Holy geez man, the wind is WICKED today!! Gusts up to 32 mph, but it feels way stronger than that. It damn near blew my car off the highway a few times. lol! Woohoo! Hold on to your knickers folks! R6R, very good post about drug use. Sooo many people abuse drugs and think they're fine because, after all, their doctor wrote the prescription, right? They're not "drug" users. No way! Just because they take a pill to wake up and one to go to sleep, and one to calm down, and one to speed up - hey, it's all by the hand of the doctor, right. Perfectly legal. Ask Elvis, he'll agree. Oh wait, he's dead. Nevermind. Abuse is abuse. Some people get a bad rap, and others slip on through unnoticed. What's the difference between a preppy housewife, or a buisness man, or a rock guitarist, or actor who all died of a drug overdose? The difference is THE PRESS! The press makes it into whatever they want, and the public deems it as the "truth". Anyways, I agree totally agree with your post. Just thought I'd add my .02, which turned into about .03 1/2. I'll shut up now...

Crushingday, Mike, ~ You have to stay in stealth mode during these times. I snuck down into the rec room and scared the shit out of him. He didn't know I was there (the washer & dryer are down there - good excuse, eh?) and when he seen me he sat up straight. Needless to say, I did the laundry nice & slow while they watched the end of a Pee Wee Herman DVD. Then I walked over and put in my Rob Zombie DVD to change the whole "snuggle & watch a movie" mode. Gotta let the bruthas know I'm not a Barry Manilow warm & fuzzy oblivious kinda gal. I'm a rock & roll touch my daughter get your face broke kinda gal :) lol! Rock on dude...just not with my kid. lol!
Mike, I have a set of picks something like that. My husband got them for me for Christmas one year. They're nice to have around. Don't know if it's the exact same set though - and I'm not running down in thr rec room to find out. lol! I'll be running up to bed now. ugh! Monday already...

Graham, it was Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Funniest movie ever. At this age ANYTHING on t.v. is a reason to snuggle! The guy never seen it before, but my daughter grew up watching it. We've seen it a hundred times and still laugh all the way through. Her boyfriend thought we were nuts...which is good...cause we are...

Lyz, NEVER sell!! I would never sell any of my music memorabilia either. I would give it away if I felt compelled and I knew the person would appreciate it as much as I did and NOT turn and sell it for profit - but I would never sell my stuff. Especially Satch or Metallica stuff!! Nooooo! (not that I have any cool Metallica stuff, but if I did...) lol!

Go to http://www.santana.com/frameset.html (sorry, I'm link impaired) and check out Santana's discography. Click on Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen in the first column and crank up your speakers. Man!! I loved that song when I was a kid and I still love it. His guitar is so sweet in that tune. I'm not a huge Santana fan, but I do love that song. Hell yeah!

Man, I'm so pissed! That's angry pissed, not liquered up pissed. I just went to Best Buy and Circuit City looking for Joe's cd & DVD & neither place had them. I waited for this guy to "check in the back" for over a half an hour. All he could tell me was that they have about 80 boxes to unpack. What! Let's get crackin there buddy! My Satch cd is sitting in there somewhere! They only have 7 in stock, and he said it might take them a friggin' week to get to them. GRRRR! To piss me off even more, he kept pronouncing Satriani wrong on his walkie-talkie thing to the guy in the back. HOW F'IN HARD IS IT!!! They have no problem pronouncing any other name. The girl at Circuit City just looked at me and said "uh, I didn't see it", then flipped through 2 pages in a book and told me they don't have it. I checked the shelves where it should have been at both places. No good. I remember I had to get a guy to get C.P. out of the "back" at Best Buy the day it came out. I don't usually get so angry when stuff like this happens, and I wasn't angry towards either salesperson, but I hate that they know all the pop crap and look at me like I'm an ALIEN when I ask for Joe Satriani. lol! Alien...Joe Satriani...that was just dumb. LOL!!! O.k., I got that off my chest. I feel better. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Clarky, it's true. Many adults are into WWE (NOT me). My sister is a body builder and her idols are the WWE wrestlers. eck! Her favorite is Joanie Lauer (formerly know as Chyna). Her family loves to watch wrestling and keep up with all the bull that goes along with it. The difference between the "regular" WWE fan & my sister & her family is that they are interested in the body building & the hard work that goes into getting the body in tip-top shape. She also knows that it IS a soap opera like story that goes along with the WWE. She doesn't really believe it's all "true life", but they love it anyway. Yep, sad but true.

juju, good taste :) The self titled album is also my favorite. I guess that's the cd that hooked me hard to be a Satriani fan. No time to list my favs from each cd. I'm already 7 pages behind. Geez man, ya blink and your behind a bunch of pages just that quick. lol!
Christina Aguilera is sooo lame. She's like a chameleon trying to blend into whatever is selling. Her videos are sooo bad IMO. She does have a good voice, if you like that sort of thing, but it's just pure cheese.

wow, Michael Jackson in handcuffs walking into the Santa Barbra (sp?) jail at this very moment. THAT'S SOOOO MUCH IMORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ANYONE WAS WATCHING ON T.V. Thanks for interrupting ELLEN (Ellen Degeneras) and showing the same clip over & over again. NOT! Can I ask the Satch fans here - does anybody really give a flying f*ck about exactly HOW and WHEN he shows up at the jail? I don't!! GRRRRR! Sadly, the press will be milking this for weeks. If he did it, he needs to go to jail. If he didn't, man, what a horrible accusation.

I drove over to Best Buy tonight after work at 9:30 for Joe's Anthology cd. Unlike Tuesday (new release day) the shelves were FULL! I made a bee-line to Joe's section AND THERE IT WAS staring me right in the face! I laughed and said "yeah!" outloud. lmao!! That cover is so cool! lol! I had a huge smile on my face walking around the store. They didn't have Joe's DVD, so I walked over & found D.T.'s new cd and made my way to the register. I was looking for the guy who was mispronouncing Joe's name on Tuesday to the guy in the back over his walkie-talkie. I was going to say "THIS is Joe SAT-TREE-AH-NI and then do a Jim Carry "can ya feel that, huh?" dance as I hold the cd in his face...buuuut he wasn't there. lmao! j/k, but I can think it ;-) I got in my car & ripped open Joe's cd smiling ear to ear. lol! I put in disk 2 to hear Slick & The Eight Steps, but had to listen to a bit of Rasp. Jam first. I smiled the whole way home and damn near thought I would blow my speakers :) lol! Ahhh, good stuff man!! I haven't heard either song fully until tonight. I can't wait to crank it up again tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to look at the cd booklet yet, and I haven't taken the plastic off the D.T. cd yet either (had to watch ER) lol!

Clarky, addictive is right. We're about ready to throw down an intervention. lol! j/k My sis's trainer is fierce (insert asshole here). She's going to her second competition in May and she's already bulked up and looking like she could kick my daddy's ass. lol! Her first comp. was in Sept. '02. Then she was a lightweight. Now she's bulking up for middleweight. Man, what a difference. Before she looked like a very fit person. Now she looks, um...big. lol! Kinda like a triangle. Big at the top, little waist, nice legs. By the time her show comes up she'll be a very big little girl. I'm not crazy about her lifestyle, but that's her biz. Muscular is good, but bulk is bulk. knowhatimean? Glad to see you got yourself going in the right direction too.
