sugarbaby, yeah be frank and open with them...trying to carefully choose your words and not say something that might upset them is the wrong thing to do, 'cause it usually gets misinterpreted!
OCPS470, I've never understood the physics of 3D panning, I just know it can be really useful, especially if you've recorded a lot of individual tracks of drum kit and you want to be able to hear the lot. It's the same if you've recorded a big string section or an orchestra and you want clear definition of all parties....3 dimensions is the way to go, but then it takes a lot of skill to use it a lot and make it sound good!

GuitarCrazy505, in the 80's/early 90's the Radius models were what was used as the basis for the JS. They no longer get made, so now the JS shares it's body shape with just the Ergodyne, but the Ergo is luthite, which is synthetic.
Zenfish, no, I didn't recieve any mails like that, but it sounds like spam/a virus to me, so I'd definitely get rid of it!

Master Yoda, I agree with the Takamine and Yamaha votes....they're good guitars, and easy to find here. Carvin are great but you can't buy them in this country, which means you're f*ck*d if anything breaks and needs repairing/replacing!

BeNnels, Why not the G3 events? Have I missed something?

Yeah, there's a limit to how much information can be written on a DVD. The file size of the footage taken at the show would have far outweighed the capacity of the disc, so they have to choose a selection from their set.

OME, er, as far as I know 16bit is pretty standard.

Tune, great to see you back here amigo....I was worried you might have been flooded out! How are things in your area of Europe now....has the flood water subsided?
estrela, thanks for dropping in and saying hi to us all! Shame you can't stay......what's going on? Hope everything's allright anyway!

I've been busy transcribing "A Better World", from Stuart Hamm's Outbound album today.....started teaching it to one of my bass students. Man, there's some badass phrases in this tune....I'm so pleased I got that compressor pedal! It's a beautiful melody though, it almost gives me an excuse to buy an acoustic bass.

Stu's your daddy!! hehe :->

OCPS470, you mean PTFE....you can get the same thing in adhesive tape form to put on threads in plumbing joints to help seal them. It's also commonly referred to as just thread-tape, but PTFE is what's actually in it.

Teflon is cool. Another thing you could try is copper-lube. It's common in the auto trade - all mechanics will have a big pot of it for greasing up bearings and joints on your car, but it's also a remarkable lubricant for the nut and bridge saddles on your geetar.

I was having problems with the strings catching in the graph-tech nut on my SA1260, so it was recommended I get some copper grease/copper-lube in there. It's now about as stable as my Jem was, and it doesn't have a locking nut or bridge.....it does have locking tuners though :-P

Thanks for sharing though....I hadn't thought of PTFE, it's good stuff!

Suzie, that really blows, no instrument deserves to get trashed. That's why I always find it so upsetting when people smash their gear up, it's utterly pointless.
PhryDom, haha, I've never had a problem with it dude! Maybe your tape was out of date?! hehe

OCPS470, thanks for getting the whole PTFE thing going.....it could solve a whole lot of problems! hehe
Anybody else see this weekends historic Grand Prix? Fernando Alonso, world champion at the age of 24! I really wanted to see Raikkonen get it this year, but it's still great that Fernando got it, he deserved it.

Stevee T, hell yeah bro, I could really get into this soul thing. As far as I can work out, Tower Of Power and Toto are the same vintage, and from the same kind of class of musicians. Toto have a lot of Soul in them....I think I've got the beginnigns of a Soul collection at least! hehe, I gotta get me some James Brown.

cuthbert, fair point, but you gotta appreciate that dakook was just suggesting that some words are perhaps a little too extreme.

kd6aaj's post (or the first line of it anyway) is, I think, enough justification the dakook was right to flag it up!

OCPS470, I have no idea man, sorry! There are companies though, who are dedicated to making flight cases for amps and speakers....you could take WDH-dimension measurements of the JSX head and see if they have anything. That's about as helpful as I can get on this one! haha
alexandre, good to see you dude, I love that photo of you at red rocks! What an awesome place!
TRX2, hi Victor, welcome to T2J!
luv4theking, so kayla, what's with the change of identity?! hehe. Good to see you're ok. By the way, the words "You are what gets me up every morning" would have such different connotations coming from a guy to a girl! ehem.

luv4theking, no I was just idly curious! I'm always intrigued to know the motivation when somebody changes the way they want people to refer to them!

The only thing is, your new name could be misinterpreted as you being someone who's really into Elvis! hehe

You get your bike fixed yet?

Chromeboy10th, that sucks man, I hope that a-hole gets banned and I sincerely hope you get your funds back.....if you do maybe you should splash out and contract someone to smash his knees up? MUAHAHA
Suzie, Oh yeah, I detest Yngwies guitar-smashing antics on the G3 DVD, I found it so upsetting! Okay that's really lame, I know, but it's just the way it is! Are you still playing your guitar much?
MichaelStevensG, post your question again.....I can't say I noticed it the first time, but now I know to look for it I'll try and help out!

