Austin, I LOVE the cover of Joe's Anthology cd! Front & back. The PJ cover is pretty cool too.

Powerslave, ha! You caught it when I called him Lars, but left it go when I called him Sven. lmao! Honestly, I forgot what his name was.

Hi Evbro!

night peeps.

Ben E, leave it to Weird Al make make a better song than the original. lol!

Julie, you WILL get your G3 DVD today! I don't understand why it took so long. I'll be checking my mail for the signed cd booklet. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you today :)

Tastey, nuthin' but nuts in the nutshell. lol!

Neil, it's o.k., we'll keep it a secret. It's when Uncle Charlie is dead and bloated and wrapped in 2 plastic bags inside a duffle bag and put in the closet that we have to tell others.

Mikey, LOL! That song popped in my head, and I couldn't figure out where I heard it. Now I remember - it's on Aerosmith's new cd - HONKIN' ON BOBO! lmao! Great name, huh? lol! I heard it on the radio, then I listened to some clips online and they gave me goosebumps. That's gonna be a kickass cd! Got a new Toshiba flatscreen t.v. yesterday, so I was checking out G3 & SV on DVD. lol! The pisser is, we recently bought a new entertainment center to fit the t.v. we had, which was a 27". We saw some pretty sweet 32" sets, but they wouldn't fit in the e. center, so we had to stick with the 27". Total pisser too man. Some of those bigger sets didn't cost much more than the one we got. We didn't think our older t.v. (a JVC) would take a dump this soon. It's only about 5 years old. Who knew?

Simon, the part with Jimi & Brtiney are on the DVD! lol! He shows a bit of the audience, especially a pretty girl in the fron row. He edited under her U.R.A.Q.T. - esentially telling her 'you are a cutie'. Let us know if you see yourself when you get the DVD so we can check it out.

Noppa, hostile debates on this site come and go. There are two rules. Ignore the ignorant, and don't feed the TROLLS! :-)

Mikey, the info on the t.v. makes me feel a bit better. There was only one bigger t.v. that I saw that had a killer picture, but it was huge, and so was the pricetag. Aerosmith's new cd is coming out March 30th. It's a blues remake cd I believe. Funny Austin hasn't mentioned it yet. Maybe I missed it if he did?

Clarky, yes, your soccer post was very informative - and funny as hell. lol!

WOOHOO! So glad you guys got your DVD's today!! You're gonna love 'em! I didn't get my cd booklet yet, but it should be here one of these days.

Thanks for all the happy 1400's :)

jazzerskydogmetalknee, how'd things go? Is everything o.k.? Are you back in the saddle again? lol!

mari, Austin, I'll be picking up Aerosmith's new cd when it comes out at the end of the month.

Graham, can you recommend a bass for beginners. We're looking for a bass for our 12 yr. old (the tuba monster). The guy at the store was trying to sell us some sort of Hammer Slammer or something? It had a short neck, but maybe we should start him our with a reg. size? No clue? Any tips for buying a first bass? Anybody?

Thanks guys! That was quick! We're looking at 2 Ibanez models - GSR200 and SR300DX - both a little over $200.00. My son is about 5'6" (not 6' lmao!) and he has average size hands. I think the necks on these basses are 34". My husband says Ibanez is a smaller size bass, and he's an Ibanez kinda guy, although that Carvin site has him drooling a bit. lol!

Ben E., maybe I'll buy the bass to whack him with if we buy him a bass and he doesn't play it. Thanks for the idea mate!

mari, does that harmonica keychain have lipstick on it? That's pretty cool. As for my list of H.S. bands ~ Skynyrd, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Doors, Ozzy, Triumph, Hendrix, Billy Thorpe, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Stones, Aerosmith ~ it's a great thing that it sticks with you. I know I'm leaving out some good ones. I got into a lot more music when I met my husband right after H.S. He opened up a whole new world of music that I'd never paid attention to before. I always think of him when I hear Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Stanley Clarke and most of the instrumental music I listen to, SRV, Steeley Dan, Gentle Giant (eek!), Warren Zevon, Return to Forever, Jeff Beck, Al DiMeola, etc... I don't like everything he listens to, and vice-versa, but we have pretty many bands in common, which is a real good thing. lol! Music is my life. If he listened to country, I'd have to kill him. LOL!

