Hi there, it's been a while since my last posting here, so maybe a brief introduction? Well, I'm 28 years old and live in Rotterdam, Holland. Been a big fan of Joe's since I saw the '91 Guitar Legends festival in Sevilla on TV. Have all the albums by the way. In case anyone here remembers, I was the one who suggested the Banana Mango flavored guitar picks maybe 2 years (?) back... Whatever happened to that idea?
I have a question for you all, undoubtedly being one of the few fans who don't play the guitar themselves... The situation is that I would very much like to learn to play the guitar; but what gear should I buy?
Personally I really like the following guitars; Ibanez JS, Ibanez Jem and the Burns Red Special Brian May signature (in three tone sunburst that is). But, these are all fairly expensive. Not that I don't have the money, but what if it turns out I have no talent for playing guitar.... :) Should I just buy a cheap Squire Strat? And that's just the guitar; what about amps?
Please help me out here, any advice is welcome!

Akiko, Greg M,
Cozy Powell sadly died in a car accident in 1998, shortly after completing Brian May's "Another World" album. There was a special tribute CD single brought out of the track "Business", which features some kind words by Brian May. Cozy Rocks!!!

Hey, too bad I'll have to miss out on the autographed CD/DVD because the Sony/Epic web site doesn't ship internationally... :( One question about the DVD; is there a PAL version coming out for Europe??? Please don't forget us European fans!!! Hope to see you soon in concert here Joe. Greetings from Holland.

Great new site! Can't wait to hear some sounds from the new album... I miss the option on the homepage to go directly to this talk to joe section, the pull down menu on the old site was very handy... And I'd love to see an update of Joe's guitars, the overview in the vault is hoplessly outdated...

Hi Joe. Did you see what Brian May has to say about your Hyde Park show on his "soapbox" today? He says "there will never be a better guitarist than Joe Satriani"... What a nice compliment isn't it!
Check it out:
