Matt & Bret!!!

Great Stuff!! definately steering clear from the Joe Clone stuff... you are venturing out to create your own tone and sound which is exactly what you need to do!

The drums sounded awsome (great punchiness & all that great stuff) but I think that they drown out the guitar work a bit...

I wondered about you guys... (if you were even considering the T2J CD project)!

JS Clone 1, Rich!!! I still wish you were going to contribute a tune as well... heck, if I could afford it, I would pay for your song to get on the CD...

Off to see the Matrix this evening with the boys... but 1st to HOOTERS for Din Din ;)

I think this calls for a Bud Light!!!

Death Cube: Mark... man... yeah dude, that's scarey considering the amount of money I'm imagining you've got invested in guitar gear and recording equipment ie. computer...

I always fear that, the thought of my axes & amps falling into the hands of theives... Scarey!

Death Cube... sounds like you've been playing guitar for a real long time. in your 30s? been playin since you were a teen?

God, I've been playin for nearly 13 years straight and up until last year is the 1st time I've had a guitar that I'm real proud to have, well, excluding the home made jobby... but it blew up one day... long story... then I was forced to buy another, and all I could afford at the time was Epiphone Nighthawk, not bad in quality, but the fact that it was a Epiphone and not a Gibson always bothered me...

Amps are another story though... 7 years ago I had bought a Marshall JCM 800 "Combo 212" (very rare to find them this way) used at a Hock Shop and bought it for $400.00 no tax... I just traded it in last year around this same time and got $300.00 for it for a trade in... I think I did pretty good... don't you??? he he...

I think that's "Sofa-King Cool"

hamdo!

Actually they've quarentined another hospital in Toronto... It ain't over here yet... It's alot to do with people in this country... Some aren't smart enough to realize the dangers of the disease, & Some don't care... for instance... my Boss's father had double knee surgery performed when the outbreak hit and the hospital he was staying at Quarentined immediatly automatically isolating him from the outside world for an extra 3 weeks. The thing about it is that his family (my Boss, his bitch of a wife, and his Brother) were under strict orders to "Home" Quarentine themselves immediatly for 10 days for the amount of time that it might take for the disease to fester and yet his Brother was back at work the next day spreading a possible deadly virus... His wife had visited the same time as he did and only took 4 days off out of the 10 day Quarentine... My Boss was a little better at it, where he took 9 days that I know of away from work... Some people think that because they are wealthy or have important jobs or have busy lives, or make tonnes of money that they can break the rules... While their immunity systems are probably very strong, they are still carrying the contageous bug around passing it around to people that might not be as fortunate (ie. elderly, young, or already ill) they immediately get the full blown disease and are likely going to die...

I'm not saying that Canada was the worst country to break the rules... chances are that Americans, Europeans, Asians etc. were doing the same thing and ignored warnings of such a problem... That's why I think SARS has spread like it has, because know one has taken it seriously until it was too late... and there you have it, an instant killer virus...

Alexandre, thank you! I will... Apparently the Hospital that was quarentined in Toronto earlier this week is free do as they please again... So hopefully they have control of it... but I fear that it isn't over yet...

This calls for a Bud Light... just because...

Yes Joe has played "Clouds Race Across The Sky" Live...

During his EOC tour in 2000! it was great live... not as good as the original but what I did like about was that it left it open for alot of improvisation... Down Down Down live was my personal favourite... I have live Bootlegs of these 2 songs and the sound quality on them is amazing!

Death Cube K!!!!

I have a Dunlop JH-1 Wah-Wah (Jemi Hendrix Model)

I know Joe has used it on occasion... At "Lower Distortion" levels you can get a real nice bluesy wah out of it... But what I love about this particular wah is that at "Higher Distortion" levels you can really make a note scream to the point of ear pearcing insanity!!

that my friend is what you need!!!

I hear the Bad Horsie wah wah is cool too!!

DEATH CUBE!!! regarding the JH-1 Oh Yeah! Funky man! and now there's 2 different kinds... the one that I have that's straight wah wah... and another wah with a built in Fuzz pedal and different ways of using it all built in

check out: click on the Jemi Hendrix section and there's some small downloadable clips of the different wahs there...

Death Cube K...

Yeah... it's a different Wah Wah that's for sure... I like it because of the range in artificial harmonics I can conjure up, were talking frequencies my dog can only hear... cause everytime I get a real high one that I can barely hear he's runnin around in circles tryin to figure out what just happened... LOL!

