YMob,
Technically, there are just as many pentatonics as there are scales (they don't all work out though)...
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 = major (ionian)
1 2 3 5 6 = major (ionian) pentatonic
2 3 4 5 6 7 1 = dorian
2 3 5 6 1 = dorian pentatonic
etc. etc.
6 7 1 2 3 4 5 = natural minor
6 1 2 3 5 = minor pentatonic
You can also do this with other "modal" scales (modes of melodic minor, etc.)

Jelly Man,
I think I got that joke... (I think therefore I am...?)
Anyway...
Someone mentioned a cannibal joke.
Two explorers are... well... ummm... they're exploring. Ya know, the jungle. They're exploring the jungle when they come upon a hostile society of cannabalistic tribesmen! (Oh no!) They are taken prisoner, and are put inside a huge cauldron. There is water inside, and the cauldron is moved over a blazing fire.
"They're going to cook us and eat us!" says the first explorer.
"Gahhhhhh!!!" screams the second.
The water is getting hotter and hotter, and the cannibals laugh at them. The tribesmen add carrots, and lettuce, and vatious other vegetables and seasonings... they even add those little worms that are delicacies in Africa.
Anyways, the water = hotter and hotter and HOTTER....
Until, one explorer bursts into laughter (?)
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I just peed in their soup!!!!

Man, T2J'ers, the fact that my mom is actually watching that Joan Rivers junk only aggravates the situation...

Good things about the grammies:
James Taylor (let's face it, he's awesome)
Simon and Garfunkel (it's been, like, 30 years since they've played together! or so i've been told... : ) )
How 'bout it people? Let's put together a "good things" list and see how DISAPPOINTINGLY SMALL IT REMAINS!!!
Add your own fav things to this list (hmmm... copy/paste?)
Let's not worry about adding Joe's Starry Night playtime on, that's a given...

JS Clone 1,
The runs... yeah... that was weird song to record.
I wanted a piccolo bass sound, but I don't have a piccolo bass, so I recorded the backing track, overdubbed at half speed... This way, when I put the backing track back at regular speed, the lead was an octave up.
Worry not, I can go through runs at that speed, but it just didn't sound right in the low octave...
Anyway, the "picky" sound is mostly the sped up fret buzz (GOTTA have fret buzz!)
There were a few places where it kinda took over (like where I do the harmonic minor arpeggio in the bridge) and sounded real clacky, but I'm pleased w/ the overall octave sound.

Yah, I know whatchya mean for guitar...
If it's buzzing on guitar, that's just too much...
Bass, though, if you can make it work, it'll sound natural and sweet.

Hey all, just thought I'd share some info I got... I'm real happy for this guy... Anyway, a guitarist I played w/ at a local club is on tour, and he's been through 18 states in the past 2 months alone!!! This guy is awesome! He's Sam Orozco in case anyone sees him around in their area. Also, (best part), since we jammed a coupla times, he really liked what he saw, and will be offering me $100/night to go and play with him! I'm real excited about this, especially since this is for real! We should all be so lucky to be able to tour around the nation for our first trip out of state!
Go Sam!!! You rock ! ! ! ! !

Man, music is so awesome...
Where else can you do what you love and make (potentially, if this works out) upwards of $300 per week for less than 10 hours work, doing something you absolutely love? Sorry about the double post, I'm all hyped up about the future :) !!!!!
