Jeff & the guys I said hi! Hope the band wears those special blue t-shirts throughout the tour. We love to see them in the pictures. Very cool :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

anibur, I'm busy with getting things ready for the holiday. Kiddies off school, shopping, work. This week my daughter and I went through years of pictures and picked out some of the funniest family moments caught on film. We put the pics on 2 big posterboards and titled it "Dysfunctional Family Moments ~ we put the FUN in dysfunction!" and we wrote funny captions under each picture. We're going to take it to my sisters for the whole family to see today. Man, it's hysterical! Hope everyone has a great day, and we can all be thankful we found Joe Satriani and his strange beautiful music.

Dragonchild, I don't play guitar, but I do know that when I SEE a song being played it let's me realize all the notes and playing that goes into it. Just hearing it is good, but seeing it is better, so I'm sure knowing how to play it must be even greater than that. I believe that I can enjoy music just as much as a guitar player though.

MPHGT 10 - SWTA 6

Joe always looks so happy when he plays Surfing. The cross-over thingy on MPHGT is very cool, but Joe get's in a zone when he plays Surfing.

Austin, that's Mrs Non-Technical to you! lol! After a loooong black Friday, then work, by 11:15 pm all I could muster up was "that cross-over thingy". lmao!! Hey, with me, ya get what ya get! LOL!! You have to admit, you DID know what I was talking about :)

JSClone1, I didn't exactly mean quantity. I mean listening to say, Satch or Vai, is great ~ but watching them play is fantastic! Even for a song like AWM,AWY, watching it being played seems to open it up a bit more.

Happy Saturday people!

edit ~ I just took notice that this post was posted at 8:15am (pt), and the post I wrote last night was exactly 12 hours ago...at 8:15 pm. Pretty wierd....

YaYo, niiiice one dude!!

Love ya Joe!

Ovation, I watched disk 2 of LISF tonight. No way can I sit still! First I smile - that big goofy smile that almost makes you laugh. Then my head starts to rock, and before you know it, I'm beating my cat to the beat of the bass, crashing the imaginary symbols, making faces with Joe, and Mooing Stu. LOL! We call our cat Moey Moo, so I Moo when Stu gets Stued. lol! Eventually I'm clapping and whistling between songs, and before you know it, I have the volume up so loud that I'm getting yelled at by everybody in the house to TURN IT DOWN! Not a sedentary moment in the whole damn thing!! lmao!!

Ken, so sorry to hear about your bros at the firehouse. That sucks hard. Thanks for your great words. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a death to remind us what life's about. We're so busy going about our buisness that sometimes we forget the core of it all. Hats off to all you folks who protect and serve.

Ovation, I'll give ya a swig o' this wine I'm having. ACK! I thought the bottle was just to wierd, so I bought it to see if it was any good. lol! It's from Bully Hill Vineyards in NY State and it's called Love My Goat (I kid you not ~ no pun intended). LOL! The only explanation of what the wine tastes like on the bottle was "mellow", so I thought "hell, I like mellow!" ACK! Goat piss is more like it! lmao!!! Good thing I have pretzels to kill it. lol! It is making me quite silly, so...here's to goat piss! *Shel raises her glass* LOL!

Happy Birthday Elwood ~~~~ and Happy Birthday to Jasmine Irvine!!

JS Clone1, IMO, another self-titled would be killer! That's the cd I fell in love with and the one that means the most to me personally. It will always be my favorite. As much as I love that cd, I understand that Joe has to move foreward and conquer new territory. It would be kinda lame if he did the same thing over & over again. My next fav cd would be The Extremist. Killer song. Killer cd!

Hi Joe! Love ya!

