Sharif, we had water coming in from where both rain spouts backed up. With all the rain/snow/freezing rain and a little bit of sleet sprinkled in, it didn't take long for all the water in the gutter (street) to freeze solid - therefore, the water from the rain spouts had nowhere to go but to back up and run over top of the the underground pipe (which the rain spout sits in) and TOTALLY SATCHURATED the foundation at those 2 spots. It probably never happened before, but who knows. Hopefully it will never happen again. I think it was a freak thing. Lots of people had flooding waaaay worse than we did. I'm very grateful it wasn't worse. My husband pulled the rain spouts away from the house and fed them into long PVC pipes to get the water away from the house. The actual problem is fixed for now, and no more water has come in since yesterday afternoon. If we have a chance to dry out a bit, we should be o.k. Having a house that was built over a stream is crazy! I'd have a bunch of sump pumps too! lol! We don't have any here because this kind of thing "never" happens. lol!

Mikey, Dave's hands hurt worse than mine! Well, minus the blisters. He knows to wear gloves, but I couldn't grip the chopper right, so I did it bare-handed. It's like we both lost the use of our thumb muscles. LOL!! Our hands and forearms are hurtin'! He tryed to sign his name earlier and could hardly do it. I couldn't even take the lid off a pen. lmao!! We're like a couple of gimp-ass 90 year olds! lol! (no offence to any 90 year olds here). lol! Ahhh, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. LOL!!

An Olympic skater skating to cool music like Bonzo's Montreux and Satriani's music - now THAT is something to watch!!

Joeman9, I was just repeating what Narface said in the post above mine :)

"I don't mind tapping your foot or nodding your head with the beat, but to jump up and down, shove and push, and all the excessive body contacts is just not my thing."

I thought it was funny, and I agree with his statement. When I go to a show, I want to watch the show, not watch the crowd for flying limbs and excessive body contact. lmao!! I have to admit, I have been known to jump up and down, and play wicked air drums, so standing still is not an option - however, I don't bang into people or obstruct their view.

mari, Champagne? lol! Sorry - Satch pun there. I don't drink much champagne, but I could learn. lmao! I'm a member of the Mum club. Twice! lol! What exactly is the Mumm club? lol!

SupaaDave, woohoo! Congrats to you too! It's hard to quit, so you should be very proud of yourself.

julie, I agree! That "I dont want to be your boyfriend anymore" line dropped my jaw too. lmao! I really hope Bil was talking fast so she didn't have to much time to react. ha! ha! I get goosebumps thinking about how wonderful the next line must have sounded. How gad damn sweet is that!?!?!! GOOSEBUMPS i tell ya! lmao!!

mick, doesn't that astronaut suit get hot with all those Viking furs over it on a tropical island? You prolly pick up a good stink before you even get to the models... lmao!! pooched indeed!

So what does everyone think of the Grammy show this year. I'm diggin' the way they've blended bands this year. I muted it during Cristina Hagulairas song, but I still had to change the channel. I couldn't even stand to watch her. I missed Celine too :) Awww hey, there's OZZY!! Ahh, God Bless him! He and Sharon just presented an award to Warren Zevon's son Jacob for Warrens last cd. Very cool!

dck, Prince did rock, didn't he! lol! I love to watch him perform. He's a cool little mofo and he kicks ass on guitar IMO. lol! I thought Beyonce was pretty good in that act - kinda reminded me of Tina Turner back in the day, but then she got to much airtime after that. I thought Sting & Sean Paul were pretty cool doing Roxanne. I love throwing a Jamaican vibe into music. Yah mon, das coo now. lol! Ozzy did look pretty good. He looked happy & clear-minded. I hope he has a 100% recovery, and they put the quack doctor who had him taking all those meds before his crash out of buisness.

