for all you Led Zeppelin fans

"After the great success of his Beatles Tribute band Yellow Matter Custard, Mike Portnoy has been asked to assemble another special one-off tribute project for his appearance at the Montreal Drum Fest in November.

His LED ZEPPELIN tribute band HAMMER OF THE GODS will once again feature Paul Gilbert on Guitar, as well as Dave LaRue on Bass and Daniel Gildenlow on Vocals.

This special one-time-only project will appear on Friday November 7th at the Montreal Drum Festival with a possible "warm-up" gig to the general public earlier in the week....

Stay tuned for more details....."

you're all clever bastards getting A's and B's and C's. i failed music tech..i dont know how but i blame the school for not teaching me anything. i got an E in general studies..partly because i didn't really care about it (and i did AS general studies)...and an E in chemistry (AS) again and E in biology....ah well..at least i'm in the ACM though...which is what i wanted :)

for all involved in the american and canadian powercuts..you can blame Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater.

quote from his website -

"I was in the middle of recording some leads for the new DT album when the power started blinking like crazy! THen all the instruments went off! I am on my powerbook using the batterie at the moment. Maybe I played too fast?? Musically, Jordan"

greg..with joe doing the G3 tour...which will probably go into next year. then he will have to finish off his album..and then set a date...so the tour, if joe does one next year, will probably be about the same dates as last time, june/july time. so plenty of time to save up. and also 3 words get a job ;)

and if this map is correct, and i have looked at it right, there is a trian station right next to the lonodon apollo

25 Signs You've Grown Up

1. Your house plants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them. 2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question. 3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge. 4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed. 5. You hear your favorite song on an elevator. 6. You watch the Weather Channel. 7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of hook up and break up. 8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14. 9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up." 10. You're the one calling the police because those darn kids next door won't turn down the stereo. 11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you. 12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore. 13. Your car insurance goes down and your payments go up. 14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonalds leftovers. 15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt. 16. You no longer take naps from noon to 6 PM. 17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one. 18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle, your stomach. 19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests. 20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff." 21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time. 22. "I just can't drink the way I used to," replaces, "I'm never going to drink that much again." 23. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work. 24. You no longer drink at home to save money before going to a bar. 25. You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you.

I've devised a system to totally revolutionise music.

I've decimalised it. Instead of the octave, it's the decadive. And I've invented two new notes - H and J.

Now it goes, "DOH RAY ME FAH SOH LAH WOH BOH TEE DOH. DOH TEE BOH WOH LAH SOH FAH ME RAY DOH".

It'll be whole new sound. All the instruments will be extra big to incorporate my two new notes. Triangles will have four sides, piano keyboards the length of zebra crossings. Course, women will have to be banned from playing the cello.
