During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the
Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be
institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to
empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you
want a bed near the window?"

Hey everyone . . .
We had a death in the family last week.
Not feeling up to much posting lately, just at odd times when I have time.
If anyone wants to drop a note - email me. I may not be checking the T2Joe board a lot.
Things get put into perspective at times like this.
Just didn't want anyone to think I disappeared - I will be around, just in a more limited role.
Will see you soon.

Thank you for the kind words (posts). Every little bit helps.
There are so many good posts I haven't felt like posting / sharing. Some I have saved, others will be gone for ever.
I am still about - just re-evaluting life as I continue my journey through it.

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I had one great aunt pass away from cancer a few years back, now my other great aunt is slowly going. And on top of it, my uncle has stomach and colon cancer (surgery for both last week) - he is in bad shape.
I know how you feel - but go visit your aunt. It may help her to know that everyone still cares and it is good for you as well. As we all get older ( I am not that old ) we learn how precious life is and that each moment is important

Life
To realize
The value of a sister
Ask someone
who doesn't have one
To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
divorced couple.
To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.
To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
has failed a final exam.
To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.
To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
a premature baby.
To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
who has missed the train, bus or plane.
To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
who has survived an accident.
Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.
To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.
The origin of this letter is unknown,
but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.
Do not keep this letter.
Send it to friends & family to whom you wish good luck
and don't forget the one who sent it to you!
Peace, love and prosperity to all!
Remember...
hold on tight to the ones you love!
Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission...
~ Eleanor Roosevelt ~

Sometimes I come across things to post that are just timeless and on time. I just received that one a few hours earlier.

I got mine early since I ordered mine online from Sony - autographed.
Sometimes they are shipped early - hoping to be delivered on the right day - which is why some get theirs early.
My las song is different as well - not Crowd Chant - it is labeled as Party on the Enterprise.

Osama Bin Laden & the Magic Bottle
While trying to escape through Pakistan, Osama Bin Laden found a Bottle on a beach and picked it up. Suddenly, a female genie rose from the bottle and with a smile said "Master, may I grant you one wish?"
"You ignorant, unworthy daughter-of-a-dog! Don't you know who I am? I don't need any common woman giving me anything" barked Bin Laden.
The shocked genie said "Please, I must grant you a wish or I will be returned to that bottle forever."
Osama thought a moment, then grumbled about the impertinence of the woman and said "Very well, I want to awaken with three American women in my bed in the morning. So just do it and be off with you!"
The annoyed genie said, "So be it!" and disappeared.
The next morning Bin Laden woke up in bed with - Lorena Bobbitt, Tonya Harding, and Hillary Clinton. His penis was gone, his knees were broken, and he had no health insurance.
God is good.

Rock You Like Green Day
Scorpions guitarist Rudolph Schenker says the group currently is working on a new CD that he hopes will be released either in late 2006 or early 2007.
"It's going to pick up where [2004's] Unbreakable left off," he says.
"It will have superb power ballads and hard-rocking songs playable on commercial radio."
The axe-man adds that he's drawn influences from modern rockers Green Day and System of a Down while recording the album, which he promises will "sound fresh and rocking."

Charles Schultz Philosophy
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read this straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with .
Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care .
Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.
"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz)

Bubba and Junior were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up. A
blond lady walked by and asked what they were doing.
"We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole," said Bubba, "but we
don't have a ladder."
The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid
the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a
measurement & announced, "Eighteen feet, six inches," and walked away.
Junior shook his head and laughed. "Ain't that just like a dumb blond?
We ask for the height, and she gives us the length."
Bubba and Junior are
currently doing government work supervising the reconstruction of those
New Orleans Levees.

OLLIE NORTHSKI
All of his life Olle had heard stories of an amazing family tradition.
It seems that his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had all been able to walk on water on their 21st birthday.
On that day, they'd walk across the lake to the boat club for their first legal drink.
So when Olle's 21st birthday came around, he and his pal Corky took a boat out to the middle of the lake. Olle stepped out of the boat and nearly drowned! Corky just managed to pull him to safety.
Furious and confused, Olle went to see his grandmother. "Grandma, it's my 21st birthday, so why can't I walk across the lake like my father, his father, and his father before Him?"
Granny looked into Olle's eyes and said, "Because, you dumb ass, your father, grandfather and great grandfather were born in January, you were born in July."

THIS IS SOME GOOD ADVICE!
If a dog was the teacher you would learn stuff like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be
pure ecstasy.
When! it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout..! run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried! , dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Can You Do This?
This was developed as an age test by an R&D department at Harvard University.
Take your time and see if you can read each line aloud without a mistake.
The average person over 40 years of age can't do it!
1. This is this cat
2. This is is cat
3. This is how cat
4. This is to cat
5. This is keep cat
6. This is an cat
7. This is old cat
8. This is fart cat
9. This is busy cat
10. This is for cat
11. This is forty cat
12. This is seconds cat
Now go back and read aloud the third word in each line from the top down and I betcha you can't resist passing it on.
