The Real Quote of the Day: "What is all this nonsense about angels? Do you realize three out of four Americans now believe in angels?....What about goblins? Doesn't anybody believe in goblins? And zombies. Where the fuck are all the zombies? That's the trouble with zombies, they're unreliable. I say if you're gonna buy that angel bullshit, you may as well go for the goblin-zombie package as well." Carlin

20 Non Shredders that kick ass:

1 Jimmy Page

2 David Gilmour

3 Alex Lifeson

4 Angus Young

5 Billy Gibbons

6 Tom Petty

7 Brian May

8 Eric Clapton

9 Stevie Ray Vaughn

10 Ted Nugent

11 Pete Townsend

12 Ron Wood

13 Joe Walsh

14 Keith Richards

15 Dickey Betts

16 Brad Whitford

17 Duane Allman

18 Chuck Berry

19 Mark Knopfler

20 B.B. King

21 Tony Iommi

22 Neil Young

23 Larry Carlton

24 Robby Krieger

25 Don Felder

I know, it's 25, but I couldn't stop. These aren't in any order, just how they came in my head. Had a hard time not putting Beck and Hendrix on here, as they aren't really known for shredding, but I thought it best to leave them out.

TASTEY Snell isn't that much more money. You should be able to get an open faced snell approved helmet for less than $100. Probably more like $80. Good brand in that price range is HJC and they are very common, best selling helmet brand in the world I believe.

OK, I want to jump on the name that tune bandwagon. This is one of my favorite songs by this artist.

I am made from the dust of the stars and the oceans flow in my veins

Here I hide in the heart of the city like a stranger coming out of the rain

The evening plane rises up from the runway over constellations of light

I look down into a million houses and wonder what your doing tonight

This will be easy for fans of the band.

Brother Al & Soul of Distortion: Yeah, I missed loads of good players. I could easily fill 50 slots from players before 1965.

Delfino Pie: My autograph on that guitar is a forgery. However is was done by my dog while he was wearing a space suit. Does that still count?

Zenfish: You're gonna make me listen to VHIII again, aren't you? I'm not sure I'm wanting to do that lol. Good call on Howlin Wolf's Smokestack Lightning. I can't believe I left that out of my riff list. Back to VHIII, and to answer you question a little bit more directly, I have to say no. Not for me anyway.

More lyrics from my name that tune contribution:

I had a dream of a winter garden a midnight rendezvous

Silver, blue and frozen silence what a fool I was for you

I had a dream of the open water I was swimming away out to sea

So deep I could never touch bottom What a fool I used to be

novjul: You got me on that one, can't find it, but quite like it.

mowlie2000: I like this little bit of work related humor:

For all the people that say they give more than 100%, this is how they do it. To decode the secret to this you must associate a number with each letter of the alphabet. A=1 B=2 C=3 and so on down the line. Applying this code will unravel the mystery of how much work is getting done.

HARDWORK = 8+1+18+4+23+15-18-11 = 98%

KNOWLEDGE = 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%

ATTITUDE = 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%

BULLSHIT = 2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103%

ASSKISSING = 1+19+19+11+9+19+19+9+14+7 = 118%

And there you have it.

Quito: Yeah, it was easy, I figured it would have been spotted within two minutes, was afraid I'd have to keep giving more lyrics lol. And for your efforts, you win, umm, something. OK, I got it, a gently used garden hose with deluxe sprayer attachment.

It's a good thing I make a quick "once-over" for editing on these things. I just misspelled alphabet. There is something so wrong with that. I'm not even gonna mention the fact that I nearly typed mispelled and that's even worse. Time to go outside and hang out with the dog. He won't judge me for my spelling. Only on my ability to rub him behind his ear, which I'm pretty good at.

novjul: Lot's of controversy over a quote lol.

Clarky: Oh they can ask for more, but they just ain't gonna get it lol.

DelfinoPie: OK, I can tell you how to get yourself a drummer, but you're going to need a few things first:

small table
large mallet
cheap drum machine
long section of rope or chain
large cage with open bottom
musicians supply store or possibly a pawn shop

First, hang large cage from ceiling in a store. Then, directly under cage place drum machine and mallet on small table. When a drummer walks by, he'll be unable to resist the temptation of smashing the drum machine to pieces. When he succumbs to this, drop the cage around him. Feed and water regularly.

