rich, hate to disappoint anyone, but i didn't write that backing track to that last demo...it was kinda just me improvising over a guitar port backing track to see what kind of blues I could find in me...I apologize for not being more clear about it. thanks again for listening though...perhaps I can construct my own progression around the melody...to me it sounded a bit too "starry night" esque...

music...form of expression...what is one persons garbage is another person's treasure...and hah pop music...yah...mindless...all the way to the bank...just because it's not musically as proficient or technically as proficient as some ppl can be does not mean it's mindless. ever hear that statment kiss...keep it simple stupid...pop music is mindful of a time..that's about it...but it attracts listeneres and is doing part of what music's job is...to entertain someone...whether it's yourself...or someone else...

rich...thank you very much for that post...it really is cool that you pick that out in my playing...and very flattering...and you really hit the nail on the head on what i like to play in a sense...i don't base anythign i write/play solely off of technique just for the sake of using a lick...there are a lot of techniques i have used that have yet to throw into a song...mainly cause it doesn't fit...it's just...showign off i suppose if i were to do it. i'm not a fan of that...i'm a blues driven player...soul and melody...

joe is probably home for the summer...i'd say after the past few years he's had (which were quite productive)...he deserves to spend some time with his family and all...im sure hes still workign on and all too...wouldnt be surprised to hear news of a new g3 either...who knows!

i wish this place would stop being a huge guitar/songwriting competition. i think every single last one of you players on here have something special...why sit there and focus totally on criticism...
and as far a rich (js clone's) playing...he smokes. one of the best natural ears i have ever had to priveledge in seeing at work...i remember hearing him back in the day, and the way he plays now, is monstrous. rich is quite an excellent player...i think he just needs to find some confidence in himself...
