SKY_ANT: The jacket was 100 bucks at the WPB show as well, which is exactly why I didn't get to meet Joe and Steve...80 I would have considered, but I honestly didn't even like the jacket that much and would have ended up flea-baying it.

WOW ok 6 pages in a day...here we go.
I am definitely a fan of Jazz, as well as just about anything else...I've actually started listening to (a LITTLE) country lately because I like the whole slide guitar aspect of some of it.
Quito: Never seen the 3B thing before...I like it! ;) That Pessoa quote looks about right to me...I'm only in intermediate Portuguese tho and I'm actually studying Pessoa as well. Sounds interesting. Maybe I'll catch up on the last 2 weeks' reading sometime. NAH!

Yeah after this week I'll officially be broke and 700 bucks in the hole to dad for the Dean Hardtail...good thing I have my sports stuff on ebay because that should at least cover Vai and Satch's new anthologies and DVD's. Gotta pick up more stuff from home to sell during Thanksgiving...I think I'm gonna have to sell my sports autographs, too :*(

Quito: So tenho estudado o Portugues 2 anos, mas entendo muito porque tenho estudado o Espanhol 9 anos. Obviamente entendo muito melhor o Espanhol, mas estou tratando de entender melhor o Portuguese porque no programa de maestria que queiro fazar no ano que vem, se passa um semestre aqui, 3 meses na Espanha e um mes e meio no Brasil. Se nao posso falar antes disso, nao sei o que vou fazer porque acho que as aulas seram so em Portugues.

A sua Groovie Movie e umas cancoes dos outros do T2J sao o todo meu playlist agora...se queiro escutar outra coisa, e usualmente no meu carro. Ate Maio, estou estudando na Universidade da Florida. Estudo Espanhol como major e os meus minors sao Portugues e Administracao de Negocios. Espero uma carta de sim ou nao para uma escola chamado FAU, que tem uma programa de Negocios Internacionais. O programa e um semestre aqui e depois 3 meses na Espanha e um mes e meia no Brasil. Sobre a vida, sera muito melhor depois deste semestre lol.

And on that note, I'm with you, Michelle...so does Best Buy...they had only 2 copies of Joe's Anthology CD, no copies of the Satch Tapes DVD, and no copies of Vai's Anthology! I didn't bother buying the Anthology because my dad's getting it for me over thxgiving, which is always cool!
The Prez: I like Tenacious D because they actually write good music...it's hilarious of course, but I just like it in general. Double Team is one of the best in my opinion. My last girlfriend and most recent ex are completely non musical and love Satch (my influence of course). The guy who got me into Satch in the first place doesn't play either...he got to go to the G3 with Petrucci and that's how he got into Satch.

Temos estudado todos os famosos: Eca de Queiroz, Camoes, etc. O meu escritor favorito do tudos em Portugues e Paolo Coelho. Tenho sorte que na minha aula, o ensayo final e uma critica de qualquera obra, assim vou escrever sob "Veronika Decide Morrer" p'q e o mas reciente que tenho lido. Aqui tienes otro sitio que no tiene todos las canciones de Satch, pero los que tiene son generalmente buenos. Tenia otro que tenia casi todas sus canciones, pero no lo purdo encontrar. Buena suerte!

Next Guitar Hero: Tem muita gente na minha universidade que estudam o Portugues. Este ano tem um "major" em Portugues. A aula que estou asistindo agora e sobre a literatura brasileira, portuguesa, e africano com influencia lusofona. A que asistiu o semestre passado foi sobre os efectos da musica nos relacoes entre Estados Unidos da America e Brasil. Foi muito interessante. A minha universidade tem a biblioteca de estudos latinos (eles incluem Brasil nesta categoria) 2o mais grande da America! Assim, YES, many people here study Brazilian culture! ;)

Quito: Estudamos Carmen Miranda de dos lados. Num lado, temos uma grande cantor que faz danzas e outras coisas, mas no outro, temos um estereotipo do Brasil que nao e muito relacionado com a realidade. Ela causou que muita gente aqui pemsava que tuda mulher brasileira foi cantante e bailadora, mas nao e a verdade. Tambem ela era muito interessante p'q usava a roupa duma mulher negra, mais foi branca. Passavamos um mes enteiro estudando ela e foi muito interessante.

If I had to name just 10 favorite Satch songs, it'd have to be Love Thing, Cryin', Home, Mountain Song, You Saved My Life, Starry Night, A Train of Angels, Summer Song, I Believe, Midnight, FIABD, Always With Me Always With You. OK so I couldn't do it...there's just too many AWESOME songs by the MAN!

Tastey: It's cool...some guys actually do have emotions, and most musicians can be included in that statement. I haven't been here that long, but I'd say 75% of the guys who post here are musicians of some type, and we do tend to not necessarily BE emotional or affeminate, but we actually do SHOW a bit of emotion once in awhile ;)