You can get a real cool low tone out of it as well, like having the tone knob on your guitar all the way to zero, and by slighty ever touching the pedal it actually creates more distortion for you... when things need to get right down and dirty!!!

I think the one that might be for you is the Crybaby Q535 because you can adjust the frequency ranges with that one!

Fulltone has 2 different Wahs as well called Clyde, named after a 60s big band trumpet player by the name of Clyde McCoy! and apparently Joe has used them as well along with the other greats!

Ok gang...

Some people I hear have been having problems entering the chat...

I too had this problem...

Then one day I decided to shut off the software firewall that I had installed and bingo that fixed the problem!

Now if any of you other guys have a software firewall try shutting it down and then try to enter the chat! if it doesn't let you get in, it could be the setup of the software firewall, check to see how high the security level is set at... it might need to be lowered in order to enter the chat too.

For people with a hardware firewall there might be a problem there...

It really all depends on your Network settings... if you don't know what you are doing, don't try anything until you've talked to a skilled pro that can talk you through the solution!!

MR. NICK!! regarding the firewall, it could be as simple as changing the security level from high to medium or from medium to low of how much interenet traffic is allowed through the connection...

Quantum!

I've used Fruity Loops myself as well, and it really all depends on the sounds you're using... while it is fun to get a cool techno groove with the program, there's also alot of different sound effects that actually simulate some acoustic or analog drums (sound samples of a real drummer playing) just experiment with it and look at all the available sound effects that might not be preset into the blocks that are probably default presets!

hope this helps!

Hey Trutina!

yeah, I should be able to pay very soon... I got into a fender bender 2 weeks ago when I wanted to take care of it but then I figured I better hold off until I get the insurance deductable prepared before I do anything!

The repair to the Girl's car that I hit is $400.00 and would you believe I did more damage to my truck by rear ending her than I did damage to her car! my repair is going to cost $900.00! ouch!! but the insurance deductable is $300.00 and then the insurance will cover the rest!

Feeew!!! Close One!!

Give me a week and I should be sending the Money Order to you by next week hopefully!!

I'm self taught too...

I think it's the best way!

You develop a style all your own this way.

I'm no shredder or anything... just play some blues mixed with Rock and whatever else... I let my influences teach me what I wanted to learn by listening to CDs, and kept at it and picked up some other things along the way with some modern rockers as well... when learning by ear, you start easily picking up patterns, depending on the similar type of bands out there, some songs although different in beat, words... hard, soft etc... could use the same chord changes even... I even learned some songs by messing around and without realizing it because of practicing learned several songs that I didn't do intentionally...

welp, tired... I think I'll call it an early night!!

JS Clone 1! how about trying to build a guitar... I found that I had way more respect for the instrument after I built one... imagine what it was like to build another... respect times 2!!!

I love it, and I'll play it to death!

Anyways... Back to work I go!!!

JS Clone 1!

Guess you didn't get my last message...

I've been there man (lost the drive to play), more than enough to count...

As I said before, Try building your own electric guitar man! During the building process, it all slowly starts to come together... The machines cutting & slicing the wood, the chisels, spoke shaves, surforms etc... shaping something that grew from the ground, lived and died for us to make music with... you never actually know the instrument until you've built one from scratch... You suddenly respect the instrument in a whole new light as well...

Heck man, I'd even help you in any way to get started... I work for a company that uses strictly hard woods, and I can get the material for nothing... Hard & Soft Maple, Walnut, Honduran Mahogany(quartersawn), Ash, Bubinga(my fav) Teak, Poplar, Bass Wood, Birch

Think about it dude... I'm there for ya if you want to...

Miguel...

Believe it or not, Death is a very lucrative business...

Funeral Directors, Builders & Designers of Caskets & Urns get paid extremely well for their services & take their careers very seriously... I work for a company that makes Urns and Casket parts for a couple of different companies... we build many other things out of wood too, like Trophies, Plaques, and Crystal Awards as well... In fact, the urns we make are sold for the material only but then the companies that buy them, mark the price up... My company is in the works of designing and building their own line of Urns & Casket parts and mark their prices up accordingly to industry standards so that they may capitalize on a greater profit... time will tell on that business venture!

And in a matter of 10 mins of reading I go from Disbelief to Sadness & Tears to Happiness to find out that it's False and then suddenly to Sheer Anger & Rage that someone is sick enough to spread a rumour such as that...

that website should be sued for Bad info!
