"You need to be deaf to your own horribleness'' on guitar, Satriani explains.

This is an interesting quote, i remember reading somewhere that Satch once said: 'Always make sure you hear the sound you're making, and not the sound you want to be making' They are both interesting quotes! Maybe in the second one Satch was talking about tone, but us young grasshoppers can learn much from either of them! ........Joe Rules......

300 posts remember!!! :D

Listening to Learning To Live now by DT...this song gets better every time
I've emailed the dude who's in charge on the vai.com message boards with my browser info etc, hopefully something will be fixed...
I forgot to mention:.....yesterday i played a js1000btb in my local guitar shop and.....omg.....the coolest guitar -ever-!! I know he neck was going to be something different and i wasn't sure if i'd like it or not but it was so comfortable, and the body! It was so slim and odd to get used to it kept slipping down from my knee lol, i just love js1000's! I've never played one before so this was a dream come true.....now all i have to do is sell our family car and buy one!! woo!.......Joe Rules..

Yah the texas chain saw massacre kinda sucked...it wasn't scary one bit and wasn't half as gory as i expected...it'll never be more scary than the halloween slasher films!!
I saw the 'Phone Booth' the other day with my girl..it was pretty good, very impressive to say they only filmed it in 12 days, not many twists but it was still quite gripping, i'd give it 7 out of 10.
And yay i can almost play 'the animal' all the way through now too! Does anyone have a decent backing track for it? I'm hoping to record it and get an iuma page goin' any help would be greatly appreciated......Joe Rules...

Woah! Has anyone ever tried putting a thimble on their pinky or inder finger on their picking hand and playing guitar?? Its great!!! You can do so many things: You can tap with it, you can sweep with it, you can get that satch 'MIndstorm' sound without having a 9v battery dangling, you can slide notes past the fretboard and right up to the bridge!!! They rock!! Ask your mum is shes got one if shes into nitting ( lmao thats what i did ) or BE A MAN and go down to your local craft shop and buy one!! Don't knock it till you've tried : ) ......Joe Rules......

Guitarcake There is a guitarist who pioneered the use of a thimble to play the guitar, i forget his name now but he used to dangle a 9v battery from a piece of string which was somehow attatched to the top of his guitar to slide notes past the neck and tap over the pickups, i'll find out his name......Joe Rules....

Clarky Aye, i think the best thing is gonna be to just record them with an optical cable instead of transfering them from the usb, i've got Barryprman on my AIM list since i'm an aol chap so i'll ask him if he has any idea about it, lol yeah Rape is a fantastic track and i know a lot of people at my school who would also think it rocks so i just thought i'd put the word aboot a bit. I put up a notice on the message board at school about Matt Kings mp3 page and some people asked me aboot it, just trying to help! hehe, .......Joe Rules....

962 I don't know much about Jem's but i read that there was an big uproar from certain people on jemiste because 'ohhh only Jem7's are good enough!' XD as soon as Steve Vai talks about them they think they're a good idea lol, i think they're a really basic jem. No vine inlay, ibanez pickups and a hard tail bridge of some sort. I'm sure someone can go deeper into this for you...

You know...wallpapering is very much like making love to a beautiful woman...First you must clean all surfaces from debri and dust...then lube up your brush and get it to work...after going at it for a good while and working up a sweat you can finally stand back and admire your work...=D......Joe Rules....