Chromeboy10th, there is no way of phoning ebay! I'm sorry to break it to you, but it is a 100% internet-only corporation, and the only way you can file a complaint is through it's categorised system, then you finally get to e-mail the complaints department. It sucks......when it works it's great, but when it goes tits-up you're basically on your own!

gotta have joe, I'm sorry, my comment wasn't meant to make you change your nickname! But I have to say, the new one is ace!

Yeah my day is good so far, thanks. I got hired to teach guitar at a local school this morning so I'm pretty pleased about that! And you? how's your day so far?

This - "If I ever get married I want you to play at my wedding. I think that would be the best thing there" - cracked me up.....sounds like you wouldn't be too fussed about who you were marrying if it meant you got to have Joe playing at your wedding?! hehe

And this - "I want more than anything to play like you" - if you set your mind to it you can achieve it. Although a better thing to aspire to is to be able to play as well as you possibly can!

Keniko, thanks amigo! Yeah, I'm well pleased about it, I've wanted to do some guitar teaching in schools for ages, so this is my first step!

Yeah, I totally know what you mean about transcribing.....I started doing a simplified "A Train Of Angels" for some of my students last week. Afterwards I was trying to figure out some of the solo and it is so badass! haha. Also, I started looking at some Eric Johnson stuff a couple of moths back and just hit a brick wall, but it was definitely one of those moments where you're laughing in sheer disbelief/amazement that they really are playing what it sounds like they're playing! hehe. Good stuff!

js1200js1000, dude it sounds like you've given up on getting your money back?
Gemma, I don't know what to say other than "welcome", and thanks for sharing your story! Joe's music has provided an escape for a few of us, I'm sure, and is a great inspiration to many. We had "Always With Me, Always With You" played in memory of my Dad, at his funeral service just over 2 years ago, and none of us regret doing that, even if it is unconventional!

Keniko, no you didn't mislead me.....athough you're almost transcribing, you're just not getting as far as the "Scribing" part. I actually do thoroughly recommend writing down a tune or two yourself.....tabbing out other people's stuff can be quite enlightening, 'cause it's one of the purest ways of breaking the tune down to it's mathematical structure. Writing in the expression and then playing it back takes on a different feel! It's cool.

Maybe I'm suggesting this 'cause I want you to tab out the House Full of Bullets solo so I don't have to?! haha, just kidding.

gotta have joe, haha, fair enough. Also, offering to pay Joe 50 K to play at your wedding......he might actually be tempted! hehe. Now all you gotta do is find someone to marry! haha.

trutina, I thought you used to go round to your neighbour's place and use their computer 'cause you never had a net connection anyway?

I dunno man, this all kinda sucks. T2J has just turned really, really unpleasant. Oh well, I think I'll try and let this one pass me by :-(

SlickPotatohead, "Anyone gettin the xbox 360??". Well, of course man! I preordered the deluxe package and PGR3, I figured I'd get it for myself as a christmas present! hehe. I can't wait, although some of the stuff I'm seeing about PGR3 is starting to concern me.....there's only five cities?!?! There were 4 in PGR1 and 8 plus Nurburgring in PGR2, how can they drop back to five....Crazy!
gotta have joe, good to hear you had such an ace time! Haha, that much bass can be a tricky thing....if you're standing in the right place and the frequencies are right, it can have a laxative effect! teeheehee. You're lucky it was just your hair that was moving ;-)

SlickPotatoHead, yeah I'm really tempted by Perfect Dark Zero to, but with the launch games all costing 45 quid I want to wait to see what other launch titles there will be. I dunno, half of me wants to go easy on the credit card and only get PGR3, but the other half of me wants to get another title to see what 360 is like for FPS stuff! I'll probably have made my mind up by December 2nd!

My other main problem is that I really, really want a JS1000! Awww sh*t...

Powerslave, I'm sure one of the production hard-tail JS's was done with a natural finish, but, as far as I know, none of the JS1000's.

Joe has quite a few though, and I think his double-neck is natural finish. I don't think they're mahogany though, just stained.

LucySorets, haha, yeah I'd love an all-expenses-paid trip to Madrid! And thanks, you don't know how much it means to be grouped with the "Talk To Joe geniuses".....of course, I disagree entirely but if you like some of my stuff then I'm happy!

Also, yeah I saw footage of some of the Alonsomania going on in Spain at the moment.....he's something of a national hero, which is cool, he deserves it I think! That's ace that your bro-in-law shares his name! Good to see you back here :-)

IbanezGuitarsRule, welcome! Yeah Joe should visit Toronto and make a music video on top of the CN Tower! Keep working at The Extremist....Joe's stuff is hard work, but rewarding when you get there!
