Mr. Nick... thanks for checkin my stuff out... you'll find that I'm full of surprises! ;) I'm not necessarily Rock, I also studied alot of folk finger picking and a bit of classical...

I've been studying different stuff too other than the Satcholic style, another big infuence to me is Rik Emmett (formerly of Triumph). although I don't play any of his stuff because it's alot of Smooth Jazz, Classical, Blues, & Rock stuff... Rik has this unique abilty to blend all of these styles even in the same tune... and it sounds excellent... & he's also an amazing singer spaning 3 or 4 octaves... for a guy that's really hard... check him out if you want...

Crap.... Broke a String.... :(

oh yeah... Mr. Nick. on the Boss's DS-1 & AC-2 I love them... I don't use the DS-1 a whole lot, just use it as a booster in volume and tone more than anything when need be, my Line 6 Spider has all the tones in Distortion & Overdrive and anything in between that I want so I'll use the DS-1 in cases of fast changes in tone when I need it...

Mr. Nick, holding the guitar is different for everyone... Believe it or not I hold it mostly with the neck practically vertical, I think they hold a Zitar this way and well a chello(sp.?) is held and played vertically... it seems so comfortable for me to hold it this way... I find it easier for my hand to "fall-up" the fretboard as I'm assending with a scale...

Metalchica! I hope your Bro gets better soon man. I kinda more or less know what it's like to see your brother in a hospital setting fighting for his life. My brother has been in a Hospital twice with a life threatening event... My Brother #1 had severe Asthma as a child and several times had been taken to the Emerg. and once they injected adrenaline shots into his chest to help make his lungs fight until they could get his lungs breathing normally again... for a young child this was a very irritating procedure and left him very ill at times because of it... then #2 a few years after that he was wrestling with a bunch of kids and suffered multiple hernias as result and was hospitalized for a month because of the extensive damage, and do to the operation which left him in severe pain... he was forced to repeat a year of school unfortunately as well because of all the classes he had missed...

Because all of all the trauma in his life it's affected him physically somewhat but more so mentally because he had some pretty rough rides as a kid, he is now a bit of a "Wild One"... putting it mildly, he feels that he always got the "bum wrap" so-to-speak so he feels if he's partying or messing around with his friends it's almost as if he's daring something else to happen to him... kind of going out of topic but, all I can say is to stick by your brother and re-assure him that everything is going to be ok and that regardless of what happens now, you and he family will be there for however long it takes until he's better...

Anyways, I hope you hear from Joe about this... take it easy!!

It could be very possible that Chet Atkins was a mentor of Joe's in an indirect professional way...

I've never personally heard the recording but Chet Atkins & Les Paul did a few duets together and the one that is the Jem is a song they did together called "Dixie Doodle" a combination of Dixie Land & Yankee Doodle... he he but apparently the song is amazing...

PhryDom The Boss AC-2 (Acoustic Guitar Simulator) is great! I wouldn't exactly say it sounds perfectly the way I want an acoustic to sound like coming out of an amp but It's very versatile... oh! and it even adds warmth to your guitar when the distortion is on he he... forgot to shut it off one day and wondered how my guitar sounded like a Jazz Tone...

All it really does is it takes out the real bright twangy-ness that an electric can sound like, giving a warm tone to each string sort of what an acoustic is like... but if you experiment with it, and know when to pluck the strings and at the right intensity, its a dead ringer for an acoustic... great for finger picking style... it's got Jumbo Acoustic tones, Piezo Acoustic-Electric tones, & a combination of others as an Enhanced mode... best I can do to describe what it does... it wasn't cheap either... for me a Canadian it cost $180.00, the same amount that I spent on my Dunlop JH-1 (Jimi Hendrix Wah-Wah)

Chris Peters!!!

How's the editting of the tracks going for the T2J CD?

Is everything going smoothly?

& I'm just curious also, what program you use to edit the tracks?

Mr. Nick!!!

Part of me is ashamed to admit this & part of me is proud as well. I came up with "Weapons Of Mass Distortion" as the album title for the T2J CD!

It kind of had one of these things that it's a total disregard of tasteful remarks seeing as people are dying out in the world because of the Weapons Of Mass Distruction thing.

& then again it seems to fit so right to a name of a song or name of an album as it is in this case... at this time it's probably the "WRONG" choice but at a happier & less volitile time that we live in and as cool as the album title suggestion sounds it might stick... when & if the world turns to a bit of a normal state, that and only then... it will work...

I have a bone to pick.....

Ok... Here Goes...

We all know that the U.S. & Great Britain invaded Iraq to find Weapons Of Mass Distruction... and of course they haven't found anything fully assembled but did find trace compontents on such weapons existing. And we all know that some still disagree that was the intention of the USA & Great Britain and they still beleive that it was all about "OIL"...

Now that the major campaign is over some believe that North Korea is next on the "CHOPPING BLOCK" so be it, just because they fired some Nuclear Reactor...

Does North Korea have anything for the US to Steal?

But that's not the best part...

Today or Yesterday (who cares really) The US issued a strong threat to Canada saying that if Canada decriminalized Marijuana they would face retaliation from the US... Fine and dandy... I know Canada has OIL supplies that I'm pretty sure that the US already has access to. and I know a few years ago, Canada was on the "CHOPPING BLOCK" for lumber exports and that the US disagreed with the conduct of how it was distributed and that it should be taxed or something.

What is it with the US? are they the Boss? do they dictate everything that goes on in the world? They force their beliefs onto other governments, other cultures... are we supposed to accept this?

Ok, USA... I'm sorry to say this but come on!

take our OIL or DOPE?!?

Ah Crap!

have a nice day!

Hey Clarky! Great! there's going to be some amazing music on this CD, I just know it...

The reason why I asked was because I didn't see your Name or BIO on the Talk2Joe site... and Matt King's either... did you decide to not write up a Bio for the website? and just leave it for the CD?

Jeez I hope my little intrumental "sappy" tune is comparable to some others he he... I liked my song because it's a song that came naturally to me, and it was the 1st song I wrote when I moved into my new home hence it's name... Finally Made It Home

"alexandre caetano" Thanks for the vote of confidence, I never thought my song would get such great feedback, it's not without it's flaws but the tone is great, and there's a definate clear message in the song, at least I think.

I think it's a beautiful song as well... again... thank you for your kind words.

Doing a song together would be cool... of course you have a band, and all I have is me, myself, and I. I'm sure we can work around that tiny little detail. ;) not to mention the distance we live from each other. I'm from Canada, but I'm not sure where you're from?!

anyways... yeah, we should write & record some stuff, email our ideas or make it available to download off of our IUMA pages. The Idea of an Online Band or "E-band" is a real neet idea...

for some that didn't get a chance to listen to my tune for T2J CD here's a link to the song entitled "Finally Made It Home"