Happy Monday peepole!

julie, when I get bored listening to the same music, I dig into "the archives" lol! I dig out some of the old stuff like Salt & Pepa - Very Necessary (the only rap cd I own lol!), or some blues, or even go for some Motley Crue or Skid Row from back in the day. I also like to listen to Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham - depends on my mood and what I'm doing while I'm listening to the music.

Davey, Davey, Davey, you silly little man. I hope you never say what you just said to a woman standing in hitting/throwing distance of you, because you would sooooo get whooped upside your head - "unless you're something like 13 years old you should be used to it by now" You want to see aggression, anger, and total devastation - I dare you to say that face to face to a woman with PMS. You'd wind up with your dick in the dirt quicker than you could say "wha?" Unless you've dealt with the BEAST every month, you have nothing to say on how a woman should feel, how much pain and discomfort she's in, and how much her hormones are fluxuating. The day you can give birth to another human being is the day I take back everything I just said. I really don't want this to be a whole debate, but it was a very chauvinistic thing to say. If I kicked you in the nuts for 5 days a month every month, would you be use to it after a couple of years? I don't think so. Like I said, I do see your point about anger and aggression on the forum, but I do have a problem with how you said it. Having PMS does NOT give a woman the right to jump on anybody any time she feels like it. You could have left it at that.

Geez man, and I was trying so hard to stay out of the negativity.

MIkey, sorry to hear about your sisters endo. Man, that really sucks. I can't even imagine how bad that must hurt. I used to work with a girl who had endo. She had surgery and still had pain after that. At first, she would have severe stabbing pain every month, but when she would go to the doctor, or should I say by the time they could get her in, she could never remember the exact spot where it hurt. Since I had to work with her everyday, I got the idea to mark the spot with a permanent marker on her abdomen where most of the pain was coming from (X marks the spot) the next time she had the pain. When she finally got in to see the doctor, the marker was still there, and he could make a better diagnosis. He said as funny as it was, it was one of the best ideas he's ever seen. Needless to say, that doctor later delivered my son :)

Somebody said something about DT's Honor Thy Father - that's one kick-ass song! I love it! I just listened to that cd today. Killer stuff!

mari, Thanks so much for the offer. The only time I've ever seen Aerosmith was at Hershey Stadium with Jackyl. I think it was the Get A Grip tour? (sorry, it's late, I'm tired). The sound was good, but we could barely see the stage. At the Hershey arena, the stage view wasn't to bad, but the seats are tiny (I'm 5'4 and my knees hit the seat in front of me) and the sound was the worse we've ever heard. Since it's a hockey rink, the sound just bounced off the walls. There was like a 30 second delay from Dave Mustaine's mouth to my ears. It was terrible. I try to stay away from Hershey - although it's fairly close by and a better drive than Philly. I'm saving my money to see Godsmack/Metallica, Dream Theater, and possibly Joe all in April (well, hopefully Joe in the spring sometime) That just might be my concert $$ till the fall. Maybe we could meet up at one of those shows :)

jazzer, sorry to hear about your wife. I feel for her man. I don't even know that pain, and I can't imagine whet she must go through. It's great she has a husband as loving and caring as you.

MikesB, yes I saw Joan trying to talk to BH. I was going to post something about it this afternoon, but I got busy. She asked Bootsy why he was wearing the same thing as last year, then after he showed her his smoov threads were brand spankin', she apologized. lol! When they left, she said something to BH like "it was wonderful talking to you" or something like that. I know you guys like him, but the dude is just flat out wierd! LOL!!

Stripes is a classic movie!

Let's all hold hands and sing songs about brotherly love and cheap meaningless sex.

Anybody know a song like that? lmao!!! Oh, I got one - "If ya can't be with the one you love, love the one your with". Who sings that one? C.S.N. and maybe Y.??

Man, I AM tired! lol!

