Hey guys, just a little question, i read somewhere that on the line 6 pod when you switch from a different patch to another one you keep all your effects from the previous setting? i.e. delay, chorus etc, is this correct? And does the floor board eliminate this 'problem' Thanks guys, Hey Matt King, cool poster! .....Joe Rules....

Gijin Just copy this url into your browser For a list of effects Joe used for his last tour, http://www.guitargeek.com/rigview/293/ in this tour its all the same apart from he uses a pitch shifter and a harmoniser (lets not get into that debate again loL!) im sure some other peeps on here will give you a more in depth look at Satch's rig for this tour, hope i've helped! .......Joe Rules.... (did try to do a poper link twice but the damn thing wouldn't work! argh)

Axmanjr, i'd also like to know! Especially how he gets that clean but really big sounding sound on 'Until We Say Goodbye' in my opinion that must be one of the hardest tones to nail with a standard live rig, i'm hoping when i get my pod (this chirstmas yay!) i'll be able to re-create some of his sounds using the pod settings in the front of the 'Jam With Joe Satriani' cd+book which i'll play through my pooter so i dont have to bother with the annoying hassle of phasing my amps natural sound out, which i'd really like to do since i hate my amp! Argh roll on chirstmas! ..Joe Rules... :-D

Hmmm i can get into the chat just fine.. Parsell I think its only the acoustic guitar on 'Flying In A Blue Dream' that is tuned to an F, Joe's lead is just standard tuning as far as i know, it says the same in 2 different official tab books, im learning it too! Argh its taking forever, i think i need to slow down a little bit and not practice as much becausei think im getting a bit of r.s.i in my left hand index finger knuckle, it goes away after a few days but then comes back after a few hours playing :-\ i'll see how it holds out.....Joe Rules....

Parsell, i've got the official Flying In A Blue Dream tab book, and yes the rythm is tuned to an F but the lead guitar is standard (e-a-d-g-b-e) tuning, i also have the 'total accuracy Jam with Joe Satriani' cd+book and it is also the same in there, I'm pretty sure it is standard tuning because Joe uses the same guitar for flying.. live and goes on with the same guitar to another song (devils slide etc) which i KNOW is standard tuning, hope i've ironed that one out! :-D .......Joe Rules...

Kell Thanks for getting back to me on my q so fast :-D, i was basically wondering how good the pod+cubase vst combination is, i will be using just the pod and no amps to record with, does this method really let the full potential of the pod really shine? Any basic feedback you can give me will be great thanks.....Joe Rules.....

LGU89 I'm sorry to say this but i definately think you're getting carried away with the whole chirstianity thing. I mean, you're comment on 'if you want to know what hell is like, dont be a christian' and 'if you want to know what heaven is like, be a chrstian' just my opinion but i think thats total rubbish, i personally am not a christian and dont believe in that sort of thing, now im not starting up an argument here i just think that those 2 statments you made were VERY wrong, and more than a little over the top, there isn't anything wrong with being a christian at all! Its just i think that you've taken it a little to far....Joe Rules.....

Sweet_mellisa Welcome to the site! This section (talk to joe as im sure you know by now) heh, well it should be 'Talk to the fans' really but anyhoo, feel free to ask any questions you have or shout out any opinions! etc. So! I've finally decided what i want for chirstmas! First it was the 'ye old amp question' hehe, and now im definately getting a POD, i was hit with the shocking but true fact that im going to have to spend some of my hard earned (hard winged lol) pennies on my computer, turns out i'll also be getting an Amd athlon xp 2000 processor (i'll need a new mainboard too argh!) and a 60gb hard drive, im gonna save for a cd-rewriter too, so finally i'll have my own little recording area set- up!! ........Joe Rules....

Hey guys, on the whole Bells of lal/Slow down blues debate, i think these deathmatch satch songs are a really great idea! If joe checked back here more often (i know hes popping in now and again now but we all would like him here everyday if that was possible!) i think like having our own favourite set list this is a very good idea to see which songs the fans really want! It would be even cooler if Joe posted a message now and again if he was trying to decide which song to add to a setlist for a certain tour etc and then we could all debate and vote and the winner gets included in the setlist! Anyway, i know the power cosmic 1&2 isn't in this debate but i think i'd rarther see Joe perform the 2 parts of the power cosmic, it would be really interesting to see how the song(s) were arranged around the sweeps which sometimes run continuously in the background on the album version! Anyway bargain hunt has just come on tv so im off to get my coco :-D ......Joe Rules......