DelfinoPie: Most drummers are omnivores, so you shouldn't have too much trouble selecting the proper food. If they do not acclimate well to the new environment you have provided them, as a desperate last measure, feed them copious amounts of whiskey and crank and be ready to play for a really long time. I've also heard good things about Purina Drummer Chow and raw eggs for a shiny coat. Do not give them pot unless you want to start a song in 4/4 and have your drummer try to figure out how to do 1/1. Also, it's best to keep drummer away from lead vocalist. Those species don't always mix well. If the drummer is also a vocalist, beware. Probably a self hater.

Jellyman: Haha, Foreigners was funny. Wait a second, to you I'm a foreigner! Now I'm offended! j/k lol

Well, I guess I've talked enough shit for one afternoon. I've been really bored today. Could anyone tell?

Quote of the hour: "Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas ... with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether." Thompson

migupais: Great to see you popping in again. Will have some news soon, I'll be sending you an email. Hopefully you'll have access to get it, if not I hope Alexandre can contact you in some way. Take care.

DelfinoPie: Massive mouse trap eh? Careful, that's what happened to Rick Allen from Def Leppard lol.

Jellyman: Haha, copyright 1775 huh? That'll work lol.

slanshroom: Cool man, thanks loads. We'll see you soon.

death cube K: Oh, press pack and resume action? I thought you could just give me one without any effort on my part lol. Oh and on Hendrix, he did steal Beck/Page's effects builder, didn't he?

Austin: As you may have noticed, I have yet to vote on round six. Choosing between Time Machine and Love Thing is enough to make my head just melt down. I'll be a last minute voter on this one I'm afraid. And how fair is it that Miranda gets four out of four on this round and I don't? Conspiracy, that's how. I know you and the dog have it in for me. Well, I'm grilling some pork chops tomorrow and I'll be bribing the dog to become a double agent for me. Oh, and good news on the microwave! Our current one seems to be developing some sort of "problem". Doesn't do it to Miranda but every time I use it, it just acts funny. So I just about have her talked into putting a cool microwave/oven hood unit in to save space and replace our "faulty" one. And then, of course, we'll have a microwave, just sitting around....

Ovation 1: Man, I hope so. There are rarely any cool shows that come thru here. Take a look at any decent band's T-shirt that has the tour schedule listed on it. You never see Louisville, KY on there. You know why? I guess I don't either lol. I guess they figure we have the Kentucky Derby which is "The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Racing" which of course is a load of shit. That's two minutes a year. What the hell am I supposed to do for the other 525,598 minutes of the year? Whoever came up with that phrase never went to a Formula 1 race.

OCPS470: Man, it's kinda weird that I told you that and have hardly been online since lol. I'm always on until I tell you to yell at me lol. I'll be gone most of the day tomorrow but I might me on late tomorrow night.

962: Oh yeah, I know exactly what you mean about his phrasing. I just find sometime when I'm in a rut that listening to music that doesn't have any guitars in it at all helps for some reason. When I listen to music like that, I find myself jamming along to it with a guitar in my head as opposed to listening to a guitar and visualizing myself playing that part. Also, glad I didn't offend you on Johnson, I guess more than anything I offended myself lol. He is so immensely talented it's not right. Not enough headbangin licks though lol.

Zenfish: Yeah, I hope EVH is sober for all of this as well. From an outside point of view, such as us fans, he appears to be extremely fragile right now. If this new reunion thing isn't successful, I fear it'll be the last music we hear from Eddie.

jblaze1: Man, that sucks, sorry to hear that. Employers these days don't consider things like loyalty or length of service anymore. It's all about the bottom line. Good luck in the job search man. Chef huh? So you could cook up some grub for Joe and the band while you guarded the guitars. Sounds like a plan to me.

PhryDom: Cool man, as long as you are prepared for the liguistic mishaps, you're good to go.

Alexandre: Computer virus? That sucks. Hope you get it lined out. If all else fails, it's nothing a hammer and a credit card won't fix lol.

Mick87: Doomed gear from Canada? It's a conspiracy, I knew it. DCK's trying to infest my home with it lol!

Austin: The dog caved in under pressure and gave a full confession. You're goin' down lol.

962: Yeah man, I know what you mean. I listen to mostly guitar instrumental stuff, so when I do listen to a good "normal" song, it's refreshing. That's why I like Gilbert so much.

Jellyman: You said for me to imagine you had written the Foreigner song before the US was independent, that's what the 1775 bit was about.

