I can't wait to hear your new album!!! I'm waiting till the release date with great anticipation!!!
As your site has asked, I've been calling my local rock radio station and requested "Starry Night" on several occassions.
Look man, my radio channel can BITE IT! They'll play tons of crap and the minute you call and ask them to play your stuff - they get an attitude!! That really blows!
So... I'm gonna need some help! I'm still calling them but I think they know my voice now and could care less what I think.
They are called 94.5 KATS www.katsfm.com.
But, I'll keep trying - just lookin' for some help!
By the way, I'm totally stoked to check out your show in L.A. (I scored 12th row seats (row L/sec A) when this show went on sale) at the Greek Theatre on Aug. 10th!! I have to drive about 1,200 miles or so - but I would have driven further!! Too bad your not coming to The Gorge here in Washington. It's a beautiful venue!

I'm extending an early Birthday wish to the man! Have a good one, Joe! My Monday's get absolutely crazy and I didn't wanna forget! Looking forward to 10.AUG show at the Greek in LA - just not looking forward to driving the 1200 miles it's gonna take to get there, but I'm more than sure it's gonna be worth it!

Joe's albums need to have a disclaimer for FIRST TIME listeners. One that suggests that a change of underwear be close at hand!
I haven't seen my Dad in some time, and we got together this weekend. He's the guy that really turned my interest to music and artists like Judas P., Led Z., Mozart & Triumvirat.
Well, this was my turn!
On the way out to breakfast - I say to my dad, I say "Dad!" Have you heard SATRIANI? He wasn't too sure.
Well, I just got the Live in SF - so I throw on what I thought would be a great cherry-popper (and growing favorite of mine), Strawberry Jam Delta-V!
I should have gone easy on him with like AWY-AWM, which I'm sure he might have recognized, or Love Thing or something, but no... I had to pull out all the stops!
As the song played, he began holding the CD like some sacred obelisk - completely AWE-STUCK! Satch, you should have seen the look on his face!
Now he knows why I'm driving 1,200 miles just to see your gig! I'm really hopin' that you bust out with "Secret Prayer"!
You really should come here to Washington State's Gorge Amphitheatre!!

Regarding Sat.Aug.10 @ Greek Theatre in LA.
Anybody in Section A/Row L???
Is the Greek Theatre cool? Never been there! It looks cool on their web-site (cool site too...,no not as cool as this) and it seems cool, but interested in sound quality - lighting - etc.
It's all about JOE!

I meant RASBERRY JAM! Had strawberry with my toast this morning -I guess you can see where I got confused! LOL.
I don't know what it is, but Crystal Planet has got to be merging into my most favored CD - OF ALL TIME!
And after just getting live in SF - the live renditions of those CP tunes are just unbelievable!!! Oh, they're all great - especially some that I haven't heard before like Devil's Slide, The Extremist and Until We Say Goodbye!
My buddy hooked me up with the SWTA Tab and I'm lovin' it!! I just gotta find me one for CP!
I'm hoping that Satch has some tour hats, like the kind he always wears - like the one pictured on the Additional Creations cd. Gotta have one!

13 days!!! Satch @ Greek Theatre in LA- AUG. 10th!! 12th row(row L)/ Sec. A!! I'm stoked!! Can't wait!! One long drive from Washington State!
I'm really hoping to hear the following jams live: Rasberry Jam, Up in the Sky, Time Machine, Rubina, Speed of Light - oh yes and of course - Mind Storm (whatta riff!)

If you need a guitar tech, let me know!

Finally!! Tomorrow at the Greek Theatre in L.A! I'm very fired up! I just arrived in Sacramento and it was one hell-acious drive! 12 1/2 hours just to get here and probably another 6 or 7 to get to L.A. I just got off the horn with GT Administration office and, after inquiring, they said that there's no indication of an autograph signing. I hope that this isn't true. Since some of us weren't lucky enough to hook up with ASP's, an autograph signing would kick a**! Joe, this would rock! Nonetheless, I do hope you come around to Washington State, preferably The Gorge! I hope you play UP IN THE SKY tomorrow night! Best of luck with this tour and those to come!

StuBoo - From the Yakima Avenue exit off I-82, taking 97 South to Weed (uh.. he said weed) then I5 down to Sacramento and now parked in my friends driveway, my trip-tac shows 698 miles. Some of those towns in Oregon have speed limits of like 30 to 20 with an average speed limit of about 60 - 65. And, yes - I did do the speed limit. I didn't want anything stopping me from seeing this show... as much as I would have loved to floor it! You must have been haulin' some serious a** because I took only 1, 10 minute break at rest stop outside of Klamath Falls - and spent a few moments with my lady gazing at those amazing stars in the middle of frickin' nowhere! Such beauty! There were as many falling stars as there were little 'bambi's poppin' out of the woods! Plus, I had never taken 97 all the way thru Oregon State before. It was spooky! But I have made it from Seattle to San Diego in 24 hours... :) via I5 South.
Can't wait for the show! Probably leaving around 6 or 7 AM to LA.

