Just got the final batch (I think) of G3 pictures from Mari. I'll upload them tomorrow. There are some truly great shots of Steve and Joe in there, as well as some funny ones from the aftershow bar hanging. ;)

G'nite everybody, have a safe 4th of July evening...

Great pictures from G3 Sweden can be found here

Mari, if you want I could make a website for your "tourist" pictures as well... just let me know. ;)

Congratulations Greece! You're well worth the cup! Alexandre, I feel sorry for you, but there's always next time. Take care!

Dave Weiner has updated his website and put up a link to his official forum! Go to daveweiner.com and check it out. Seems he spends quite some time on there too. :)

I can't get Got Da Blues by Dave Martone out of my head... it rocks so bad.

ovation AMEN! :)

supaadave Emily is nice, although I like Emma better. My fav names are Rebecca (or Rebecka in Sweden) and Eleonora for a girl, and Benjamin and Nikodemus for a boy. Not exactly traditional American names, but then I'm not exactly a traditional American either. ;-P

Word of the Day: ABUNDANCE

Feel the joy! :)

This is my latest made cd... loving it to pieces at the moment...

1. I'll Be There For You - Bon Jovi
2. When You Come - Crowded House
3. Got Da Blues - Dave Martone
4. Manhattan - Eric Johnson
5. Jewish princess - Frank Zappa
6. The Attitude Song - Steve Vai
7. Code Red - Dave Martone
8. The Hurt Inside - Gary Moore
9. Time Machine - Joe Satriani
10. Tinsel Town Rebellion - Frank Zappa
11. Talk to Your Daughter - Robben Ford
12. Rain - Eric Johnson
13. Die To Live - Steve Vai
14. Misfits - Steve Vai
15. Isabella - Ulf Lundell (Swedish artist)

it's weird... every time I think I've made a really diverse record... I look at the setlist and realise it's dominated by a few artists... lol... does it happen to you too? That's pretty good credit to these artists. They have a song for every emotion...

The Prez Actually there are two Zappa songs, Jewish Princess and Tinsel Town Rebellion... and all the songs are from my own records. No downloading.

Ben I agree, that song is simply outstanding. The lyrics are really good and the harmonies are cool.

Austin Thanks. Why don't you post one of your favorite mix cds? I'd like to see it.

michelle Great news! I'll be checking my mailbox! Yay!

Austin Thanks for the cd lists. I don't have all of Joe's albums though... so I can't try it out. :( Not yet anyway.

If I buy a new album I listen to it from start to finish until I find my favorites, then I usually skip to those straight away. But every now and then I listen to the whole album too. Nowadays it's rare I listen to a whole album though. I usually select my favs and put them on my own cds. :)

tetovo You're welcome! You look happy in that picture with Joe. :)

Austin Let's just say I have 7 of Joe's albums... I need all the rest lol. The ones I have are SBM, CP, TM, TE, FIABD, SWTA, D#11.

Watching Superman on the tele right now... it's a sweet story. :) I didn't even remember Marlon Brando was in it, cool.

I've been watching 9-ball Pool Championships on Sky Sports all day... great entertainment. Any of you brits watching?

Let's see, where to start...? Flashers, Martha Stewart, cookies, anniversaries and jerking off in court... sounds like a new song to me! lol!

When I got home I'd received an e-mail from Vanessa, who apparently knows me very well since she sent me a letter titled: "Lucky buddy - see me playing with my rectum". I mean, who can resist such an invitation... especially from another girl. LMAO!

Swedish television has gone nuts - starting now and twelve hours on they're having a hard rock marathon! All night (it's 9pm now) until 9am tomorrow they'll be showing live concerts and documentaries with bands like Deep Purple, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, Motörhead and so on. It's great! I'm missing Kiss, Ozzy, Led Zep and a few others though... :( BUT I guess you shouldn't complain when they finally get their thumbs out...

ovation So sorry to hear about your father-in-law. From your post it seems he finally got to rest, even though he will be missed. Remember we're here for ya' if you need to talk about it. :) And thank you for the good luck wishes, unfortunately he lost the semifinal 9-11, but it's still his greatest achievement in pool so far, so I think he'll appreciate it later on. :)

michelle I had a spider encounter last night that I'd rather not had... it was rather late, nearly 2am, and I'm going to brush my teeth and go to bed. Stepping into the bathroom and turning on the light, I automatically screen the floor for *unwelcome things* (I always do that lol). I enter, but something feels wrong, and when I turn around I see this big spider right by the threshold. It was about two inches across, which is big after swedish standards anyway lol. So I trapped it in a glass and slid a paper underneath and lifted it up, but the paper wasn't strecthed enough so it slid out down to the floor in the hallway. I was VERY quick turning on the light there I tell ya'! lol! I managed to trap it again and turned the glass upside down with the paper on top and QUICKLY carried it out on the balcony and threw it out. PHEW! Good luck going to sleep after that... *shudder*

mowlie Good luck in Germany!