DelfinoPie: lol, bio-mechanical percussionists for G3!

Master Yoda: I love the new tune Lost man. It's really cool. By far my favorite of anything I've heard from you. On the criticism, just let it roll off of you like water on a duck's back. Don't ignore it, listen to it. But don't let it drive you.

GODGUNSGUITARS: Glad you made it, hope you get settled soon.

Zenfish: Malcolm Young = Riffmaster. Plain and simple.

Clarky: lol on Mr. Miyagi! I've been thinking of applying some of the Karate Kid lessons to playing. Wax on wax off miniaturized would make a pretty good vibrato and paint the fence has gotta be about slides lol.

Jazzy Boy: Been wondering where you've been lol. Glad you dug the show.

JS Clone: Where the hell have you been? Good to see ya again man. Stick around.

Austin/962: Joe hasn't played with, or even met Jeff Beck. And he wants to. And the White Stripes played with him at the Royal Albert Hall thingy? There's no justice in this world.

Ariamac: That's not Joe, it's Steve Stevens.

Edit Forgot to put in the quote of the day: "The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man." Euripides

Ariamac: Yeah, that would make sense for them to have it wrong as well. And yes, very sweet song indeed.

VFRrocker: Admit it, you just want to move to a place where there are already twisty roads and not have to leave the city to get to them lol.

Jellyman: Only if you renewed the copyright ever fifty years. If you have a time machine, you've got some running to do lol.

Mr Nick: I agree with Clarky. "dude.. we really need to sort out your de-frock virgins famine.. it's unhealthy" lmao.

death cube K: Snow in May sucks like a crack whore.

Alexandre: Can't wait to check out your new site when it's ready, sounds cool.

Zenfish: LMAO on your monument to Zappa.

962: Definitely pick up a few Gilbert CDs, they do not disappoint. I'd give you some recommendations but my collection of his stuff is extremely small at the moment, but Mikey will have some ideas for ya.

One With The Computer: Welcome back Kirk, good to see ya again and thanks for the well wishes. Life is good!

Artanis I: Well, sort of. Miranda's younger sister has a karaoke machine and it has that song on it. But it's in English and it's called 99 Red Balloons. I don't remember what this version of the lyrics said, but it wasn't a protest song like the original lol.

Well, today is a great day! I was supposed to do a whole bunch of stuff and managed to accomplish none of my assigned duties. I was supposed to mow the yard, do some laundry and dishes, clean up my office a little, etc., but I didn't. Instead I recorded a new song, and have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. It's not perfect, but it's close enough for me. It's called Crisis of Faith / Eyes Wide Open and I have it up at my Soundclick, so go check it out if you please. It's the first real playing I've done since my big nap, so it's a bit of a personal victory for me. Finally returning to where I was before, and possibly even surpassing it. Let me know what you all think, I'm dying to hear some feedback on this one. Thanks

One With The Computer: Sorry, last night I was all excited about my tune and neglected to offer my condolences about your friend. I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been to have seen it all happen. May he rest in peace.

death cube K: Glad you enjoyed lol. Half a meter of snow, when converted to American Standard measurement = fuckin shitload!

marimariSRV: They broke your windshield changing wipers? That's crazy! Just the perfect hit I suppose. I once put my hand thru a triple pane window trying to kill a fly lol. Nowhere near as hard as a windshield though.

Artanis I: That's strange on those lyrics, those aren't the one's I remember in her karaoke version, oh well. Just had to post the "Let's Hear It For The Boy" shit didn't you? lol

JazzyBoy: Funny stuff? Hmmm, I'm not fully awake yet, but perhaps later today I can bring out some funny stuff for ya. One thing though, I know JS JS and Joeman9 pissed you off a few weeks ago, but I'm thinking it's time to just let it go man. That dead horse has been beaten to death, picked thru by scavengers and what was left has rotted away to leave only the skeleton. Just my two cents. Speaking of two cents, where the hell did that expression come from? Were people once charged two cents to give their opinions? I can see it, "...OK Chuck, you can tell us what you think, but you're gonna have to pay us money to listen to whatever nonsensical bullshit comes out of your mouth..." That doesn't seem right. Chuch shouldn't have to pay if no one else does. "Well, we've decided that if Chuck is dumb enough to pay, the rest of you morons will too. If you want to complain about it, it's gonna cost you two cents." This could easily be a cheesy movie lol.

