Austin: Badass that you got to meet Joe...I'm hoping to be able to get backstage this fall, because if not I'm gonna be peee-ossed!
Quito: Happy Bday!
michelle: amen on the whole gay thing.

JS_JS: Sorry if I said 189...I mean to say 18, which is how long he's been in the business as far as most people in the US are concerned. Anyway, like I said, I was just being an ass and pointing that out to you. About the whole gay thing, again, maybe nobody in your family was born with it because you're a bunch of bible-thumping, holier than thou Christians. You can say what you like, but I'm sorry you don't just one day wake up and say..."you know what I'm gonna be gay from now on," or "you know what I don't wanna be gay anymore." It's not something you can just change. You can deny it all you want, but it'll never change. I have a question for you...have you ever had a friendly relationship with a gay person or do you just go by what your family and your church tell you, that it's wrong? If you had talked to someone who's gay for more than 2 minutes you'd realize that other than sexual preference, they're no diffedrent than you or me. Do you think that Caesar went to hell because he was less of a person? Over 50% of the Greek population at that time was bisexual, so did they all get sent to Hell when they died? Doubtful. And others made comments to you regarding your racist behavior precisely due to comments like "faggot lovers" and "tree hugging hypocrites." Hopefully one day you'll grow up and open your eyes to the rest of the world. Do the world a favor and don't be like the guy on campus every day who screams that everyone who's gay, Jewish, Muslim, has sex before marriage, looks at pornography, wears low-cut shirts, etc. is going to Hell. Too bad it seems as if that's where you're heading.

Sorry bout the double post but I didn't want this mixed in with the other stuff. I have a theory for why people "don't like" ITLIS...everyone hears about a new Satch album and is thrilled. I personally expect at least one song on each album to just completely blow me away. That song just isn't there on this one. After my 12th listen to the entire album in the last 3 days, I definitely have found my favorites, but there's nothing that just gives me the chills. It almost happened with Souls of Distortion played really loud, but the thing I enjoy the most on most Satch songs are those transitions from slow - fast or low - loud. I DO like the album now, but I'm just not IMPRESSED with anything on it. I think that a few of the guys on this board could have honestly written this album. Basically, we all just expect too much because of the incredible stuff that Joe's done before. Anyway, my favorites are going to have to be Up In Flames, If I Could Fly, Souls of Distortion, and ITLIS. There's nothing I DON'T like at all, but there are a few that I probably won't listen to much. Last note - too much unnecessary wah.
Please don't take this as "he doesn't like the album...what an ass" because I do. I'm just not that impressed with it compared to the rest of Satch's albums.

Joeman9: yeah I'm looking forward to it with just as much anxiety as relief. Everything in Spain will be very expensive since I plan to drink a bit while I'm there, and I have to start saving up as soon as I get home. If I can't find a job, I'm not gonna enjoy Spain or Brazil as much because I won't have the money to go out when I want, which was my main problem in Mexico. NOTE: (no, not Not of...;-) ) I realize I sound like a spoiled shit there, but I only had 500 bucks spending money in Mexico, for 6 weeks of staying there. Everything is NOT as cheap as everyone thinks...$1 for a beer was extremely cheap in the area where I was at, pizzas cost more than they do in Gainesville, etc.
Alexandre: Muito obrigado pelas palavras sobre o meu CD. Boa sorte nos exames...eu a tenho, tendo so 2 exames, um numa aula de futebol e a outra com professora que tenho tido mas de um ano ;-)
Greyfox88: Here's your answer about the origin of the guitar. That's the most reasonable comparison I've found (I'm currently researching for a book I'm considering writing)

JS_JS: OK let's just agree to disagree because you're never gonna see my point, either. My point is that there's nothing to justify. Does someone who's black have to justify being black? Not that I know of. Being gay is the same thing. It's something you are born with...would you want a mentally challenged kid to justify being mentally challenged? Doubtful. The argument might as well end here because you're always going to see it as something that "someone is doing wrong" and I am always just going to see it as a way of life. Oh well...not everyone is open to all walks of life.

Bil, somehow I'd actually make out pretty well with that whole slavery bit haha I agree...let's talk about naked women. I like that topic better.
Jon/webmeister: Great job...can't wait to hear those samples and keep us posted on the new chat! Master Yoda: Sorry to hear about your loss bro. Wish there was more I could say, but just know we're all here for ya.
Got my first sword today. It's more of a collector's item than a weapon. Pretty cool tho. This store was going out of business so my girlfriend bought it for me...only 20 bucks. Got a crown on the butt of the handle, skulls around the bottom, and a snake wrapped around the handle. The curved part of the handle is a mask with horns. Pix to come on my website in a few days, as Susan currently has my digicam.

Noppa: We pay depending where we buy. Circuit City or Best Buy will usually cost you between 10 and 14 bucks for new CD's, but places in the mall, Blockbuster, etc. are usually about 16-19. I, needless to say, do a lot of shopping online and in Best Buy.
Tastey: from the few pix I've seen, I'd say go with batting the eyelashes. That should work very nicely ;-)

Guys, I just had an ingenious idea...OK so you know those smoking patches? Well my invention essentially does the same thing...chemicals slowly pour into your body through the skin. Only mine are for stank ass mofos...you stick it right under your armpit and the chemicals soak in, mixing with what's already in your sweat glands to form a perfumed aroma. We could have CK1, Minotaure (personal favorite), 212, etc. Also works down below ;-)

Congrats to Master Yoda on the new job...WTG Mr. Yoda ;-)
JS_JS: It's just nothing spectacular, which is what I've come to expect from Joe. There's really nothing that I just put it on and when the song's over I'm just like "Wow that was a great song" if you know what I mean.

