Dear Joe, Just wanted to thank you for making some beautiful music. I started playing guitar about a year and 3/4 ago. Trying VERY hard to learn Always With Me, Always With You, but it's not sounding too good lol. I really like SBM...after I bought that, I actually went out and bought Time Pieces, Crystal Planet, Joe Satriani, The Extremist, and Surfing With the Alien...needless to say I'm a fan, considering this was all in the last week lol. I was a huge fan before I bought the CD but (shame on me) I had most of the songs on my computer. I'm going to see you at HOB Orlando on August 23rd...PLEASE, if nothing else, play Love Thing and Always With Me... They're my favorite two songs by anybody EVER! I can't wait for the concert! Thanks again for helping me through going from being engaged to not being able to talk to the person ever again, within two weeks. Your CD's have really saved me a lot of pain. Alan

Dear Joe, I realize this may seem a bit rediculous, but it would mean the world to me if you would play Love Thing twice at the concert this Friday in Orlando at HOB. I was recently dumped by my fiancee of 1 year and that song was the one thing that, above all but my family, got me through the past month and a half. Me and my best friend will be at that concert and I know we'll enjoy every second of it. I'm not asking for backstage passes, one of your guitars, your autograph, etc., but it really would mean a LOT if you could play that song twice so that I could just completely soak it in. Thanks in advance and if you don't I'll understand...you can't make everyone happy all the time. I'll be thrilled just to be there. Thanks, Alan Schwartzseid University of Florida student and HUGE Satch fan

Hello all. Just joined back up here. Just thought I'd say that, as I'm sure everyone here is, I'm a huge Satch fan. Started playing guitar almost 3 years ago and about 6 months later I heard some of his stuff. Needless to say, he's my favorite to play as well as listen to. I gotta agree about Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters, but I thought he only played with Queens of the Stone Age on that one song?! Anyway, Just thought I'd (very) briefly inroduce myself. Alan

CHRISTIE - I'm gonna say go with Flying In A Blue Dream (my personal favorite) but the others have a good point...the Live in San Fran would be another good choice to let you know what else Joe's got out there. I think there's something for just about everyone on that CD, Satch fans or not. Alan

I was just wondering how the presale works for tix to the WPB show? I really want to go and I had an awesome time standing up front last year at HOB Orlando (I'll be there again, but regardless, I wanna make sure to get the best seat possible). I know HOB is standing only for the most part, but the Kravis Center is only seated from what I know. Anyone know how to preorder tix before the 12th? Thanks for any help you can offer. Alan

Me and my damn luck! Well for the next tour, how would I have done it if I had been smart enough to do it in time? Thanks. Alan

Do the Stu - thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

For the opener, I gotta go with Flying in a Blue Dream. There's no better opener than that.

OK now here's devotion...I'm on my way to class and while I'm there I'll be using my wireless connection to get tickets for the WPB concert since I missed the presale. DAMN I can't wait for these 2 shows! Alan

DO THE STU: Well, I got lucky...dad was nice enough to go online for me. For the WPB show, I got row AA seats 1 and 3! I CAN'T WAIT! The only problem is that since he was nice enough to give them to me as an early Channukkah present, he asked me not to go to the one in Orlando. Although I'd love to see Joe twice in one weekend, it'll be nice to spend some time with the family in Boca (the reason Dad asked me not to go to Orlando). What a weird day...I wake up and read about Johnny Cash and John Ritter, get to class and get great seats, have an easy day at work, and end up buying tix outside the Sister Hazel concert and end up backstage for the second time at one of their concerts...it was great other than when I first woke up, but that kinda still stayed with me throughout the day Alan

Do the Stu: This will be my second Joe concert. Saw him basically front row last year at HOB Orlando (snuck up front to get closer and ended up just to the side of the stage). I have been a huge fan since I started playing guitar and getting into more instrumental music. I wish this year was Joe, Vai, and Eric Johnson (my favorites net to Joe), but I already have that concert on DVD lol. Looking forward to this concert. Alan <-- still amped about meeting Sister Hazel again

Steph: did you mean the song by Eric Johnson? If so the best version in my opinion is the G3 version. It's also on his CD Venus Isle. Hope that helps. Alan

Wow, guys...I'm already confused ; ) BTW, anyone on here from Gainesville or Boca Raton areas? Just curious because I'd like to meet some people from the board...it makes ya feel like more of a family than an online bulletin board! I met a bunch of people from the Dean Boards this past February and it was the coolest meeting I've ever been to. Just a thought. Alan

OK I've tried this elsewhere but to no avail...anyone know of a cheap (under 300 bucks) way to input a 1/4" (guitar) cable into your computer? I've tried going thru my amp (it's a small 8" Squier POS) and coming back thru with a guitar cable and converting that to mini cable, but it comes out sounding lie crap (which I expected). There's something at Best Buy that'll let you do it but it's about $130 and for that much I'd just assume spend more money and get something made for guitar specifically. I don't have a MIDI input in my laptop...just looking for something that I can plug my guitar into direct or thru my amp that'll sound decent with either firewire or USB connection to my computer. Any suggestions? I've thought about the multi FX processors that do it but not sure if any of them are worth the money. Thanks for any help you guys can offer. Alan

Zachary: CONGRATS! That's cool as hell that Joe's gonna try it out! ToneCapone:Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm very lucky to still have all 4. lgSTU89: Tough choice. Either "Wish You Were Here" or "Is There Anybody Out There" but it's probably because they're 2 of my favorites to play.

I've been trying to get thru for a half hour...no go. It's 1am here, so I'm gonna be passing out soon, but I couldn't NOT listen knowing that I might not get to hear it again. If anyone gets thru, say hi from T2J!