JS JS: I have two cents for you too, (this place is getting expensive lol) when you respond to his insults with your own insults, you're both getting nowhere and throwing gas on the fire. Also, pretty nifty review on that link you posted. I guess Vai's tongue prank impresses non musicians lol. And Petrucci trying to keep up? That was pretty funny, when he normally plays just as fast or not faster than both of them. Is this included in the original two cents, or does each subject have a fee? Has that last sentence now upped be to six cents? Shit, I better shut up before I'm broke lol.

Austin: I know you haven't posted yet, but just how do you plan on hearing me yell? And if I yell does it cost more than two cents? And if that's the case, are whispers cheaper, like maybe one cent? Seriously though, I'm looking forward to your review, and I won't charge you a thing for it lol.

VFRrocker: Your secret is safe with me lol. And thanks for the review, perhaps I should have Miranda knock me out and put me in a coma so I can improve some more lol! Glad you dug the pedal steel in the beginning. I though that was a nice contrast to what was coming. Also, I agree, the "grin factor" is worth all of that lol. You know when you're screwing up in a turn or whatnot and getting all nervous, trying to suck the seat of the bike up your ass? The expression on your face is affectionately known here as "The Geek Face." Also, very well said on the war.

dragonchild: People at work giving you stuff to work on? Are they crazy? You should start charging them for that. Oh, I guess that's what that whole paycheck thing is all about. LOL on the old microwave's life. She's gonna go out in style!

Well, since I posted last night, I've only read one person's comments on my new tune, come on and don't be afraid to tell me I suck! I know VFRrocker wasn't the only one to listen to it, unless he downloaded and streamed it multiple times!

Poll: How many of you folks use ear plugs? When playing loud at home or when playing or live or even going to watch a show? I normally don't play really loud, but I did when I recorded my last tune so I used ear plugs. Just wondering.

Wear Ear Plugs: 1
I want to lose the ability to listen to and enjoy the music I love so much: 0

First off, a big thanks to everyone for checking out my new tune! All the feedback is very much appreciated and feels pretty damn good. Didn't mean to guilt you all into it lol, well maybe just a little, haha. Thanks again.

Ovation: Metallica meets Dire Straits? I never thought of that, but I like the sound of it lol. Actually, believe it or not, the song's structure tells a story. It starts out with me whining with the pedal steel slide thingy, crying about my problems and questioning my existence. Then the bomb going off represents me dumping those shitty feelings about my problems and realizing that it's good to be alive! So I kick it and let it all hang out. The theme representing the problems comes back mid song and at the end, to show that, yeah, I've still got problems, but I'm workin' on kicking their asses and I'm still keeping my chin up. Eyes wide open, fingers unleashed lol. Thanks for checking it out.

GODGUNSGUITARS: I don't remember you saying you had a GNX3, I've got one too. Happy to see my simple groovin inspired someone with your playing experience to let some licks loose, thanks.

Ariamac: I've had some experience with the problems you're facing right now and all I can say is that it sucks. From reading your post it sounds like you have a very good attitude about it. Keep that chin up dude, you'll do fine.

DelfinoPie: Thanks for listening man, I'm glad you like Here For Me. The new one is actually the one on top, Crisis of Faith / Eyes Wide Open, but I'm glad you listened all the same. Here For Me was written almost immediately after I got out of the hospital and I think has a lot of emotion in it, at least as much as I could muster without having full control over my right hand lol. Thanks. I might re-record it now that I'm feeling better, but for now I have a few ideas rolling around in my head.

Matt: Thanks for checking it out man, and a big thanks for offering some advice. Usually the chord progressions I come up with lend themselves very easily to finding the melody, but this one just didn't and it drove me nuts lol. Plus I was a little carried away since I've been playing much better than I have in months. It's been a long time since I let it all hang out on a solo, so that's what happened to that one lol. You'll have to check out my next tune, I think it'll be a hundred times better in the melody department. Thanks man. Oh, on my song Mindlessness, I wouldn't pay too much attention to that. I did it as a joke, not something to be taken seriously lol

jblaze1: I'm a biker and I like ITLIS? so good call lol!

michelle: "Crunchy yet satisfying." I love it lol! That's awesome. I think I'm gonna put that in the song description later tonight when I have time. Oh, and bustin' out the Sir Mix A Lot lol.

