mari, Robin Williams came up with chia pet. lol! He's one funny mofo! Nope, I didn't get any info on the tickets. I'm not even really excited to go (yet). I'm still in the pissed off/bummed out stage.

Julie, "... I HATE girl directions.." lmao! The one habit I can't seem to break is to say "this way" for a right, and "that way" for a left. Part of the language of ShelSpeak I guess? lol!

Julie, we've already gotten directions where the guy told us to turn at the Martin's old barn ~ this being in a country setting with plenty of friggin' barns to choose from. lol! I hate when people ask me directions, especially if there are a lot of turns. Sometimes I just say "ya can't get there from here" and direct them to someone else for directions. Believe me, sometimes they're better off with no directions than my girl directions. LOL!

Mikey, Joe has more P.R. reps than he knows. lol! I hook him up every time I go into a music store. lol!

njbeast, Z.Z. is not Joe the second ~ He's Z.Z. The FIRST!! lol!

Ben E, I'm right handed, so THIS WAY is right, THAT WAY is left. I thought that was universal! lmao!

UF Dean, these tests are very important. Study and keep your mind focused on school until your tests are done. The DVD will still be there when it's all over, plus you'll have something cool to watch to let off all that steam afterwards :)

Happy birthday Matt Martinez!

"....It's me.... ovation1!!.... ;-) "

Mikey, did you jump up and down and wave your hands in the air when you said that? lmao!

Shogun Vai = Ovation1 = Mikey D. = #1 defender of Dr Vai! lol!

I gotta check out Bad Horsie. Maybe it'll put a little energy up in here. I'm soooooo tired.

Dude, it's just you. Midnight sounds GREAT!

Alexandre, so sorry to hear your dad was in an accident, but very glad to hear he's o.k. His angels were watching him for sure. He'll probably be very sore for the next few days. Take care of each other, and we here at T2J will send your father good vibes and sunshine :)

I gotta be meeeeeeee, I gotta be meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Very smart words for a sweaty guy ;-)

Cheers ben E!

mari, I got a confirmation email for my DT tickets tonight.

Austin, no cd cover yet. humfffff!

Julie, a rolling stone gathers no moss :-) You never have to worry the way your moving & shakin' girl! lol!

My son had his first band concert tonight. Yes sir, my boy is badass on the tuba! LOL!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Holy shit! Sorry Jul, I meant mari. Yes, I think I'll go to bed now. lmao! DUH! That's what I get for trying to post from memory when I have none. lol!

The band concert was fun. Watching all the kids is always fun. It was 4th thru 6th grade. I kept saying "look how tiny they are!" while looking at the 4th graders. My son is taller than me and he's only 12! We took the camcorder and got some nice memories, but the battery in my camera was dead. I hate when that happens :-(

dude, Graham, WAY! lol! My son is about 5' 5", err somewhere around there, maybe taller? I'm 5' 4" and he's taller than me. He holds it on his lap and leans the tuba a bit to the left to play it. As a matter of fact, he's asking to take bass lessons. lol! My daughter wants guitar lessons. Both my kids want to take lessons at Fred's Music. I really have to get over there and sign them up. It never seems to be a good time financially, but I think now would be a good time for both of them. They seem like they're ready to stick with it.

Ethn, that sucks hard! All that money for only 6 songs! I'd be pissed!

Austin, my son is 5' 5" or 5' 6"? I think there's something in the water at your house man! Is your bro skinny as a rail like my son, or does he have some speck on him? lol!

Julie, smooth move with the Satch tunes. I hope everything is o.k. with your friends situation. Have fun in Florida! Don't forget - plenty of fluids! ;-) lol!

mikesb, he'll be on tuba what Jonathan Davis is on the bag pipes. lol! He'll be some sort of strange punk rock tuba player. lol! I doubt that he'll stick with it for years, but for now it's funny as hell. He didn't actually pick the instrument. The music teacher approached the kids and told them that there was a shortage in the horn (whatever it's called) section, so he offered a few instruments FREE of charge to some kids who were good in music class. It's normally a $75.00 charge for a kid to take music lessons in the school band. My son has a great sense of humor, so he picked the tuba :)

Sharon, I thought both of my kids were going to tower over me, but my daughter stalled a bit. lol! She was the tallest in her class all through school until the summer between 7th & 8th grade (she's in 9th now). When she went back to school, most of the girls she was always taller than, were now taller than her. lol! It was wild! lol! She's stuck at about 5' 2", but she still has plenty of time to grow *please grow!* lol! She doesn't like being that short. lol!

Scrawn, your right. I'd much rather be associated with Hagar than Roth. It seems like Roth's ego is way to big for his britches. I like the DLR VH better than any other, but personality wise, I'd pick Hagar. Tequila anyone :) lol! I like Sammy's voice too!

mikesb, noooo! Not Gentle Giant!! lmao!!! Oh please, make the sound in my head go away! lol! That's my husbands fav. It makes me want to drive red hot 6 inch spikes into HIS head! ha! Though I was going to say MY head, didn't you. lol! *shivers* anything but Gentle Giant...please! lol!

Alexandre, you are one of the kindest, most good-hearted, always positive, sweetest guys on this website. If you're anything like your father, he must be a great man. God Bless you both. Glad to hear your father is improving.

Mikey, good catch on the Bad Horsie guitar switch! I watched it last night. I love that part of the DVD!!

5 pages in less than 12 hours. sheesh! Sorry if I skipped anything.

Bil, Well, next to having your girlfriend take an ouzi and threaten the bitch at the desk - she did the best she could. I can't believe we pay all this money for going to the ER, and this is how unconscious people in wheelchairs are treated. I'm pretty sure that I would have went totally mental on that desk clerk to the point of getting arrested. I don't deal well in situations like that. I'd Hulk out for sure. lol! So sorry you had another "episode". Man, that really sucks. I'm glad you finally got the treatment you needed. Get some rest and make sure to tell your girlfriend how wonderful she is. - p.s. , you're one hell of a one-handed typer! lol!

