I don't check here as often as I'd like, but am I the only person who caught Rockline last Wednesday night (3/12/03)? Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas played live from San Franciso most of the night, but right near the end of the show, there was a jam that included Neal Schonn of Journey, Michael Anthony of Van Halen, and the smoking axework of Joe Satriani. I caught this over the roar of the machines where I work, so I didn't quite catch the name of the of the project. Project US? I dunno.
So I guess my question is this... Joe, whussup? Sammy has been a mainstay of mine since his Montrose days. Neal and Mike are legandary in their own respect, and I've followed them for just about as long. Then word comes of a Bay Area project that includes you as well..., dude, when's the tour?
Don't get me wrong, the G-3 shows rocked, and an Evening with Joe is an event unto itself, but this is the first honest-to-God mega-band of the 21st Century! So whatcha say,got any details? I'm dyin' here! Peace! - Locutus

Hey Joe! I just wanted to say that I was surprised to find you as a guest on the Bob & Tom Show this morning! I start my day with them religiously, and I think the world of their radio show. So imagine my delight when they said they had you in the studio with them and that you would be performing live! I was as impressed with the interview as I always am with your playing. You are by far my favorite musician, and I would count anyone who associates with you on a regular basis extremely lucky. My wife and I met you and Stu during the Crystal Planet tour in Kalamazoo, and I was dumbfounded at what a positive attitude you guys had with the fans both during and after the show. You rock both as a performers and people and that's a rare commodity these days! Anyway, thanks for being a guest on my favorite morning show, and primarily for being who and what you are. You are an inspiration to anyone chasing the dream! :)))) Sincerely, Ted