JSW - thanx for that link on checkin' out Satch's Interview the that Bone radio station, or sumthun - that dude that was interviewing, I swear, he was askin' Joe questions I - more than likely, would have asked him if I had the chance.
God - I'm prayin' that your good graces permit our attendance of this live spectactle - that everything surrounding this show happens to Joe's liking - and that everyone attending stays safe and just has a kick-butt time! AMEN!
Joe - ...AUTOGRAPH SIGNING WOULD ROCK! Hook us up, bro! And rock all of CRYSTAL PLANET! I hope you have a good time at your gig tonight and don't be afraid to play an extra half hour or hour.. ya know??!! We won't mind at all!

Just returned to work from my vacation after checking out your performance at The Greek Theatre in LA. Very long drive but worth it! Despite the fact I was anticipating a 2 1/2 hour show as you stated you had with your interview on The Bone 107.7 SF - slightly bummed but still a great show! Very sorry that crowed sucked-ass (and don't tell me it didn't) but as I said in my review - come to The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State! You'll see a real crowd! One that stands on their feet the whole show and the kind you just can't turn away from when the echo's of 20K+ ring from the canyons around you! I thought LA would be where it's at - truth is it's a joke!! The Gorge still Rules!

"An Evening with Joe Satriani!" No Dream Theatre, nobody else except Joe and the band (bring back Stu-meistro and Eric C./ but hey... Gaylen & Matt do rock though!). Hit the Gorge Amphitheatre in The EverGREEN State and crank it F'N LOUD!!! Wake up the wind-surfers in the Columbia River Gorge just behind the stage!! An all GA (General Adminission) show!! Am I dreaming?? Maybe, but it sure sounds like a good idea to me!! CRYSTAL PLANET & LIVE in SF are the greatest! Thanks for the show in LA @ The Greek this year!

Who the &^$# is Flaming Lips? And what actually determines the Grammy Winner? Or Who, rather?
What's really ironic? The questions with reference to Carlos Santana. Santana's Grammy-winning work took a dive and would never be part of my catolog. However, his music which he goes most unrecognized for is the real SUPERNATUAL stuff!!
As far as I'm concerned whoever made the Grammy Winning decision more than likely never heard "Starry Night"! And with further concern - those grammy SOB's can slap their Flaming Lips on my A$$!
Nonetheless - this doesn't change the fact that YOU (SATCH) ARE THE BEST!!
But, Satch. If you DO decide to pair-up with a vocalist - check out this band line-up for an idea: Satch, Vai, Stu (or Les), Neil P. and the Ozzman!

Joe-man!! How are you!?? I hope all is well. Hey look - it's been since October that I got to check out your G3 show w/Yngwie and Steve, where I had the good fortune of getting to meet you, and Steve and especially CAMP-TOWN! I was amazed that you took the time to meet with everyone, and exchanging words with you for a brief 5-10 minutes was an experience I will never forget!
Well, I'm here in Bangalore, India - and guess what, you have quite a fan base here... well - you do now!!
You see, I brought my Electric Joe Anthology - and there's this bar called The Tavern - located at The Museum Inn Hotel, and these guys just love their rock and roll!! I mean, I just couldn't believe to here them just BLASTING their Pink Floyd and Scorps and all that, and I'm like - hey have you heard of JOE? And these guys are like, Yeah, I've heard some Surfing and stuff, but that's about it! So I give these guys your disc and I'm like - hey - Hit "SLICK" and "CEREMONY" and "CRYSTAL PLANET".
The look on all of these Indians (and Hindi's and even some UK and Brazilian folks, some of who actually heard of you but most of who hadn't) and their expressions were just frickin' PRICELESS!!
After they heard that I got to meet you, they just couldn't believe it.
Bryan Adams played here at the Palace Grounds here in Bangalore - 30K people. Good show, and I'm being very generous! Nothing against Brian, but if you played here - THIS COUNTRY WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME!!
Joe, they love you here and everyone who I've shared "JOE" with has been totally AWESTRUCK!
In fact, I've began writing a song called "AWESTRUCK" just from how impacted they were to EXPERIENCE your music!
Joe, you rock!
I hope I get to meet you again and I hope you get a chance to see and perform in front of your fans over here, because they would cherish it!
Cheers, Joe - keep on rockin' and by the way, SLICK has hit the top of my list along songs like "WHY" and "CRYSTAL PLANET".

I'm looking forward to seeing some of your pictures taken from the show in Bangalore!
I was able to see 2 concerts at The Palance Grounds when I was there last year.
Sucks there wasn't any shows that I would have much rather have seen, but the experience was amazing!
40K strong - I couldn't imagine how that would have sounded out there!
I'm sure it was just a blast for you! Except the long-ass flight there and back home!