Alexandre, it's so nice to hear that you look up to your dad like that. Give Hadji a good rub for me. As for Joe, he inspires us all :)

mari, that just flat out sucks. You should just tell your boss you're already booked. Maybe she'll lighten up everything will work out *fingers crossed*.

mick87, o wacker of penguins, your penguin should be quite sore by now...

YaYo, Eat 'em & Smile was the best! lol!

JS JS, go to www.guitarplayer.com to see what the cover looks like. THE APRIL ISSUE HAS JOE IN IT and on the cover!

Mick87, Steve is in a whole different realm on the Live In Astoria DVD. Two words...Bad Horsie! whoa!!

Just got done watching the movie School Of Rock. Funny as hell! Jack Black is insane. lol! They found some very talented kids - and so young! Great players/singers/actors.

Mikesb, I'll have to check that out. It sounds like a good one.

elpp, nice to see you again. Glad things are going well. Good luck with the game, but more importantly, get to a doctor and get your heart pain checked out. Believe me, you'd much rather catch a problem before all hell breaks loose. Good luck bro.

Alexandre, ha! Thanks Hadji! lol!

I think the one of the funniest parts of the G3 DVD is when Yngwie talks and sings. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and I think he can shred his ass off, but when he talks sometimes, and especaiily the first few words of Voodoo Child, I have to laugh. What the hell does he say there anyway? I bust up every time he starts singing that song. LOL!

Neil, LOL! That could have been crazy Uncle Charlie! Glad you didn't open the door! lol! I know there are 2 young boys and a wife, so if you seen them, it had to be Uncle Charlie...unless...there's someone else! LOL! j/k I don't know why, but I'm really glad you & Clarky finally got together. You two have been trying for ages.

JOE, will you be letting fans win backstage passes for the European part of the tour?

david fox, I'm asking for you guys. I've already see G3 on Nov. 5th here in the states. I didn't win b.s. passes, but (thank ya Jesus!) I did get to meet the bands outside afterwards. I hope you folks get the same chance to win the passes as we did :) Good luck to you all!

mari, I got my DT tickets today :) I hope we have time to meet up. I'd be disappointed if we missed each other.

Powerslave, any time you need a bad song planted in your head, I'll be glad to help out. lol!

mari, you got me jonesin' to listen to some SRV. He's on my playlist today for sure :)

Mikey, "A whoa ya" - That is, by far, the funniest thing on here since Clarky's soccer post. lmao!!

Climber, it really scares me that you knew that. lmao! I would have never guessed who sang that in a million years. lmao! Did you search it, or is it one of those things that stored in your brain and never left? lol!

Neil, I can't wait till the album is finished. I'm in line for a copy for sure. Glad you had a great time.

SupaaDave, as for Steve being hot - he's sooo much hotter in jeans & a tee than in his frilly stage clothes. lol! There's a little clip of him on the G3 DVD before the show in jeans. I sat straight up and said "hell yeah!" lol! I also dig the outfit he wears when he plays Bad Horsie on th Live in Astoria DVD. He looks much better when he's looking like a manly man. lmao!!

I wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf, ya know I'm feelin' Sin-us pai aaai aaain. lol!

mari, was there a language button on the TM Europe site anywhere? Check it out again and see if you can find one.

Julie, glad to see you took my advice and had plenty of fluids while on vacation. lol! How can a person drink so much and wind up so thirsty? lol!

Noppa, welcome to Satchland :) I believe that gig you're talking about was on Joe's birthday - July 15, 2000. There are a few pictures in the road section if you'd like to check it out. Click on ROAD at the top of the page and go to the Engines of Creation 2000 link at the bottom of the page.

It's ladies night in Buffalo.

Mikey, I wrote a song for you. Wanna hear it, here it goes ~~ Baby please don't go, baby please don't, baby please don't go into lurking mode you'll be back fo mo baby please don't go! lmao! Cheers to the Capt. fer that one! lol! I think there was supposed to be something about New Orleans in there, but I just wasn't feelin' it. lol!

So Mikey, since your in stealth mode, you'll probably still be reading this, so's I got another Vai DVD thang fer ya. Can you figure out what point in the video the picture of Steve on the cover was taken, cause I know :) I just caught it. I have the cover propped up under the t.v., and I though "hey, cause I call myself that sometimes, I said Hey, that looks familiar!" and there was the cover shot. Another thing with Bad Monkey...errrr Horsie - one of the finger lasers is dangling throughout most of the song. During the end 'edit' when he switches to the white guitar, the finger laser is back on his finger, BUT THEN, when he takes his guitar off and hands it to Sven, it's flopping around again. Yeah, I got it like dat yo! lmao!!

Miguel, 6DOIT is a great album, I agree!

Ben E O' mighty fairy penguin defector, I have that song on a mix cd my daughter made me. She thought it would be funny cause my son's nick is Lump. It was funny...for a minute. lol!

Joe eats sushi!! He's a real man if ever the was one! lol!

Powerslave, you got it! It looks like it's right at the beginning of Whispering a Prayer when Lars hands him Flo. He put Flo on and looks up like that, and WHAM! there you have the cover picture :)

DCK, if you listen closely, you can hear a Bad Monkey in that song. I swear to all things jelly filled *holding my right hand over a Missy Elliott cd* . It's vague, but it's in there.

edit: WHEW! 1400!

And we were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin', and just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted play that funky music white boy ~~~~~

ha! There, stick that in your pipes for the evening ;-)

edit: I forgot to put the FUN in funky. lol!

Austin, not yet ~~