Mikey/dck - "If I kicked you in the nuts for 5 days a month every month, would you be use to it after a couple of years?" Well, would you? lmao!! There's really no way to describe cramps without mentioning about 15 symptoms, so I figured a good kick in the nads might equal our pain, but it would have to be repeated every 4 to 6 hours. That's how long it takes for the cramp meds to wear off & the pain to come back again. lmao - HARD!!! You'd also have to wear the next size smaller pants (to seem like you're retaining water/bloating - everything gets tight), and we'd somehow have to make your boobs swell and hurt. I think some nice titty twisters are in order. Any of you guys wanna step up? ROTF!!! Who wants to be a girl? lol!! j/k I know most guys understand and are sympathetic, but it really burns my ass when I hear flippant remarks about a serious issue someone has never experienced before. I can't even find an analogy to compare the red tide to anything a guy goes through. lol! A kick in the nuts was all I had. lmao!! I'm sure Erma Bombeck has something written about it in one of her books! lol! I know Mikey understands - he's the only guy in his house! lol! God Bless ya brutha! Geez man, how'd we get on this subject?? LOL!!

YaYo, lol! A pms guitar would have to be able to take more of a beating than Clarky gives his guitars. I'd say it would also have to smell like lavendar oil (to relax us) and have a heated body to use as a belly warmer to ease cramps. LMAO! Wonder if prs could make one like that? lol!

julie, feel free to use my post in future "Tales of the Beast" stories with your friends. LOL!

Austin, will you ever understand Shelspeak? lol! Aerosmith and Jackyl were at the Hershey Stadium for the GAG tour. Megadeth was at the Hershey Arena - possible the Criptic Writings tour (with COC, which I didn't mention in my previous post). I was trying to get the point across that both of the venues in Hershey kinda suck, and those were the shows I had seen at each of them. Hey, my husband has known me for 20 years and he still gives me the same look your giving the screen now. lmao!! Oh, and the only thing that's flawed with my kick in the nuts theory was that I left out wearing steel-tips ;-) Shelspeak - the gift of writing fragmented thoughts that only I can understand - and I'm sooo good at it :)

Davey, you made your statement, I made mine. Ain't no big thang. Don't get that upset because one person disagreed with what you said. Your right, you do have an opinion. You stated yours. I stated mine. So it's over. Today's a new day. Yesterday was yesterday. Clog on brutha.

The Attitude Song - great pick of the day jazzer!! lol!

2 Ton, I don't know that song, but I do know this one ~~~

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad, Other things just make you swear and curse, When you're chewing your life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle, And this'll help things turn out for the best, And..... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the light side of life. [whistling] If life seems jolly rotten, There's something you've forgotten, And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps, Don't be silly chumps. Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing. And... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the right side of life, [whistling] For life is quite absurd And death's the final word. You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin. Give the audience a grin. Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow. So,... Always look on the bright side of death, [whistling] Just before you draw your terminal breath. [whistling] Life's a piece of shit, When you look at it. Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true. You'll see it's all a show. Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And... Always look on the bright side of life. [whistling] Always look on the right side of life. [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling] Always look on the bright side of life! [whistling]

Mikey, it's a shame that in this day and age, the only "cure" is a hysterectomy. You get rid on one set of symptoms, only to have another handful of different ones handed to you. I hope she has luck and gets pregnant again. It's a shame really. Sometimes the people who want children the most have the hardest time having them, and the people who want them the least (or deserve them the least) get pregnant if the wind blows in the wrong direction. God works in mysterious ways, but everything is for a reason - as messed up as it seems sometimes. I agree with your wife, and I've said that before myself. lol! I know there's a way for guys to see what it feels like to carry the weight of a pregnancy with the 'pregnancy belly' suits they have. They're great! A guy is supposed to wear one for 24 hours to see how hard it is to do simple things like sit, put your shoes on, stand up, sleep - all with a big weighted belly in front of you. Most men are begging for mercy after a few hours. lol! There's no way to simulate what giving birth feels like, so guys will never know. If you've been in the delivery room and have seen a baby born first hand, you realize how hard it is. The greatest thing about it is that it's all worth it in the end when you have those gunky little eyes staring up at you from this tiny little being you've created. lol! Of course, 15 years later you're grounding that incredible little being you've created for all the bad stuff we always swore our little bundles of joy would never do. LMAO!!!

