Mikey defender of Dr Vai, just checked cduniverse for the Vertu cd - it's on backorder since 10/16/03, so no luck getting it from there. I'd like to hear some clips from it. Guess I'll have to check some other sites when I have time.

Zenfish, Stanley Clarke knows talent when he hears it. He's had a long career, and has played with a LOT of great players. Everyone should know about Stanley Clarke! I recently bought his cd "The Bass-ic Collection". I HIGHLY recommend it! I'm going to throw it in the cd player right now as a matter of fact. Fantastic music!

Trutina, being sick can be so frustrating. Just try to take it easy and make sure you tell your honey how much you love her. Take strength in knowing that all your friends here are lovin' ya and always sending good vibes your way. Go out and buy a few of your favorite comedies. When life starts to suck, just lay down and throw in something that will make you laugh and forget about everything for a while.

Hmm, as for the most underrated guitarist - Brad is a great pick. I said before about one of the underrated drummers being Mitch Mitchell, and now Joe will actually share the stage with him. I can't even put into words what seeing a show like that would mean to me. I really, REALLY hope they make a DVD from this Hendrix Tribute gig.

Tastey, you have to keep in mind that zach has his heart wrapped up in this trem thing he's made (forgive me, I don't really know what it is). I'm sure his anger was from his hurt feelings that Joe didn't comment on/use his product. Joe never made any promises. This is how "the buisness" goes. I think that from the feedback I've read on t2j, zach has a good thing going with his trem and should keep going with it. It's just that Joe has no need for it at this time.

edit:

Good thing the chat at 8:00 tonight isn't going to interfere with My Big Fat Obnoxious Wedding! lol!

The chat starts in a few minutes. I think I might skip it. The last big public chat with Joe (I forget who hosted it, not the chat from the Satriani chat room) was total chaos. Anybody remember that one? People chasing him from room to room instead of staying in one room and taking a turn. I'll just read the transcripts when it's over. Besides, I was lucky enough to chat with him the other day, so somebody else can have my spot. Also, it's unfair that it's only for the US and over 18. That bums me out. I'll read about it in the funny papers.

HAVE FUN PEOPLE!

LOVE YA JOE!

UF Dean, thanks so much for the transcript! It was very thoughtful of you to post it...and so fast!

Tomorrow is Feb. 24th ~ RELEASE DAY!!

I hope Sony has sent the cd's and DVD's in the mail already so we get them tomorrow, but I have the feeling they didn't. We shall see :)

Graham, special features? Do you mean the "more music, less backstage" part that Joe talked about, or something else. It's only 7:45 in the morning. My brain is sleeping.

Austin, yep, that's the one. lol!

Awww man! The Sony site says that my order wasn't even shipped yet! Friggin' wankers! Guess that means I won't be holding the mail carrier upsidedown by his ankles threatening him to go back and find my Satch cd & DVD. Ahh well, tomorrow's another day.

It's snowing again. It looks beautiful outside :)

R6R, good idea! If I find anything I'll split it with ya ;-)

And by the by, your gonna love the Vai DVD. What's the friggin' hold up with that thing over there anyway? It's ridiculous! Somebody should have asked Steve that in the chat last night.

Templar, no I've never been to Australia. I've just recently learned how big the spiders are there. lol! It's been so long I've forgotten what we were talking about. Stop by more often :)

Hello Zenfish!

slanshroom, It was pretty funny. Joe has a great sense of humor too, so I knew he wouldn't be offended. lol!

DCK, yeah, so you can tap with it, but can you use it as a slide? lol!

Cube in a toilet...err, that's one place my mind doesn't need to go. LOL!

mari, I guess I'll be seeing you there :) I was on the TM site at 10 a.m. & I got four tix, but I'm so pissed about the way things went down. Ordered 4 tickets, they put us in row M? grrrr! I went back in a few minutes later, and the rows got farther away from the stage. Then I went in to see where I would be if I would have ordered only 2. Man, I would have gotten 4th f'in row! Can somebody tell me why 4 tickets get shit, but 2 tickets get prime seats? I'll never ask anyone to go to a show with us again unless it's GA, and I grab my crotch at DT and their management for having their "rape the fans by taking all their money for the promise of what they should get for FREE" club. That's the biggest rip-off of fans I've ever seen. I've lost a lot of respect for DT, just as I did for Metallica and their MetClub. Pay us more money and we'll pretend you're our friends. Bullshit! Another reason to love musicians like Joe Satriani. He let's you WIN B.S. passes, and half the time you can meet him FOR FREE outside the venue. It don't cost $250.00 per ticket to be in the first 6 rows, get a t-shirt, and autograph, backstage passes, and a whoopti-doo laminant at a Satriani show, nor should it cost that at any other! I still don't understand why 4 tix got row M (at 10 a.m. sharp!), and at 10:15, 2 tix come up in row 4? There was no way I was going to put 2 more tix on my CC either, plus I already invited another couple to go with us. Sorry for the rant, but it pisses me off. It will be a great show I'm sure, and I still love their music, but their system of ticket sales sucks ass. We'll have to talk when it gets closer to showtime so we can meet up.

