Yeah, what Narface said.

:-) It's a bee-u-tee-ful day today.

It was nice watching 7 of the U.S. POW's come home last night. Let's all keep the rest of the troops in our prayers and pray they ALL come home safely.

Hi JBlaze!! Have some crab cakes while your home. lmao! An entire year with no cd's?? Good lord, how did you survive? Have a safe move, and when you get back to FL, have a Satchfest your neighbors won't soon forget. lol! JBLAZE FOR GUITAR GUARD!

Larry, Joe & Stanley Clarke would be very exciting to hear together :)

R6R, babies are the most precious thing on Earth. Make sure your wife makes some recordings for you. Video, audio - whatever she can. That might make your away time a smidge easier. It's tough being away from your family...

Crystal Planet, happy birthday!

OME, nice website.

R6R, when my kids were little my husband would have to go out of town for a week at a time on buisness. I would sit with my daughter and make a chain out of construction paper (one link for every day he was gone). We would take a picture of daddy and put it on a piece of paper that my daughter had drawn a picture on, or had written "welcome home daddy" on. I would attach the paper chain (strips of paper made into interlocking circles) to the bottom of the paper and hang it up where my kids could see it. Every morning my daughter would remove a "link" off the chain. When she got to the last link, daddy would be home that day. Your daughter might be to young to do all that, but kids are smarter than we think. As for forgetting about your wife... not a good idea. LOL! Remember, she's been in "single mum mode" while your gone. The least you gould do is take her for dinner or give her a nice back rub. Good for the both of you ;-)

Clarky, I have no idea what this means - "add another round to the belt feeding the 50 cal Browning.." lmao! Speak English man! LOL!!

R6R, the "for sale" sign is going up in front of my house one day this week, possibly tomorrow. Now imagine all the stuff you have from that one little girl, x it by 2, and add 14 years (well 12 since she's almost 2), and you probably still don't have all the mess we have to move. lmao!! Where does all this stuff come from?!?! At least we're staying in the same area, so it shouldn't be to difficult....I hope....

ANNIE, so sorry to hear about your brother's accident. Thanks to a great sister, he now has all our good vibes coming in his direction to help him heal. Tell the little buckaroo to keep playing all that great music in his head as he recovers. Stay strong and don't forget to take care of yourself.

As for Kirk Hammett - Metallica kicks ass!!

Mr Nick, good jokes :)

migupais, happy 50!

Migupais, nice and Chrismassy! Good job :)

Trutina, I also listen to Merry Axemas 1 & 2 all year round. Why the hell not? LOL!!

Austin, I should be getting 1, 2 To The Bass by Stanley Clarke and Office of Strategic Influence by O.S.I. in the mail sometime this weekend. I'll eventually get the Yardbirds, but these two had to come first :)

I was watching LISF today with my 13 yr. old nephew. He was watching Joe play the Borg part in Borg Sex and was amazed how fast Joe's hands are. He stood up and yelled "Oh my God, that's it!!" I said what's it? He said Joe's left hand looked like THING from the Addams Family! LMAO!!! I think he's right! LOL!!

OMG Joe, that's TOOOOO funny! Man, I can't stop laughing. Joe Mamma! HA! Guess only a JOE can wear that one and get away with it? LOL!! Thanks for taking the mystery out of that one. Love to see that blue!!

McDave, I agree with Mike. Treat him the way you would want to be treated. It's to late for blame. The dude knows he messed up. No need to make him feel any worse. Make him smile and make some good memories. Some ppl. smoke dope &/or cigs their whole life and never get sick. He might have gotten it even if he was a non-smoker. Never know what's in your cards bro? How many of us could scream because our loved ones have gotten sick because of what they eat, inactivity, overworking - whatever. It's not the time to point the finger. It's time to make the best of what time is left. You'll be happy you did.

Trutina said:

"Joe: So when is the Joe Satriani Inaction Figure with Joe Mamma shirt, Trogdor the Burninator Guitar, Potato Head Grip and lawn rake gonna be available for release? "

ha! A lawn rake? lmao!! For those hard to reach areas I guess?

COME ON JOE, LET'S DO IT!! It would be so cool to see JOE SATRIANI (inaction) figures in the stores. We'd ALL buy them! McFarlane Toys could do it! Hell, they have all the other bands. LET'S START A CAMPAIGN! Somebody write the McFarlane company!

Boil some water! Get some blankets! ha! Get the net!!!

alexandrecaetano, the reason Joe's shirt is so funny is because here in the US (and other places I'm sure) we have an expression we use when we want to bust on somebody. Sometimes it's meant to be an insult, and sometimes it's meant to be funny. "Your Momma! or Yo Momma! (Joe Momma)" has been made into jokes and insults for years. JOE can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think his shirt was meant to be a funny pun on his name. Maybe it was Mrs. Satrian's birthday too? lol!

Austin, I know you can explain this better. Your so good at these things. lol!

I think it's time for some Joe Momma jokes. C'mon everybody, give it your best shot. I gotta run, so I'll throw out the lamest one...

Your momma's so fat, when she sits around the house, she sits arrrround the house!

Quito, I can't get Big Baboon (I think it was Wolf who had that as his favorite Satch tune) out of my head, now your giving us Scratch Boogie! lmao! I can't rake it...uh, I mean take it anymore! LOL!!

Bahumit 12, Go for it!! Tell them they'd sell thousands!! Take a picture of Joe too! Somebody give him a link to the pic of Joe with his JOE shirt on playing the flame guitar!! Whoever posted the 67 pics (sorry, forgot the name) a day or 2 ago had good pics. Take one from there.

