RDG - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Matt Lonsberry - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

to the groundhog - HAPPY GROUNDHOGS DAY!!

Darren, is there such a thing as cow bell lessons? lmao!!

edit - Darren, I almost forgot, when fellow Satcher Evbro was having problems with his wrist, JOE told him to rest it and let it heal. An injury will only get worse if you stress it. There's no urgency to learn guitar, and you'll play much better when your healthy. If anybody knows exactly what Joe said, please post it for our injured lad.

JON, very cool pics!! I have a pic of Joe with the NASA sticker on my pc wallpaper now. What a great tribute. I think its so like Joe to take time in his very busy schedule and pay tribute. Makes me love and respect Joe even more (if that's even possible). Also, great catch with Matt's son and his lil' toofer. lol! Cute, cute kid!! The KRON vid was FANTASTIC! Joe & Galen looked like they were freezing! lol! It was so cool how the dog was playing on the beach in the background too. Joe says that Kirk was the most difficult to teach, but made sure to give him props at the same time. I love that! lol! Joe is the best man, hands down!!!

JOE, COME TO PHILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dragonchild, Joe's self titled is my favorite. It's bluesy - as opposed to The Extremist, which will rock your face off. Both fantastic cd's IMO. It depends on what your in the mood for. Check out the songs on each cd and see which ones you know and like better. NOTE would be my third choice.

Whiteghost, dude, it's an honor to get shined on by the Chrome Boy! If you don't like it, ya gotta duck & roll brutha!

Greg M, The Glass Prison is a great song. Misunderstood is also a stand-out. 6DOIT is a great cd :) The whole thing rocks! I was listening to Dance of Eternity (Scenes from a Memory) on the way home from work. Man, there should be a warning lable NOT to operate heavy machinery while listening to that! I was doing 55 mph in a 35 mph zone, and I couldn't keep from banging my steering wheel and hitting those air cymbols!! LOL! Dangerous stuff man!! The drums! The bass! The guitar! The keyboard! Hepp me Jesus, I wuz bout to lose my mind!! lol!

Mr Nick, I have Portnoy's Liquid Drum Theater dvd. He counts it out on there and it's absolutely amazing that he could even imagine those licks!! Totally mind blowing!

Crispin, there's a picture of the setlist posted with the newest pics on the tour page. Check it out :)

Steve Davis, welcome to Satch Utopia! It's a beautiful thing man, a beautiful thing!

Narface, if your having trouble breathing DON'T try to excercise! See a doctor first dude. It sounds kinda serious.

Ovation, still ~ best wishes for your mum-in-law. Duck & roll man, duck & roll! ;-)

r6r, I don't have the coordination (or the equipment) to be a "real" drummer, so I just play one on t.v. lol! Honestly, I must have been a drummer in a past life. lol! Since I was little, the first thing I hear in a song is the drums. The bassier, the better :) Wait, is bassier a real word? I mean like when Mike (for example) plays a deep jungle drum beat. For me, that's the blood in my veins. I love it.

Mr Nick, get the dvd if you can. I highly recommend it! One disk is songs from DT, and the other disk is songs from LTE. He goes through the beats and counts everything out in slow time, then speeds it up to the way it's played in the song. He's a VERY good teacher. He plays The Dance of Eternity, and he totally kills it! He does this super cool cross over thingy that I had to rewind and watch over & over. If you have the cd DT - Live Scenes from NY, you can find it in the song at 3:46. For a week after I seen it I had to show it to everyone who walked in my house! lmao!! It's sick I tell ya! Get the dvd, you'll love it no matter what instrument you play...or don't play :)

Michael Jackson ~ did you see where he was feeding that poor baby with the scarf on his little face? The baby was crying because MJ couldn't get the bottle in his mouth & keep his face covered. Then MJ started shaking his legs like he was going to take off running. I thought he might drop the baby - or at least make the poor lil' dude throw up. It's sad. None of the kids mothers even live with the kids! It's like their just spitting them out for MJ's benifit. I gots ta think they got paid.... I had to turn it off. It just got tooooo wierd.

Take my hand, we're off to Never Never Land

Here in PA, it's snowing.....again! 3" to 5" Sounds like a school delay to me :)

As for the chat - I'm not really sure what everybody was expecting? We submitted our questions early, so why would Joe be answering new questions? Was he? I was never sure if Joe could see what was going on in every room since his banter with the host was in all the Satch chat rooms. Could he see what everyone was writing in every room? His name wasn't on the sidebar until the after chat when the host said "Joe Satriani has entered the room" - then everybody swamped him with questions chasing him from room to room. THAT was the ugly part. The rest of the time I just sat back & read the page & threw in my 2 cents every now and then. I learned some new things I hadn't heard Joe say before, so I thought it was an o.k. chat. The person I feel sorry for is JOE. There's only ONE Joe, and thousands of us. He can't possibly get to all of us. I do think he would like to though, but hey, that's why he has this website.

Noodles & beer! lmao!!!

edit: I did see Joe say Hi JS Clone 1 when he came into my chat room. :)

R6R, lmao! We'll miss you. Come back a.s.a.p.! Good luck.

Happy V.D. everyone. I have to agree, it has become way to commercial. For example, yesterday they had the fire police directing traffic outside the flower shop because it was so full. IMO, if a flower shop is going to triple their prices one week out of the year, why would anybody buy flowers that week? If they said "hey, for one week we're going to triple gas prices" would anybody buy it that week? Of course not. They'd buy it the other 51 weeks of the year. It's the commercialism that makes some ppl. THINK they have to buy it or they're not playing the game right... but it does make a lot of ppl. happy to receive flowers... I say if your going to go out and spend an arm and a leg on flowers, why not just buy your honey a nice little piece of jewelry instead. lol! If you put the jewlery next to the flowers - in a week, which one will still be there? lol! That's just my 2 cents on the subject. I do like flowers, and I do like Valentine's Day, but it's a bit overrated IMO. Whatever floats yer boat I guess :)

YEEAAAAHH! I'm listening to Rush's newest release (Feb. 11th) - The Spirit of Radio "greatest hits 1974- 1987". OMG! 2112 Overture/The Temples of Syrinx just came on and I can barely contain myself! It's only the third song on the cd and it's already improved my mood 100%. We have all the old Rush, but this sounds crystal clear and absolutely killer! I highly recommend this cd to all you Rush fans out there.

Hey! Happy fore-hun-dirt to meee!