What a night. My husband and I woke up at 3 a.m. to a noisy diesel truck outside, chains rattling and pipes dragging. I got up to look out the window and seen a flatbed tow truck. I no sooner got a look at the truck (it was pulled in behind my car) and it pulled out onto the street, slammed into reverse, and blew down the street and around the corner, IN REVERSE! wtf?? I've never seen a truck move so fast in reverse on a small street...or anywhere for that matter. I didn't know if something shady was happening to my car or what. We went back to bed and a few minutes we heard it again. It pulled up behind my car again, and this shady dude came out from the shadows and ran around the truck to talk to the driver, then ran and disappeared again. The driver was on a cell phone off & on - prolly with the shady guy in the shadows. lol! This time I got a look at the side of the truck. It said "REPOSSESSION TOWING" lol! After a few minutes, a cop shows up (seems we weren't the only ones they woke up) and the guy got out of the truck with his paperwork to have a chat. I have no idea who's car they were looking for, but man, they're some shifty dudes that do that job! It was like a movie or something. lol! After the cop showed up I figured I could sleep again, so I layed there till about 4 a.m. listening to this damn diesel truck till it finally left and I fell asleep. Gotta watch out for the repo man. I've never seen them in action before. I don't know if they got what they were looking for, but I'd place my bets they did. Man, I'm tired too!

Mr Nick, it wasn't my bidness. I pay my bills, so they weren't after me! lol! Although it was annoying, it was kinda cool seeing them in action. I still have no idea who's car they were after. I think it was somebody on the next street over? They were a couple of youngin's in their 20's, maybe 30? Once the cop arrived, I let my guard down and tried to forget about it and sleep. Hell, he could have been lurking out there all night? I know he wasn't looking for my '89 Honda! LOL!! I have to wake up early, and staying awake to watch that all night wasn't worth it - neither was getting pissed at them. They were doing their job. Now if they were messing with my car or van...that's a different story!

JS Clone 1, only ONE time??? One??? Good God y'all! It's a masterpiece!! I LOVE the bluesy vibe Joe has throughout the record. The ENTIRE cd is killer! KILLER I SAY!! lol! Remember that old "desert island" question? Well, I'd have Joe's self-titled cd & Metallica's black album cd. LOL! You really should listen to it again. Do you have the video? The making of LFG is fantastic! Go give it another listen and let me know what you think. Cool #9, LFG, Down, Down, Down, If, S.M.F, Slow Down Blues, ...lawd gimme strenff!! lol! My God, those are some of the best songs ever written!! lol!

JBlaze, you are missed!

McDave, have a drink on me!! lol! (AC/DC anyone?)

HFOB - 8, MindStorm - 9

I found out a bit more about the repo man saga ~ figgers, we missed all the excitement and only caught the aftershow. lol! Seems repo man was after my neighbors truck. He had the hooks in it and had the front end off the ground, and my neighbor busted out his door and ran up to repo man asking wtf? Repo man says "I'm here to take the truck" and neighbor dude say "not tonight your not!" Neighbor dude gets in his truck and starts it and slams it into reverse and floors it, but the hooks got it, so the crazy mofo throws it into DRIVE and goes forward, up and off the side of repo man's truck, lands in a neighbors lawn, and blows out of here ~ hooks & all! lmao!! His glory only lasted a day though. Repo man got his truck the next day when he had it parked somewhere else. lmao!! Those guys are slick man! We heard chains and metal scraping, but hell, we didn't know it was all that! lol!! Poor dude is truckless now :(

The Korn show I was taking my daughter & her friends to has been canceled. Man, we're so bummed. We we're going to have a blast too. I was using that show as a distraction that I'm not seeing Joe this time around, and now, I'm just bummin' all around *Shel makes boo-boo face* No Joe, no Korn, no nuttin'.

My vote goes for Circles Live ~ I don't know the count. sorry

PhryDom, thanks man! lol! How'd you know my fav song there? lol! I'm not a huge Korn fan, but I dig thrashing around the house and getting stupid with the kids. Man, we would have had so much fun. Anyways, I took my frustration out shoveling 5 of my neighbors pavements plus my own. We got about 7-8 inches of snow today. It's beautiful! Schools were closed. My work closed. Not a bad day in my book. lol! Now here's a song back to you ~ All I want in life is to be happy........

I think Joe should wear a kilt. How bout it Joe??