Mick87, Spaceballs & the Blues Brothers are 2 of my favorite movies too :) LOL on the lighter idea!

mick87, It's been a while since I seen Spaceballs, but I remember all the doubles meanings and puns are hysterical. The Blues Brothers is a classic. I even dig B. Bros. 2000 or whatever the second movie was called. The jam at the end is to cool!

My prized possession - my photographs.

migupais, glad your alright.

Greenday I can listen to. Blink 182 sounds like a bunch of whining to me. Blink is one of my daughters fav bands, so I have to hear them all the time. When I'm cleaning I like to listen to loud, heavy music. Metallica, Godsmack, Anthrax - motivational stuff. lol! I play whatever I'm in the mood for. As long as I have good music I'm a happy camper :)

Trutina, now that you brought up the annoying issue of toothpaste, I'd like to enter my complaint about orange juice. You used to be able to go to the store, walk up to the o.j. section, and pick from one or two kinds. Now there are 72 kinds of friggin o.j. to pick from! Pulp, low pulp, no pulp (my personal fav), calcium, low acid, high acid??, ect.... Then you have the o.j. that's mixed with different fruit juices to make o.j. even MORE exciting. I just want some f*in' juice!!! And while we're at it, ever drink orange juice right AFTER you brush your teeth?? Now there's something special everyone should experience at least once in their lives. lol!

Now pass the cashews!

Just got my new cd - 1, 2, TO THE BASS by Stanley Clarke FEATURING JOE SATRIANI on track #8 - HAIR

Goosebumps people!!! This song has got some serious stank on it! lol! You can hear Joe's guitar throughout the song, the first bass note twang and Joe's trademark sound come in at the same time. GOOSEBUMPS!! Stanley sings for a bit, then Joe's solo is brought on by Stanley saying "C'mon Joe!", then Joe let's loose and tears it UP! A woman with a kickass soulful voice sings the second half of the song. Unfortunately her name isn't on the credits. DO YOU KNOW WHO SHE IS JOE??

Cool cd!

MEGABOYD, you wanted to know - BUY IT!

edit: PS, Song #9 is a tune called TOUCH. Stanley played this when we seen him in March. He plays it on the upright like a man possessed! If anybody has the chance to see him on tour, GO!!

This is a great cd, although if you don't like this kind of music, you might not think so.

McDave, smoov like butta baby! lol!!

R6R, Squidward - it just rolls off the tongue. lmao!!! As for Nascar, I can sleep like a rock every Sunday during a race. My husband and I love to watch the race, but by lap 50, I'm looking for a place to curl up and close my eyes. LOL!! I should tape it so when I have trouble sleeping I can just pop in a tape. lol! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Austin, o.j. & toothpaste a cool taste? You obviously haven't tryed it lately. lmao!!! ECK!!!

PhryDom, Cow & Chicken are the best by far!! I used to get to watch it every morning with my son before he went to school, but now I don't know when it's on. I don't remember the name of the cartoon we watch now. Two old people and that STUPID DOG! lol!! Cowardly something or other? Anybody know?

JOE, did you get to jam with Stanley Clarke in the studio, or did you just add your part around his track? He's such a great bass player. Man, you're blessed to get to play with all these great musicians - and they're blessed to get to play with you :) Great work Joe!!

Austin, sorry, I didn't see what face you were making when you wrote that. LOL! I thought you were some sort of freak who liked that kind of thing. lol!! Yummy, toothpaste and orange juice! lmao!!! eeeuuuwwww! I don't drink Mt. Dew, so the only ingredients I know that are in it is caffeine. lol!

PhryDom, Mr Nopants (or whatever his name is) is probably one of my favorite characters on t.v.! I love the way he sings something, then screams the next sentence. lmao!!! I laugh more than my kids when I watch that. lol! Yep, that's the dogs name - Courage. I don't know about you, but the holes in his teeth always make me cringe. lol!

Mike, I'll check that out. We have Clarke's new cd 1, 2, to the Bass, School Days, Journey to Love, and Rite of Strings (I think that's all we have?). I've been listening to JtL & SD for years. My husband has been a fan forever. He seen the Rite of Strings tour, and to this day, when the mention of it comes up he still gets speachless. lol! No words to describe that show. He says it was beyond awesome. lol! He went with his bud, kinda like a guys night out, and I stayed home with the youngin's. That's one show I shouldn't have missed, but I was more into heavy rock at the time. My bad. lol!

HI JOE!

p.s. - Mr Junkpile, I have you beat. I started smoking when I was 12, quit when I was almost 19 (felt like I had elephants standing on my chest). I haven't picked up a cigarette in 20 years :) Go me!!!

Sharon, I agree. I know so many ppl. in their 30's & 40's who have that death rattle in their chest when they laugh from smoking since they were kids. It's pretty gross. Quitting is one of the best things I've ever done.

Man, I'm tired. I'll catch up with the rest of these posts tomorrow...errr, later today....

McDave, after I read your post yesterday we had some errands to run. We got in the car and I got out the SRV cd and started skipping tracks to R.P. at #8. I have 2 SRV cd's in the car because he's great to drive to. I actually took out one SRV disk and put in another that had R.P. on it. LOL! We listened to it, then my daughter was buggin' to put in Aerosmith, so I did. Can't argue when your kids want to listen to Aerosmith. LOL!!

Another beautiful Sunday :)
