Sorry gang... I guess you guys caught me on a bad day or something...

Crap... I don't say much... but when I do, people either run for the hills, or take offence...

Guess I better think before I say... kinda like "measuring once & cutting twice"... lol

On a lighter note...

Just got Line 6 Guitar Port!!! Matt King... I see what you were raving about when you 1st got it... it's addicting too, kinda like a brand new video game but you've got your guitar as the joystick... think I'll sign up for the lessons tommorow... I've been in a rutt as of late so I keep doing the same thing over and over again... I haven't been practicing new techniques as of late, and the band stuff at times is repetitive... So it's good to try something new and give me the inspiration I need to practice new techniques... Guitar Port will definetly help with that...

It So Fa King ROXX!!! and I most definetly suggest that you crank it...

Yeah OCP!!

That's exactly what I'm talking about, no one seems to care about it anymore, and it kinda ticks me off about it... being bummed about the whole thing is one thing but it shouldn't stop us from putting it out... and making that effort..

Nothing against Trutina what so ever but I think he should have passed the duties of putting out that CD to someone else when his health was an issue... someone that was willing to do it like possibly Death Cube or Mr. Paul Clark... Someone that's not affraid to dig in and get the job done...

Come On Gang let's work on a plan for this...

Also I'd like to take time to say that unfortunately, I think the art work needs a little work... In my opinion there were many different choices that I felt were better than what was finalized... anyone else agree with that? or am I on my own?

No Biggie Joe... Some of us will be listening... not exactly sure if I can make the brodcast or not, since I'm going by EST time, it's kinda hard to stay up that late...

Also since I've already had a few late ones as it is this week, and I punch a clock every morning at 7:00am, gettin up at 5:30am is hard enough as it is... staying up till 1:00am doesn't help it any more...hehe

Rock on Joe and have fun tonight...

Jazzy... no disrespect to DLR at all but I saw DLR back in 91 during the Little Ain't Enough tour or whatever it was called, that stadium was packed.... 15 000 to 20 000 people as I do recall... big show in Toronto... now to find him turning up in my hometown, "The Home Of Gordon Lightfoot and Steven Leacock"? DLR hops on the Native Band wagon and is playing to a seating of not more than 2500 to 5000 people... big for some, small for others... just the thought of someone's carreer winding down with the likes of that, is distressing... he might still perform well, and get the crowd rockin but are his big time glory days over?

DLR had a great solo carreer on his own at the get go, with great axe grinders such as Vai, & Becker to name a few.. in fact if I was to say that his solo carreer was doing a bit better than the new Van Halen at the time with Hagar... Eat Em and Smile, and Skyscraper were rockin albums but 5150 & OU812 wasn't at 1st a big time favourite...

I might even buy a ticket for that show, I like DLR with or without VH... but man what has happened to the music genre that a big name such as DLR is forced to downsize a venue?!?!?

There's my rant for the week... Oh wait... one more....

darn... didn't get backstage passes...

Holy Freakin Cow Joe... You are absolutely insanely crazy on that axe man... 5th time seeing you live last night, and I swear you only get better and better... YOU BLEW MY MIND ONCE AGAIN!!!

My drummer in my band has a friend that's an avid musician and happened to be a big Deep Purple fan but most importantly a Ritchie Blackmore fan... and this guy gave my drummer a message to give to me last night in Toronto, he said that Steve Morse was gonna smoke your butt on the guitar... Taunting me and all... I naturally laughed that right out of proportion, and so the show began, Thin Lizzy came and went, and then you were up soon after... my Drummer's mouth quite simply dropped and was totally flabbergasted to what you were doing... He's not a big fan of the Instrumental Rock scene or anything but I think he's got a new respect for you, that's for sure... he's heard your recordings through me and recognized what you were playing.last night... and naturally you hit everything to a perfect T... WAR ROCKED DUDE!!

Deep Purple was cool... Steve Morse was very good. I was very impressed with his style, He's not a major show boater or anything but you could tell he loved what he was doing... I have respect for any guitar player that takes pride in their playing...

Anyways, it was well worth the effort to get down there, and watch you play and all that great stuff... It's too bad we won't get to see "An Evening With Joe Satriani" up here in Toronto.. I hope you do one of those soon... either that or you should take a break for a year after this tour is done... you deserve it man... hell of a ride for numerous years...

Way to go gang... all the songs are great... even mine...LOL... a little self promotion there.. hope that's ok with everyone... Actually I'm a little touched by all this.... Just the thought of my little tune, being part of such a huge disc is overwelming to say the least...

I feel an extreme honour to be part of this project with all you great players...

Keep It Up.... you guys rock!!

That's so true about Jeff!!

He's always smiling... you know it's funny.. back in 96 when I saw Joe for the 1st time, Jeff went on tour as Joe's rhythm guitar player, Jeff wasn't really that bad but I could tell he wasn't extremely happy with that type of roll... Jonathan Mover was on the drums for most of the night, but then at one point in the show, he walked off the stage "took a powder" and then Jeff hopped on the kit, and he was all smiles from ear to ear... now you know that's a guy who loves to play the skins, doing something that he's happy doing... a guy who loves to keep the beat... and is not affraid of showing his true feelings for everyone... Jonathan never smiled once through that whole show... but when Jeff was up playing the drums everyone seemed to come together that much tighter...

So Gang!!

How's everything?

Where In the World Is Bil McKim? has anyone heard from him?

Austin? you seemed to have close contact with him for awhile?? have you tried lately to get a hold of him? has anyone?

other than the usual people? maybe via his soundclick site?

It would be nice if we the song contributors could put our money to good use now that the CD has been released, and then that way that money that we gave to charity 50.00 US dollars we could at least get one printed and pressed copy of the T2J CD...

Let's not let this slide people, be relentless in our cause!!

Peace Barrie

I've got to hand it to you Joe...

You keep an amazingly busy tour schedule man...

Touring all through the Christmas holidays like that takes a special person, if it were anyone else, they'd be cancelling shows, but I find that you are the only one who actually goes through with nearly every show that you guys book... That takes serious dedication to your craft man... Anyone else belly aches when they have no spare time for themselves.. and go off into a fit of rage over it... bands like G n R... AXL would cause trouble in between the band, or Kurt Cobain from Nirvana, Even Nigel Tufnel when radio transmissions came through his wireless kit...

In your case, when the going gets tough, the show must go on regardless... for instance, Eric Caudeaux? wasn't allowed over the American border to Canada to perform for one night in Toronto in 2000, because of a Passport issue? You went with the flow and picked up where you left off, and performed an amazing show that night regardless...

Like I was saying... you've got to give credit where credit is due...

Peace Joe... you're the best...