Jazzy, that bass would be nice for a kid with experience, but no way would I pay $1,000 for a kids first bass. That's like buying him an Escalade as his first car. Not gonna happen.

Mikesb, You would think my son was a big kid by the sound of his instruments, but he's known as Stick Stickley or Muscles Linguini in these here parts. lol! He takes after me with his love for chest thumping low end sounds. I guess you could get that at the bottom of a coal mine. There are some around here now that I think of it. Hmmm, maybe he should play the violin. lmao!!!

Update for all the old T2J members who were here in 2001 and helped me through a hard time.

Today is my niece's son Bryan's 5th birthday. You guys remember when his daddy was killed in a car accident and passed 2 days before 9/11. Anyways, today is his 5th birthday, he's happily in pre-school, and has a new little 8 month old sister to play with these days. My niece hasn't remarried, but she's found a great guy who is a very good father to her son and their new little daughter. Bryan knows his "real" daddy is up in the sky, and occasionally sends up balloons with drawings and notes on them for his daddy to have. He's still the spitting image of his daddy too. I talked to him on the phone today, and I said "Happy Birthday Stinkhead!". In his polite way, he said "Happy birthday too!". LOL! Guess it's everybody's birthday. lol! Anyways, I'll never forget the support you guys gave me during those hard times, and I figured today was a good day to say thanks again :)

Austin, thanks. That's a nice bass. I'll show it to my husband later tonight.

SupaaDave, thanks. I forgot about the Alien 32 nick. lol!

Shred 777, As for reading sheet music, I think Joe would say "the more you know, the more you know". O.k., that was in Shelspeak, so I'll explain it. The more you learn, the more you will be able to grasp the possibilities of your instrument, the better you will be. Oh yeah, let's not forget - practice, practice, practice!

Tastey, $900.00 a month rent!!!!!!! *Shel slaps her hand on her forehead!* Hooooo-leeeee shit! Man, you could be paying mortgage on a nice house with that amout of mulah! Wow man, that's a lot for rent here in PA anyways. Good luck finding a new place. I think you'll know it when you see it.

Tastey, in that case, $900. doesn't sound bad for twice the room for only $100. more. With only the two of you, the utilities shouldn't be that high. Wow man, living here, you could be paying a mortgage on a $250,000 house for $900. a month. Of course it's not that cheap in the bigger cities like Philly, it's exactly the oposite

guitarded boy, $1,300. here could get you sumthin reallll perty. lol! That's like a house with a pool & a 3 car garage mortgage. lol! You'd be in the doctor/lawyer neighborhood fer sure. lol!

Tastey, I love it when you use the word wicked the way you do. lmao! It always reminds me of the movie Good Will Hunting and a Boston accent. Dunno why. I use the word way like you use the word wicked - like 'that's way cheap'. lol!

YaYo, They're the mega reflectors Joe uses to channel energy on stage. It goes through his feet and up to his head. Why do you think he wears a hat now? To keep it all in :)

Fretslayer, I loved Skid Row back in the day! Is it still the original line-up? Have fun man!

tastey, Ben's in a new movie coming out. Can't remember what it is though. I only saw the commercial once, but it looked like a good one. It's so refreshing to see him without J.Lo. They make me wanna hurl when I see them together. She should have stuck with Chris Judd.

Hi anibur!

Simon, I can't remember what the crowds reaction was. I think they laughed?

Still no signed cd booklet in todays mail. F'ers! lol!

edit - Slanshroom, "Orgasm beer" - sounds like a scene from the movie American Pie *gag*. lol!

Miranda, I think it would be great if you could play Love Thing by Joe for Bil. He loves that song, and it would really do his heart some good to hear it. Also, tell him I said it's not nice to make girls cry, so he best get his ass up and out of that bed before I have to come over there! ;-) Seriously though, tell him that we all miss him, and give him hugs from all of us here on T2J. Take care of yourself too. Don't forget to eat and get some rest as hard as it is. You're in our prayers, as is Bil. God Bless.

UF Dean, thanks for thinking of me :) Actually we decided on an Ibanez GSR200 in transparent blue. Go to www.musiciansfriend.com and put in the number 519713 in the search thingy. That should bring up the bass we picked. Please let me know what you think.

Graham & Austin, read above message.

Julie, hope you're feeling better soon. ouch!

