Yep, Jeff's Canadian all the way... he doesn't do a whole lot of touring anymore but owns a Nightclub for live music called "Jeff Healey's" of course... Steve Vai has been a guest there once or twice... Jeff plays there all the time... and it's an open jam setting... if you wanna go up and perform, it can be arranged... and Jeff usually runs the show...

Mikeb...
I've played that Godin that Steve Stevens was playing in that vid... it weighs a ton... It's about as heavy as your average Les Paul... it sounds great... but it's basically a solid body classical guitar... I love the classical sound but I love the fact that it is a light weight acoustic...
I've been really eye balling classicals today... I love the look and vibe that a Breedlove has... problem is the price with me...
GAWD I WANNA BREEDLOVE!!!

hows that european tour treating you?
I can't wait for a new DVD to be perfectly honest... another stand alone show, showcasing your songs, and your songs only would be a total mind scrambler... almost as much as it was meating you this year... That's been nearly a life time of a dream for me... and it finally happened, although I wish I had time to chat with ya a bit longer...
you were unfortunately very tired... as I could tell immediately... I was the second last person in line to meet you... and you were a little weirded out too unfortunately when I was chating with ya about my old nickname on T2J... which was Plum Loco for a good 8 years... but I gave that nickname up because I hadn't used that nickname in PC gaming for a fairly long time... I was also on the 1st Talk2Joe CD but unfortunately, in my case, a mad rush to enter the songs was a major issue and had I have known that it would take like more than a year I would have worked harder on a tune more worthy for the CD... I did my best, but the production side of it took a nose dive for my part and the overall production of the CD itself... major disappointment for a musician who really doesn't have the skills as a producer. on a more professional level where there were actual producers around they would have dictated the overall sound on how a song would go together, mixxing and mastering which unfortunately I'm still trying to learn after 10 years...
aw well... what do you do... Adobe Audition, or Cool Edit Pro and SONY Soundforge will only get you so far to be perfectly honest...
anyways it's been a long day...

Hey there Sandy...
I appreciate the kind words of wisdom...
I feel as a musician that I'm always slowly growing and maturing and realizing what sounds good, and what doesn't, so for me it's always a preference change... what sounds good to me now, most likely won't sound very good to me 6 months from now especially and most definetly my own material that I've worked on and structured in the past... Me being in a band for the last few years has majorly inspired me sound and overall tone wise, which reflects my playing ability as well... a colaboration especially with the songwriters in my band dictates how I approach a song... and I love that about writing with other people... when I do this sort of thing by myself, I'm nowhere near inspired enough to do as good a job... it's just my opinion but then again, I'm sure it's ok to be your own worst critic... it keeps me sane and down to earth... I'm humble just as much as the other guy... but I do thank everyone who does like my song on the 1st Talk2Joe CD...
anyways it was another long day...
we'll talk soon...

Ah yes... Uxbridge, Ontario... that used to be my old stomping grounds back in the 80s... actually I lived in Stouffville... very close to Uxbridge. but I played a lot of soccer and Hockey as a kid back then in Uxbridge... then I moved to Orillia with my parents in 1988 when I was 16... Uxbridge and Stouffville sure have changed since when I lived there...

yeah I hear ya on the music situation... that's one reason why I quit woodworking on a table saw from day in and day out for the last 10 years of my life... don't get me wrong, I have all my own tools still and all that, but working everyday is a different story... the more you're on it, and doing it the more things will probably eventually go wrong too...

HEY JOE!!! I just loved the most recent podcast... you made me bust a gut something awful... That Moostachio gave me a whole different outlook for instance if you weren't touring the globe playing your music... and instead you were infact a master chef or something along those lines, giving cooking tips on a cooking show all your own or something insane along those lines...

I just Love those POD casts... some serious news about the Satriani Live DVD... I am counting the days for that...
A Cool New Way Live as I remember it was absolutely triumphant... man... when that bridge hits you in that song, I love that harmony effect... man... and that's all I can say really...hehe

finally got the Satriani Live DVD... but it is a Christmas present, to me, not a surprise, but to ensure that I was to get the right DVD, my girlfriend had me pick it out, I won't see it til Christmas now... it'll be worth the wait I'm sure...

finally got Satriani Live On CD... sound great... I have it on DVD too, but I can't watch until Christmas... present from my girlfriend...
my fav tune live... The Meaning Of Love... love that tune period...