michelle I have two Disney favorites, Robin Hood and Fantasia. Or both of Fantasia actually, so it's three favorites. ;) I have listened to Dave's cd once and I like it, but I'll have to listen to it a few times more to really get an opinion. I really like Tourmaline though, I'm a sucker for acoustic. :)

SOTD - None, really. I'm going for silence today. :)

Quote of the Day: "3 of 5 people suffer from migraines. Does that mean 2 of 5 enjoy them?" (I have migraines, and I had this quote on my desk for several years, to the amusement of my co-workers.)

novjul Luckily I don't have the type of migraines that demands you lie down for a day or two in a dark room. I can reduce my headache to a minimum by using ordinary aspirin. What I can't take away is the nausea and over-sensitiveness to light, smells and especially sounds. My whole body feels affected, not just my head.

The attacks are related to my hormones, so instead of having a 10point migraine for a whole day, completely whacked out, I have more or less a full week with migraines ranging between 6-9points on a scale to ten. I don't know which is worst, but I sometimes wish I'd have just one day in total hell and then I'd be free for another month, instead of one whole week. That week is bad enough in itself! lol! The curse of a woman...

joeman Glad to hear you're ok. Hope you like the hat lol.

jazzy Sorry to hear that. I guess there are as many false women as there are men... Just try to be true to yourself and honest to others and it will pay off in the long run. It's easier said than done but I do believe in it (I HAVE to believe in it - why else would I have been more or less single these last 8 years? LOL - There's just no other explanation!)

mari Pictures from Jolo? Great! Can't wait to see them! :)

alexandre I'm sorry for your loss. At least his music will live forever. Take care!

ovation Glad to see you back! As 962 just said, it sounds like a beautiful tradition, I wish we had something like it here. Keep on rocking...

michelle That's freaky with your mom's accident, good to hear they're all right! You'd think that missionaries from God should know how to drive better lol. Perhaps they get more careless because they *know* they're going to the right place if they die! lol!

jazzy Seems like she's taking you a lot for granted if she doesn't really appreciate what you do for her. Does she do the same things for you, or letting you know she's grateful for it? If not... well, it's hard to leave someone you love, but it's no good for your self esteem staying with someone who doesn't appreciate you. Sorry if I'm sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, just trying to help. :)

A separate post for this:

Steve Vai's band is doing a radio appearance in Melbourne Sunday morning and you can listen to the webcast here . I have no idea what time it will be in the States, but there's a clock on the site so maybe you can figure it out anyway. In Sweden it will go on air at 6pm tonight, so it's 5pm for those living in England.

jazzy Sure, no problem. Maybe she's jealous of you spending your time here with your friends, and she's trying to get your attention. ;) But seriously, if she doesn't appreciate what you do for her and hangs out with other guys, it's not worth it... harsh, but true. :-/

mari You're gonna see Robben Ford?! Aww, I'm soooo jealous! I love that guy! Can't you tell him to come to Stockholm again? Please, please.... :) Thanks for the pics, by the way. As usual I look like a moron lol! I'll reply to that e-mail soon.

Hi there Satchaholics! Hope all of you have had a nice weekend! Tomorrow I head back to work after three weeks of vacation, which sucks, but not as much as I thought it would. Only problem is I'll be on a more permanent vacation from September 1st if I don't find another job quick! lol! I've got a thing in pipeline though and hopefully I get it sorted within a few weeks...

alexandre Hope you're feeling better soon! :)

ovation Have you seen or heard of a movie called Spirited Away? It's a Japanese animated movie about the girl Chihiro who has to work for a witch in order to save her parents. I've seen it twice and it's soooooooo beautiful... I love it!

michelle Congrats on the new car! Maybe you could call it Lima Bean lol! Sorry I haven't written you back, it's been quite busy over here! The Pride festival was just in town and I watched their parade yesterday, it’s usually pretty fun. You’re bound to think at least twice: “What on earth is he wearing? And in that color?” or “Err… nice non-clothing…” LOL! But it wasn't as much nudity as last year, hardly any topless at all. Last year it was A LOT topless and even one or two naked guys lol! It was especially funny last year b/c we had an elderly couple from the US here as visitors, and we were curious how they would react. They didn't seem to mind it that much, although the wife later told me that she'd been afraid to take pictures because she feared her camera might have broken! LMAO! They were very cute. :)