962: Man, here's the story on the window. I was like, twelve years old and home alone. In the living room we had this huge triple pane picture window. I mean this thing was every bit of six feet across. I was hanging out, looking out the window for some reason, and heard this fly buzzing around. I barely, and I do mean just fuckin barely smacked the window with the palm of my hand and my hand went straight thru it! I got in a shitload of trouble, the damn thing cost a fortune and to this day, MY DAD DOESN'T FUCKING BELIEVE ME!!! lol. So, anyway, let's have it. Bee's nest. Chimney. Fire. I'm hooked, do tell lol. Oh yeah, and Crunchy, yet satisfying

SupaaDave: She does, doesn't she? That's the best description of a song I've heard in ages lol. Thanks for the props man.

TASTEY: You keep junk in your trunk? This is by far the most interesting thing mentioned all day and I don't see a single person that's picked up on it lol!

Flagg: That's terrible news about Schenker. Get well wishes for him.

Sammy Andrews: Thanks for checking it out man, and yeah, ear plugs are a good idea for everyone in a lot of cases. Pick up a nice set sometime, they are well worth the money.

Jazzy Boy: I thought it was Death that rode a horse, not someone riding a dead horse lol. Excellent points you brought up about the war by the way, I hadn't thought about that, but I agree with you. And on being a rapper, I already have a name: M.C. Kim lol.

JS JS: I don't know where the cents thing came from, I have no cents, errr sense lol.

death cube K: Thanks man, I'm feeling pretty good about this one for some reason. It felt good to let it out lol.

Austin: Dammit dude! I should have known you'd have the answer to that one lol. Thanks for the kind words on my tunes as well. I like catchy riffs lol. I'm confident I could be in a fauxpunk band and make millions if I were younger and more whiny lol. I haven't heard of the video game you mentioned, but I'm not much into games. I used to play Diablo, and still do very occasionally, and I have a weakness for the Grand Turismo series. I don't play often, but when I do, it's an all day event lol.

climber: "The Doors with 6 pots of coffee." lol, thanks dude, I appreciate it.

Well, it isn't after midnight yet, but I'm setting up another aquarium tonight since Miranda is visiting her aunt until tomorrow. I'd get in trouble if she knew, but once it's set up, there really isn't much she can say about it lol. Anyway, back to the point, I'm posting the quote of the day a little early. So here goes....(drum roll, gasps of anticipation, spotlight meanders about..)

Two hundred twenty five miles. Three and a half hours of travel time. Four hours hanging out in the parking lot. Two hours in line. All for one minute to talk to Joe. And it was worth every bit of effort. Will post full review sometime tomorrow. Time to rest now. Goodnight.

Oh, quote of the day: "I have not heard this yet, and lots of people have been asking me about it. Is it good?" Satch, with a big smile on his face when I gave him a copy of Satchurated Feedback.

"Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion." Wilhelm

592 posts. To skim or not to skim. That is the question.

While I decide on that, I'll tell you a little about my experience meeting Joe last Friday outside Indy. I received the email newsletter last Monday and immediately contacted the guitar shop to find out what the deal was. They said the seating for the clinic was limited to 70 people that would be drawn for the day before the show. I registered for the drawing on their website and crossed my fingers.

I'm still not supposed to drive. I cheat occasionally and go to the store real quick and such, but a 225 mile solo trip is not allowed by the doctors or especially Miranda. This will take some persuasion.

Thursday rolls around, time for the drawing. I check the website for the list of winners at least every five seconds. Eventually, after giving the website eleven million hits, give or take a few, the winners list is posted. I'm not on it. Shit.

That evening Miranda comes home from work and I tell her I'm going to drive myself. She objects. I tell her I didn't win, but I'm going to the meet and greet anyway. She indicates this is a stupid idea, for me to drive that far, alone, to get my JS autographed and meet Joe for an instant. I explain that she is a fool and knows nothing.

Friday morning, I prepare for my journey. Clean my guitar. Select which CD to have signed (Additional Creations) and burn a copy of the T2J disc to give to Joe. I'm on a mission. Grab camera and road music. Carefully write out directions to event.

After reading some scary posts of extremely long lines at these events, I had decided to leave very early. Indy is an hour behind me so the event starts at 7 my time. I decide to get there about 3, just to be safe.

On the road and no major problems so far. Forgot directions and camera. Par for the course. Listening to the T2J disc on the way up. Thinking about how much it kicks ass. My song comes on, and I'm filled with doubt. For the first time, I realize Joe's gonna hear how much I suck. Shit.

