Ovation, thanks for the invite. lmao! "Come to paradise island, full of smiles and happy faces," I guess after doing all that "research" on Orion, everyone is in pissed up paradise. LOL!! I don't like the pictures of the tasting room though. Looks to much like urine samples. lmao! I'll have a nice frosty mug, thank you :)

Clarky, I think you should submit your version of the bunker buster at the next military briefing. They could use some more ideas. lol! It's actually a bomb that goes through a building, then ? ft. underground, then it explodes. Gets rid of all those pesky termites and cack-a-roaches and such :)

Wow, Joe's words about Starry Night....it only takes a second to relive that nightmare. Hearts are still broken, still mending...

"JOE-I saw a quote you gave in this months guitar techniques:

'Starry night is a prayer and a question to God. I was trying to put into music how I was thanking God for the miricle of life, but also asking for an explanation for some of the horrors and tragedies we all experience. The melody I recorded at my home studio two days after the September 11th terrorist attacks on the U.S, one take and a newly broken heart...' "

George Duke came out first. He had a good band too. He was killer on the keys! He had a lot of technical difficulties, to which he added "I'm up here trying to grin and bear it, but it's really pissin' me off!" He put on a good show despite some stuff not working. He was supposed to come out at the end and jam with Clarke, but I guess he figured his equipment took a dump, so why bother. As for Stanley Clarke...OMG!!! He eventually played the upright, or maybe I should say he beat the crap out of it. I've never seen anything like it. He was all over that bass. It was awesome! The best part about his band was that Clarke was on bass, and another guy was on back-up bass. LOL! No guitars! Clarkes bass was a higher pitch, and the other bass was that kick-ass rib shakin' bassy bass. The drummer was fantastic too! I can't remember the names of all the guys in both bands, sorry. He also had 2 keyboard players and a young guy on the violin. He said the guy was from Sweden and fresh out of school. FRESH OUT! The kid was incredible! I HIGHLY recommend seeing George Duke and Stanley Clarke to everyone here. I gotta get to bed. Night all :)

Mike, it worked! The sun is out today :) LOL!!! Thanks for that extra post. lol!

R6R, Clarke was fantastic! Two of the songs he played were School Days and Song to John. The young guy on the violin (fresh out of school) was amazing. They went note for note, just like on the c.d.'s. lol! Clarke was putting some crazy stank on the stand up bass. He was using the top of his fingers like you would see a flamenco player do on both basses. It was mind blowing to say the least. Killer show!

On another note, this was pretty cool over the weekend... http://www.berksjazzfest.com/jazzfestnews/archive.02_03/3.26.03.htm

trutina, I love Carlin, but I gotta tell ya...I found those tubes!!! Driving down I-76 in Philly, BIG silver tubes coming down the side of the mountain right next to the highway. They go from the top of the mountain straight down into the ground. You can almost reach out and touch 'em. Found them a few years ago. Two of them, side by side. So now you know...we have tubeage. Tube one...and tube two. LOL! Another questionable expression...fine and dandy. I'm either fine or dandy, but I'm never both. lmao!!
