Hi eberyone and Joe
Ive been trying to do some recording but im having troubles. I use a marshall head and cab with this emulated DI thing - when I plug a lead from this to my line in on my pc i get nothing - should I have something else in between?
I can get a sound if i plug it into the microphone port but I then get this annoying buzz.
Anyone got any good suggestions? I would bypass my amp and just go in via my pedals but i would lossed some of my nice amp tone then?
Cheers

PHRYDOM - thanks for the help but I have tried the line in and i get no sound whatsoever. i have checked the mute etc and its not that. it seems like it needs some kind of amplified sound that my amp isnt giving? I dunno.
The steve vai guitar at ebay is only available to the US again. im gutted!!

Clarky or anyone - the pitch axis theory - Ive been trying it out but I dont quite get it - lets take C as the pitch that we can axis from, so if we said something like C5 D5 and G5 as our progression. we could play c major over this but what else in C? are we saying that over the G5 we could play C lydian as an example ? - what else?
Im not sure whether I should understand this or not? I thought I did from clarkys post today but now im not so sure so any examples or other helpful info would be much appreciated
Cheers
Joe - Hope things are going good for ya! take it easy!

Also while im asking, - how does everyone here tend to start writing their songs? is it with a chord progression that sounds good or an idea of a melody?

Hey all and Joe
Im gonna try and write something for this T2J CD but I havent written anything before so i may not make it in time
Austin - If you havent written before do you fancy trying to combine a song with another newbie to songwriting?
Take it easy peoples!

Hi everyone -
Im gonna try and get a tune up together for the T2J CD - I cant make any promises at the moment though!
JSC1 - I would be interested in your for the love of god vid - I really enjoyed the other vids you sent me and I would reccomend them to anyone! Im still very impressed that you can learn all that by ear!
What size picks does all you guitar players use? I tend to use quite a heavy pick but the edges seem to wear down very quickly and become almost useless for anything fast!
Have a good day!