Sammy, we got about 2 inches, but it didn't lay in the streets or make things slippery. That's the kind of snow I like :) lol!

SOTD, You've Lost That Loving Feeling ~~ lmao!

DCK, add music to that mirrored loo and it will surely be the #1 attraction in London, or the doggies danglies as they say. Just wait till they see WHAT is playing the guitar! lmao!! Anyway, it gives a whole new meaning to "whammy bar!" lol!

Austin, no way could that push it all the way back to the 31st row by the start of ticket sales, although it is a good explanation, and I feel your sympathy. lol!

I heard an ad for a hockey game on a Philly radio station today. It said something about Philly beating the "UCK" out the the Cannucks (sp?) I thought it was funny as hell! LOL!

Boyd, I see you were wearing your smokey jazz eyes for that show.... lol! Since I haven't told you lately, you suck! lol! ;-) As for the cold, c'monnnnn, the snow is melting. Don't be such a wussy boy. Besides, it's supposed to hit 50 degrees this weekend, so you could wear your speedo!

TheBob, I'm that good that I can kick you out of the chat in my sleep? Wow! That I did not know. lol!

Templar, spiders make me use lots of foul language. lol! ECK! We got a bit of snow yesterday. Maybe 2 inches, but since the temps were in the 40's a few days before that, the snow didn't make a mess of things.

Austin, that still doesn't make me feel any better. lol! No reason (IMO) for the 31st row at 10 a.m. I agree with your post, but the outcome still sucks.

ethn, a YNG-O-METER? lmao!!! I would have loved to see that! Joe called him ING in the chat. lmao!

Clarky, whoa! I didn't know you were getting flaming emails! That news took me off guard. I can't get over how some people are such incredible cowards as to write under anonymous names. I say, if you can't say it under your own name, then it shouldn't be said at all. F'in wankers! The whole lot of 'em aren't worth the room they take up on this planet. ha! Can ya tell I don't dig that behavior? lol! I ain't down wit it, yo. lol!

Mikey, let's just say I don't think they're giving all that club money to charity. LOL!! I'm looking forward to the show.

ares87, rebeljt ~ Check the sony website. Go to the music shop, and click on "account". All mine says is "In Progress" whatever that means. I haven't received an email saying it was shipped either. Still waiting. If it's a 2/24 release date, they should have had it at out doors yesterday! SONY, YOUR FIRED!

My mailman is a quick little bugger. I keep missing him. I'll never get his wallet that way...

Clarky, I'm glad you enjoyed it. lol! Insanity at it's finest.

ares87, mine also says 0 shipped. I ordered mine on 1/17. At least you got some info on why they're delayed. Thanks. We should have them by the end of the week *fingers crossed*

Where is JBlaze anyway? It's been a long time.

Can't wait to hear what The Souls Of Distortion and Gnaahh sound like. The titles sound heavy to me. Joe said this cd is bluesy & rock, but mostly rock. Maybe one of these songs are the 10 minute jam Joe mentioned?

Cool news Joe. I'll try to listen a bit before I go to work. It must be a dream come true DJing nothing but Hendrix tunes. Here's the ad from The Bone site ~

Hey Momma, Joe Satriani's On The Bone Thursday at Noon, it's a special Celebrity edition of Hey Momma I'm On the Bone with Joe Satriani joining the Weedman. Plus Paul Rodgers will call in the 2 o'clock hour and Neil Schon will be live in the Bone Studio in the 3 o'clock hour.

Trutina, Python is the best. lol! Get Robin Williams Live on Broadway. Funny stuff! Carlin is always good too.

mari, thanks for sharing your story. I feel a little better than I did on Saturday. lol! Wow, you started going to concerts young. In June '77 I was almost 13 and I was just starting to get into bands like Frampton & Skynyrd. Wish I would have had somebody to take me to shows. We had a lot of great albums though, so we had the audio, just not the visual. lol! I think my first concert was Jackson Browne when I was 18.

Austin, Joe said it would be bluesy and rock, but more rock. Two vocal songs, and a 10 minute jam. I said "crunchy, yet satisfying" after he told us what it consisted of :) Just what I wanted! lol!

Neil, I had a harder time with the bigger club, but I finally scored 820.1 :)

Bil, it's from 2002, so there might be a newer one out. Live On Broadway is worth having. I rented it, thought it was the funniest thing ever, and went out and bought it right away. It starts out a little slow, but after Robin warms up a bit, the gloves are off. lol! I haven't watched it for a while. Maybe I'll play it today while waiting for my mailman to bring Joe's cd & DVD. Another good movie - Animal House.

I love it when you hit the penguin and he kinda slowly bounces into a land mine and flies up in the air, only to land on another, and another, and another. lmao! The way the blood drips/puddles in the snow makes it that much funnier. This is sick! Funny as hell, but sick! I love it! LOL!

edit ~ the Sony site finally says "SHIPPED" for both the cd & DVD. FINALLY!!!! You guys might want to check your accounts and see if your's was shipped.
