Hello Joe! Your new album is very good (a set of catchy melodies beautifully played both technically and emotionally). However, there are some buts. First of all, it doesn't break the new ground. It reminds me "Crystal Planet" (actually it's much better). You seemed to forget about music experimentation both on the level of individual songs and the whole album. First of all, why don't you explore the technique of tapping? I really miss new songs in the imagery of "Midnight" or "The Headless Horseman". Finally, why didn't you try something comepletely new? Rock ('n' Roll) is maybe not dead but certainly a little bit exhausted. My suggestions are jazz and funk. You haven't tried it yet. Actually, my favourite song from your last album is "Hill Groove". It has got some funky touches and outstandind bass feeling. Other amazing moments in the album: "Belly Dancer" (the ending - blood-boiling!); "Chords of Life" (the ambience is interesting); "Mountain Song" (the rhythm); "New Last Jam" (it'll be surely played many times as a music backgroud of extreme sports' videoclips - simply mind-blowing); "Oriental Melody" (enticing because of its orientalism); "The Journey" (that's why rock isn't fully exhausted);"What Breaks a Heart" (your high-pitched solo does it); "You Saved My Life" (actually my brother's life because he listens to this song almost all the time). Obviously, you can ignore this blah blah blah but that's what I really think about your last album. Take care and fly in a blue dream permanently, RaV :-)

Hello,

I got inspired by one of Joe's new songs. This Japanese genre is called haibun. Joe, thanks for this inspiration. Greetings from Poland,

RaV

PS Lots of people here would like to see your concert. Have you ever been to Cracow?...
