Phrygian Thanks! That vst link really helped, well i think i might just scrape through with my 350mhz processor since it says that the recommended is 500, i can always clock mine :-P lol i've got a celeron 500 somewhere in my bedroom which i maybe could dust off and fit if my pentium 2 wasn't cutting it, one thing i do know though is that i will need more hard disk space if i want to save things obviously! i've only got 2.6 gb leaft! Damn all these mp3's lol! So it looks like i'll fork out some pennies this christmas on 60gb+ hard disk space and maybe keep some seperate if i could do with a new processor, i can always take my pod to school and use it at dinner on the music room pooter, thanks for your help again! And yay pasta (my favourite) for tea!......Joe Rules....

Ya Yo Gakk I was actually gonna get an amd athlon 1.8! Until i read something in one of the links phrygian gave me, apparently amd processors dont work as well with Cubase VST or something like that, however, it say that the amd hadn't been tested with it yet, i can't really think of any reason why a athlon wouldn't do a better job than a pentium 4 because athlons are all over the place now, lol first it was the 'ye old amp decision' dilema i had a while ago now its the 'what to put in my pooter' dilema lol! I'm sure i'll decide on something eventually.......Joe Rules.....

Hey again, well i was thinking about increasing the range of music i listen to so...i downloaded some music by that female singer/pianist Vanessa Carlton and i was suprisingly impressed! Its nothing like what us lot usually listen to but it makes a nice change! The song 'A Thousand Miles' is actually pretty good with the catch piano riff if you can call it a riff, anyway, just a little insite there into my day lol! :-D........Joe Rules.......

fret goblin01 I've been playing guitarfor about 7/8 years now but only really seriously for the past 2 years, i try and get a couple of hours practice in a day during the week and when im at home im usually on the guitar for as long as i can, i wouldn't class myslf as 'good' but i think im good for my age.... I think its really for other people to decide wether you're good or not because when you start compaing yourself to others and getting big headed thats when it all starts going down hill. I've been off school today and i've almost got the mystical potato head groove thing down, those darn sweeps are so grrr hard! lol One of my mates who started learning guitar about a year ago is in a band and he lkes the song too so we're thinking about performing it at our school presentation evening in the town hall next week in front of 1,000+ people! Argh lol Talk about jumping in at the deep end hehe! ..........Joe Rules........

Hey guys, got a question. I'm learning Steve Vai's 'For The Love Of God' I learnt most of it up to the solo by ear but i decided to download the power tab, the only thing is i have noticed that it is on a 7 string, im confused though cos i've seen Js clone and others playing it on a normal 6 string... am i correct in thinking that the standard tuning on a 7 string is e-a-d-g-b-e-b? If this is right what should i doo to be able to play it on my 6 string? is the tuning different on the guitar Steve recorded and is it still possible to play it using the power tab on my 6 string?? Argh Please help! .......Joe Rules......

Hey guys, i've got quite a tricky question here but i just want to be totally sure on this! Ok so im gonna get a pod for chirstmas, at school we have a keyboard connected to a pc by means of MIDI, the keyboard is connected to the computer through the games controller port (where you would usually connect a joystick/game pad etc) it is connected by another lead which plugs into the game port which has 2 short cables on each with a MIDI plug so you can connect the MIDI leads from your instrument to it. I'm not entirely sure what this game controller is on, i think it should be the mainboard, so if i wanted to do this it would probably depend on what mainboard i have? Does anyone else know anything about this method? And does anyone know if i'll be able to control my pod this way or does the pod need to connect directly into the soundcard via MIDI for some complecated reason that i wont understand? lol If you can give me any info and/or advice on this it would be a biggg help.......Joe Rules......

Clarky When i finally get my pod and i figure out how to connect it via MIDI to my pooter i'll hopefully be able to control the pod's settings through the sound driver software provided so i can fine tune the patches and download different patches off the website, i'm also hoping to be able to use my pod to record onto Cubase VST with.......Joe Rules.......

Plum loco, i recently had a go on a PRS Mcarty whilst trying out a marshall avt50 and i wasn't too impressed either since the guitar was priced £2,250, i have a guitar made by a company called Patrick Eggle (they're quite a small company based in Birmingham England i think, i dunno if you're in england) my model is a vienna pro which they dont make anymore and it is an absolutely fantastic guitar from such a small company, the guy i take my guitar to when it needs some work doing on it also compared it to a prs and said its just as good if not better and when it came out it retailed for about £1,000, i would much rarther have this guitar than a expensive prs, its got a wilkinson trem, ebony fingerboard (24 frets) mahogany body with a quited maple top (its a beautiful orange colour) 2 kent armstrong humbuckers, and i haven't played a guitar yet that i prefer over this one! I'm suprised Patrick Eggle are only a small company, its definately worth checking them out, my links never work so just copy this url lol http://www.patrickeggleguitars.com/ I'm trying to track down some other owners of the vienna pro so if anyone reading this has one drop me a email! ........Joe Rules.... argh long post :-P lol
