MIKE.......SON OF SMITHERS, anibur already answered your question about Carol & Joan ~ they're Joe's sisters.

Ovation, if I said that to my boss he'd be rollin', but it's so much funnier when you know the story behind the story. No internet at work though, so I'd have to splain it to him. Black metal ~ lmao!!!

Since today is such a big football day for alot of folks here in the U.S., I thought I'd throw this piece from the newspaper out here to see how other people rate as football fans. This pertains to the 700 section at Veteran's Stadium in Philly. copy & paste ~http://www.readingeagle.com/re/news/1082225.asp

Since my team lost last weekend, I regretfully have to say ~ GO EAGLES!

*I wrinkled my nose when I said that*

Ovation, I only ever went to one game at the Vet. Eagles against the Redskins. Might have been '93 or '94? I wore a Redskins sweatshirt & maroon jeans (I usually root for whoever's playing against the Birds), but my husband was sporting an Eagles shirt. The fans weren't to nasty towards me, but I did get the occasional "Redskins suck" comment. The 'Skins were winning till the last 7 seconds of the game, then the Eagles got a TD. The stadium went CRAZY to say the least. The guy standing next to my husband was so excited he smacked my husband (in a congratulatory way) on his arm - or should I say - right on his day old tattoo. lmao!! I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his skull! To me, it was worth the loss. lmao! WHACK! It still brings a smile to my face after all these years :) LOL! Oh, and as for the turntables...maybe you should start with some bling, bling. How bout a gold toof?

Ovation, gold toof in the hiz-zouse. lol!

r6r, only on a full moon ;-) lol!

Austin, I'm going for the Raiders. My favorite player, Rod Woodson, is there (been a fan of his since he was with the Steelers), plus Jerry Rice** & Romanowski (ex-49er's) - they have a good team. The fans in Raider Nation are the most fun to watch too. I actually fell asleep for part of the Eagles game. I figured the first big play was gonna be their last. lol!

edit : It's Martin Luther King jr day. Do something nice for somebody today :)

gruskada, OMG! can you imagine those things flying down the hills of San Francisco! lmao!! The carnage! lol! They might be helpful going UP the hills, but man, going down...better pad up and get a mouth guard & helmet! LOL!! They look like so much fun. I would love to have one to zip around on. Hell, the kids can't even ride skateboards on the sidewalks here, so they'd prolly be outlawed pdq.

HEY JOE, I was watching The Who - Live at the Isle of Wight Fest. 1970 on dvd today. Man, what a great band. Anyways, I get such a kick out of watching Keith Moon play. Next time you guys practice, tell Jeff to do his best K. Moon impersonation and you'll be guaranteed a good laugh. You can do the windmills...but please, don't smash anything :)

R6R, my husband loves to watch Shania Twain...but only with the mute button on ;-) lol! I don't think she actually qualifies as a cheesy ho though. IMO Christina Agucheeseho gets the #1 spot. Who's your favorite cheesy ho? I think mines LL Cool J. lmao!!!

H302, do they actually think a real terrorist is going to say "ahhh, ya caught me..." and fess up? ha! Do you think a cop ever pulls over a person, asking "do you know how fast you were driving?" and have the person say "yes sir, I was going 97 mph sir!" duh! Ah well, congrats on your purchase! lol!

Guitarcake, Sure, everybody needs a back up band. I'd look kinda silly up there ~ just me and my cow bell. I could use a few more quick learning instrumentalists like yourself!! LOL!

Drumstick, seems you didn't have a chance. Sounds like your teacher was a bit nasty. Forget that wanker and keep your chin up. The first time is always the worst. It can only get better from here :)

Maaaaaaan, this game is suckin' butt! This is a Super Bowl sleeper fer sure. 34 ~ 3. The Raiders just aren't getting it done :( Although my boy ROD WOODSON is all over the place! :) I wanted the Raiders to win so bad, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen tonight. On a different note, it's snowing here in PA so it's nice to watch a game on the toasty warm west coast.

Mike, YYZ is indeed the best! Neil Peart is a God!

Local Person, tuba? Yet another hidden talent ;-) lol!

So, who's with me? Bartender, I'll have another!

Raider touchdown!! 2 points.....UGGHHHHH!!! nevermind.......

Cleetus, best wishes for your kitty.

Guitarcake, I've inspired many men to play the triangle. Nice to know I still have that magic spark. lmao!! Congrats on the test, and good luck with your finger. Surgery is cool when you get to watch. I had my foot operated on when I was awake. They had to saw the bone and hammer stuff back together and I didn't feel a thing! They had me strapped down, so I couldn't watch, but I would have liked to. That cocktail they gave me in my IV was lovely. lol! To bad it gave me a migraine after about 2 hours. Pisser that was. Make sure the doc has some Satch playing during the procedure. Fill us in all all the horrid details please. lol!

WEBMASTER, Cyberalien still didn't get his prize?? Whut up wit dat yo?? I'd say some extra sway is in order for his patience!! He's a great guy. He DESERVES his prize :)

The space shuttle Columbia broke up as it descended over Texas Saturday toward a planned landing at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, showering debris across southeastern Texas and into Louisiana.

Police in Nacogdoches, Texas, reported "numerous pieces of debris" both inside the city limits and in Nacogdoches County.

"Information is really sketchy," Det. Greg Sowell said. "We want people to stay away, because some of it could be toxic."

Sowell said officers and city and county employees were being dispatched to stand by the debris until the arrival of FBI and NASA representatives. The debris field is believed to be very large.

Residents as far east as Shreveport, Louisiana, reported seeing and feeling an apparent explosion.

"As we seen [Columbia] coming over, we seen a lot of light and it looked like debris and stuff was coming off the shuttle," Kemp, Texas, resident Benjamin Laster told CNN.

"We seen large masses of pieces coming off from the shuttle as it was coming by," Laster said. Then, "the house kind of shook and we noticed a sonic boom ... and then we seen a big continuous puff of vapor or smoke stream come out and then we noticed a big chunk go over."

Search-and-rescue teams from the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area were alerted and residents were urged to stay away from any possible debris from the shuttle, which may be hazardous, said NASA public affairs officer James Hartfield.

Shuttle commander Rick D. Husband, Pilot William C. McCool, Payload Commander Michael P. Anderson, Mission Specialists David M. Brown, Kalpana Chawla and Laurel Clark and Israel's first astronaut, Ilan Ramon, were on board.

Trutina, I was abducted once - by my sister, and taken to a Metallica concert. Along the way I was forced to drink boxed wine and hold my bladder for over an hour! Once we arrived at our final destination, I witnessed pure frickin' glory as we spent the night thrashing about. The next day...all I had was a t-shirt and muddy shoes as a memory... LOL!!!

Ya Yo, I'm goofy like that when I hear some unexpected Satch too. LOL! It makes me all giddy.

As for the astronauts - as a father of one of the men was being interviewed on the news, he said his son died doing what he loved. May we all be that fortunate.