2 Ton, Thanks. Those kind words go a long way :-)

Julie, 6-10

I can't wait to get these 2 new G3 goodies! I'm getting excited! Joe was so awesome, as was Steve and Yngwie. This cd & DVD will bring back a lot of good memories!

Clarky, I think I'll use my "get out of jail free" card now. Cletis got that weird look in his eye...

Delfino, whoa man! So sorry to hear about your mom. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of cancer does she have. If you'd rather not talk about it, that's o.k., but if at any time you need to get things off your chest, T2J is here for you. We won't be able to solve your problems, but at least you'll be able to get things off your chest. God Bless.

Fretslayer, Megadeth ~~ two of my all time favorite cd's - Youthanasia and Countdown To Extinction. Train Of Consequence kicks my butt every single time! I have to listen to that tomorrow and crank it hard! lol!

The Farting Gnome, are you telling us you're a gassy short guy with a pointy hat? Just wondering? lol! ;-)

Joeman9, that's a killer cd, isn't it! Crunchy, yet satisfying.

Mikey, anytime :) Love the birth stories. lol! I think I would have to sit down if I saw a c-section too! LOL!

Joeman, here's my fav part of Honor Thy Father - The first time I heard it, I was like "no shit! LaBrie just pulled the words right from my gut" With the heavy crunching riff behind it, it seriously kicked my butt! I played it for my sister, and she said "I gotta have that!" lol!

On and on and on and on it goes And with every passing day true colors show

How can you ever sleep a wink at night Pretending that everything is alright And have the balls to blame this mess on me

Never in my life have I seen someone Oblivious to the damage he has done You're the rotted root in the family tree

Good stuff!!

Sharif, I haven't listened to that one in a while. I can't even remember what's on it. Maybe I'll play that tomorrow too. Megadeth Wednesday!! lol!

Mikey, a Fjui Film moment? Is that a distant cousin to Fuji Film?? LMAO!! I always prefer Fuji to Kodak anyway! lol!

Oh, I changed the lyrics to my scream at random nursery rhyme . I went from yelling "I'm a little tea pot" to the more Christmasy "I'm a little tree top" to the slightly insane "I'm a little pee spot". Just yell it at random times when nobody is expecting it. It makes people wonder, which is never a bad thing :) Always good to keep 'em guessing. lol! I am one wacky broad! lmao!!! Feel free to add your lyrics to mine! LOL!!

Joeman9, those words are a little hard to figure out. I can hear some parts, but some are kind of layered under the music (or maybe I'm grooving to the music to much to listen to the words?) lol!

Mikey, does Fujidak have a green box with a yellow canister of film inside? lol! I LOVE looking at underwater photos. I got my daughter an underwater disposable camera last year, and the pictures of her friends holding their breath with their cheeks all puffed out while posing for pics underwater are hysterical! (is that sentence long enough?) lol! Oh yeah, here's a song you should remember - Conjunction junction what's your function... lol!

Listening to Megadeth at the moment, I decided to go to www.Megadeth.com to see if there was any new news. From what Dave says, it doesn't look like Megadeth will be getting back together for the new album. Damn! That was one hell of a group :( Anyways, here's what Dave says about his arm injury ~

"Arm Injury My arm got injured when I fell asleep on it January 7th, 2002, not from the false reports that state anything to the contrary, and I was told that I would not gain full use of my arm ever again; that I would be lucky if I even got 80%.

Well, through a lot of physical therapy, and a lot of the prayer that everyone seems to be mocking me for, I am completely healed and playing better than before I got hurt, because I had to relearn to play. "

~Sometimes, and I know from my own personal experience, a person really needs to get their ass seriously kicked by life before they find out how to look to the sky...
