stu not boo...could be intrepreted (spelling?) in different ways, but i think usually, the 'guest', i.e not joe and steve go first, then joe and steve then the jam..perhaps it makes better sense if Joe goes last to some people and steve went last for other people...

artanis 1..like i said...the guest on ge would go first then satch and vai, perhaps they swap around at each venue or something.

LGU89 and h302..steve vai and mike keneally sing on my guitar wants to kill your mama. Joe sings on the first one - going down.

van halen topic.....did you know dave and sammy toured together last year?? i watched it on a tv progamme, the 2 of them, shaking hands, talking and laughing together.

r6rocker...with the situation of van halen, where one singer replaced the other...and then the singers insult eaxh other..just pathetic really...they should be lucky enough to have been in van halen and eddie should appreciate what they gave him and vica-versa..the insulting and that should have never happened...but then..they are american rock stars with huge egos...so i suppose they would do that.

invigor..why should we? if we cant play the entire song? whats wrong with improvisation? what you said is exactly how modern pop covers are made. with improvisation, it shows you understand the peice and it gives it a unique feel and your own kind of version of it. i prefer this, it makwes me a better player and makes me understand music more, learning notes is learning notes and doesn't require musical understanding, it may require technique, but technique is not feeling and does not give the song feeling. [rant over now :)]

anyone with more theory knowlegde and know summer song better than me (clarky and Joe)...what key is it in? the tab book i have, i think its wrong. it says the key is Amaj, but i think its A mixolydian. and wheres the key change in it? and what key does it change to? the book says Bb maj, but Amaj to Bb maj in the book..surely(goig back to one of Clarky's lesons), that shouldn't sound too good. can anyone help?

clarky...lol..good joke...thanks for the summer song info, if the guitar is tuned differently..AAAHH!!!! i've got floyd rose! it takes ages to retune with one of them!!

local person..oh good..thx for saying summer song isn't detuned..that saves alot of time and effort and keeps stress levels normal.

greg m..you dont like glass prison?? why not? its a great song

artanis1 Friends has a country rock type feel to the song

michelle..lol..you haven't seen the time signatures in that song- dance of eternity, here we go, without missing a bar out - 7/8 3/4 4/4 7/8 3/4 4/4 7/8 6/8 7/8 4/4 7/8 6/8 7/8 13/16 15/16 17/16 14/16 4/4 7/8 3/4 4/4 7/8 4/4 5/4 17/16 15/16 13/16 4/4 6/8 5/4 2/4 5/4 2/4 5/4 2/4 5/4 5/8 11/4 (*4) 9/4 2/4 9/4 11/4 4/4....etc...

michelle..i might get that liquid drum theater, just to see how he counts and writes in weird time signatures, it might help me alot in writing and playing songs.