Bil: RE: naked women, So I've heard ;-)
Tastey: No, apparently it's not as easy as you'd think for some people...::holds nose::
962: did you have to pay for that email list or did it just kinda show up?
Satchblues: no offense to Joe, but the only comment I'm making is that I'm waiting until I go buy a pepsi and get a free tune to get Tumble. I just paid for the whole CD and don't think I should have to pay for 2 more songs. That's not saying I'll download the other one illegally, but still.

Jazzy Boy: get well soon...lots of injuries/illnesses lately...hope I get thru graduation OK.
LGU89: Well I'm finishing up at UF and I have to say the experience has been incredible. I'm sure you'll find that anywhere...you make it that way, but it was just so easy here. The only problem is that I wouldn't wanna live in Gainesville my whole life, but my 4 years here were great.
ALL: I'm still not that impressed with the new album, but there are a few songs that I'll listen to a lot, especially #'s 5 - 7
Dave (Phrydom): Mom got the CDs in the mail yesterday. Gonna have to wait til Monday to see them, but I'm looking forward to it! Thanks!

DelfinoPie: about gibson setup, you may wanna look at a Dean EVO or a Caddy. The cheap cheap EVO's go for 100 bucks, but you can get the best available for $450 or so. Caddys go for just under 200 to 1200 for the TC models. Contact Dave at bass-treble.com if you're interested...he's the resident dealer on the Dean boards and he'll give you the best price you'll find outside of ebay.

Austin: I'm about 30 pages behind in posts, but I just saw your review...I'll post a response to it sometime this week...this weekend may be a little too crazy...more on that to come.
ALL: Graduated this morning! This weekend's been insane...family got in yesterday and I hung out with my mom, dad, brother and his girlfriend (both 18). Went to dinner at about 6, which was VERY good...didn't even know they HAD good food in Gainesville haha. Then I just went home and passed out because I was tired from drinking massive amounts the night before. Woke up at 7 this morning to go to graduation, graduated, got home and people came over for lunch. Dinner's at 7:30, so we'll see how that goes because my girlfriend's mom's finally gonna meet my family (YIKES to say the least). PARTY tonight at my place since both my roommates are graduating (one grad school, one undergrad). Wake up tomorrow so people who are buying my furniture can buy it and then drive 4 hours home to Boca, by myself, with a car full of nearly everything I own. Susan (my girlfriend) and her sister are flying out to do some hospital mission work in Nicaragua on Monday so they'll be there for the night (this is also the first time her sis is meeting my family) and during the day tomorrow I have to start job hunting, even though I've applied to over 200 places online. I'm dreading the next few days. More to come as soon as I can find time.

Fretslayer: agreed about ITLIS being flashier. Sometimes I think Joe goes a bit overboard, but the album's still slowly growing on me.
Austin: They're both decent songs (Gnaahh and Bamboo), but not the type of thing I could listen to more than once a day.
knemesis: Recent UF grad here! (Last Sat actually) good to see some fellow Gators on T2J!

Alexandre: thanks for the congrats...started my new job today. It's just BS data entry, but for 10 bucks/hr to start, I'm not complaining too much. Hope that leg's feeling better.
michelle: Eating lunch today in my car, I saw a tiny spider just chillin' on my driver side mirror...I considered sending it to you to replace the big ones so you wouldn't be as scared, but ultimately decided against it ;-)
Dave: as I said in email, no worries about the CDs bro. Sony takes even longer most of the time anyway ;)
A HUGE congrats to Guitarded_Boy!

OK guys, I'm 1600 messages behind, so hoefully sometime this weekend I'll cut it down by about 1000...I could just start over and skip them all but where's the fun in that? ;) Update: Working 45 hrs/week and taking a class Tue and Thu 3 hours each day. Not a good idea when you want to have some sort of a life. Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well. I've missed you guys, but school has to come first.

Alexandre, thanks for the well wishes from about 2 weeks ago. Things have been crazy around here, so I'm roughly 4000 posts behind. I'm working on it tho ;)
Tastey: was gonna make a comment about you saying you wanted to be a virgin again, but it looks like Clarky took care for me...not a shock but still...haha

On that note, I'm single again. After a year and a half, it was just time. We had been arguing for the last 6 months on and off, and just decided to be friends instead of ending up hating each other...guess that's what it's like to end a real relationship...apparently this is the first one I've had lol.
DAVE (PhryDom): No problem on the waiting thing. Email me if the CD's aren't gonna be shipped by next week just because I'm moving and don't want them to end up coming here after I'm gone. More to come on the new place in my next post.
Just got Dr Vai's Live at Astoria...probably gonna watch it tonight. Review to come soon.
Any thoughts on the Chrysler Crossfire? I'm considering a Roadster Limited after I get back from Brazil (about 8 months from now) but don't know if I like it better than my Camaro. Opinions?

More random thoughts: I've been working 45 hours a week and taking a class, so sorry I haven't been around much. My girlfriend and I broke up about 2 weeks ago. I really like a girl I work with but she's got a boyfriend who she really cares about, so I'm working on not liking her...not exactly easy, though. I'm moving to a new apartment on the beach in about 3 weeks, which is really exciting, but I'm really depressed right now because we had to give my dog away (she left yesterday) because we couldn't have her in the new place. It's gonna be a real nice place...3 bedroom with the same square footage as our current 5 bedroom house. My parents' terrace overlooks the intracoastal as well as the ocean and mine overlooks just the intracoastal. No complaints other than the dog leaving. So, with no home (currently all boxed up because my mom's an anal freak when it comes to getting things done), no girlfriend, and no dog, and my brother leaving for college on Wednesday of this week, I've been trying to spend a lotta time with my brother and my friends. Thank G-d for TGIFridays and other area bars is all I have to say. Sorry about the useless rant but I really have nowhere else to go right now. Thanks for "listening."