Mikey, we're watching disc 2 of LISF so my son can see how to Do the Stu. I forgot how awesome this DVD is. Joe's playing AWM,AWY. SWEEEET! Ahh, I've just been informed that I have to take my daughters friend home. They had an all day school field trip yesterday, so her friend slept over. They have today off. Would I be a bad mum if I drove the kid home in my pajamas & robe? lol! Eh, on second thought, it's a bit nippy outside so that might not be a good idea... foiled again! Oh yeah, this post was supposed to be about those airplanes. lol! Guess I got off track? lol!

Julie, hope the swelling goes down and you're feeling better soon. Try some applesauce, yogurt (gag), pudding, jello, soup, bananas, oatmeal - and if all that fails, go for the whiskey ;-) You'll still be hungry, but you won't care. lol!

Zonin, thanks for the list. Man, I would give my left nut to see that show! lol! (technicality folks)

VFR, I'd be more than a bad mother if I did that! lol!

YaYo, Eddie sounded pissed & irritated- like they were interrupting him from something important, or just bugging him. I only listened to the first few seconds (couldn't stand more than that), and that's the impression I got. Was this a planned interview, or something the dj's did on the spot just cause they had Eddie's number? Eddie prolly would have been better off just hanging up on them.

Miranda, how's Bil?

Mikey, I love LISF cause I love seeing Joe's bald head. You can see his expressions so much better and he looks much more 'open' without the hat, but if he feels better wearing the hat when he's playing, well, whatchagunnado? lol! I got dressed to take her friend home. Good thing I did too. Her dad was standing in the driveway talking to his officer friend who was sitting in his police cruiser. lmao! Her dad and a cop would have seen the crazy lady driving around in her robe. lol! He'd of had my license plate memorized to look for me later. Crazy alert! lol! It also doesn't help that the only bumper sticker on my car is a sticker that simply states "FU". lmao! It's the anti-vacation sticker. Ppl. have them from the vacation spots they go to. Say, if you go to Cape May, NJ, you get one that says CM. Hampton Heights is HH, there one that says OBX but I forget where that one is from. Anyways, my vacation spot is Fuckin' Utopia, so my sticker says FU ;-)

Climber, my post wasn't negative towards Eddie. He just sounded a bit irritated. I love EVH as a guitar player, but he's a bit disappointing personality wise. Same thing with a lot of musicians. Great music, not so great personalities. I didn't think he sounded drunk. Ya gotta remember the tongue cancer thing.

Happy birthday Anuj!!

BIL WOKE UP!!!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!! Thank ya Jesus! lol! Let the happy dances commence! I hope he improves with each day and finds a way to kick this things ass! I'll keep you both in my prayers. Get some rest and THANK YOU for keeping us posted.

Mikey, 1776 - lmao! I'm seeing the fife & drum dudes all bandages up in that famous moment in history. In our modern day version here on T2J, they would be playing a glock, a washboard, a triangle, and whatever else we could throw in there. lol!

SupaaDave, the Live in Astoria is the G3 DVD x 10 (meaning Steve's part). It's killer! A 'must have' for sure! As Tastey would say, it's wicked cool! lol!

mari, Check it out at www.OldGlory.com. It's Item # 4OE27052. I was so sick of seeing all these cars with every vacation spot listed on their vehicle. I swear I've seen cars (mostly mini vans) with like 5 & 6 of these things clogging up their whole back window. Who friggin' cares when ya been man! lmao! On the way home from Ocean City, MD 2 years ago, I think I counted about 15-20 OBX stickers on vehicles on the way home. When I opened up my Old Glory catalog and seen they had one that read FU, I damn near fell on the floor. Best $1.98 I ever spent. lmao!! I was even stopped at a red light one day, and a guy rolled up next to me laughing telling me to roll down my window. He wanted to know where I got the sticker. He thought it was the best sticker he'd ever seen. lol! I don't have anything against those stickers in small doses, but it seemed like everywhere I looked I saw another one. Overkill. Knowhatimean? lol! As for waiting for the DT guys after the show...we waited for about an hour after the last show at the Tower. When the guys finally came out they RAN onto the bus, then the bus almost RAN us over. My husband doesn't want to do that again. We'll have to meet before or after the show. I have no idea what you look like, so you'll have to help me out a bit there. I'll probably wear my black/silver Satch shirt & my black leather jacket? Not sure yet?