Arrive even earlier than expected despite lack of directions. Memory must be improving. Walk in shop, and talk to dude behind counter. He says I'm four and a half hours early for the clinic and another hour early for the meet and greet. I'm undaunted. I'm here and that's that.

Time crawls by, waiting. After three hours, the second Satch fan shows up. While waiting, I call Miranda. She's not feeling real good about me spending several hours in a guitar shop without supervision. Credit card in hand, I display remarkable restraint.

About an hour before the clinic, fans start showing up. And more. And more. The clinic gets underway and I can hear, but not see. The owner set up a monitor in the main shop so the rest of us could hear. Joe's tone is great. Hear some really cool stories during the long Q&A. Have serious CD skipping problem at one point, but they get it lined out.

While Joe is performing, I see Mick Brigden, Joe's manager. I decide to take the opportunity to introduce myself and thank him for his assistance. To my surprise, he knows who I am and asks about the project. We speak for several minutes. During this time, a line if forming for the meet and great. I jump in about ten spots from the front. The winners get to go thru the meet and greet first, forming a separate line on the opposite side. Joe's about fifteen feet away from me while he signs autographs and poses for pictures.

After that line is finished, ours starts moving. My turn comes. I introduce myself to the man, and he knows who I am! He asks how I've been feeling, how the project is going and admires my JS6. I give him the burnt copy of the disc and he looks extremely happy. He says he's been asked if he's heard it yet and jokingly asks if it's any good. I'm pretty sure I said it was good, but I'm in a bit of a euphoric state, so it could very well have been gibberish coming out of my mouth. He seems to understand my gibberish, and thanks me. Since there are several hundred people in line behind me, I decide to not take up any more time. While I'm walking away, Mick walks over and thanks me once again, asking me to keep in touch about the project and wishing me luck. At this point, everyone else in line and around is trying to figure out who in the hell I am. I hang out for a few minutes, allowing the autograph on my JS to dry and realizing I could have used my phone for some pics. Shit. Time to drive home in the rain.

It was a great time. The shop was very cool and had lots of pretty axes for me to look at while I waited. The staff was friendly and the owner was genuinely as excited as the rest of us that Joe was at his shop. I met some really cool people there and have completely forgotten their names. Joe was even cooler than I expected, as was Mick. The entire day was really sweet. This won't be an easy memory to top. Easily top ten memory of all time. Thanks Joe.

I've decided not to skim or even attempt to catch up. If I missed anything, sorry. Will now be back to my normal posting habits.

Thanks for the congrats everybody, it was a very cool time indeed.

TASTEY: Are you trying to be like me and get banned from the kitchen?

DelfinoPie: I often use the, "...because you are a fool and know nothing..." bit on her and she just rolls her eyes at me lol. That's her standard response to 80% of what I say anyway. I'll be telling her the specs on say an amp, or motorcycle, or even an aquarium piece, and this is what happens: "Honey, the Aprilia Triple utilizes pneumatic valves that allow the engine to run at 19,000 rpm. Do you know what that means?" Her reply (while doing a slight eye roll, not so much you notice, but enough to demonstrate she knows what's coming), "No baby, I don't." "That means it's fuckin cool!" At this point, full motion eye rolling going on while she attempts to ignore me once again.

death cube K: We're progressing little by little. News is rapidly approaching.

mowlie2000: Cool, thanks man. The drums were a loop I made on a drum machine, but that's ok. What program do you use?

Ovation: What's this about Michelle wanting a spanking? Apparently I missed more than I thought lol.

GODGUNSGUITARS: I'll have to take a look at your review and those pics on Austin's site. Glad everything worked out for ya, getting all settled in?

michelle: Thanks for the email, and yeah, it did rock! Miranda says hi back to you. Do you think the 2nd T2J CD should have a big hairy spider on the cover, holding up a woman with a nametag reading "Michelle" on her shirt? Just an idea lol.

climber: Cool review! Glad you enjoyed it as much I did, and glad to see I wasn't the only one to show up to one of these things excessively early lol.

Austin: I don't watch much tv anymore, but there are a few shows I try to catch. As far as network stuff, Will & Grace is about it. King of Queens on occasion. I'll watch anything on Speed that isn't NASCAR related. But my two favorite shows are HBO's Inside the NFL and then any NFL game period. I don't care if it's Arizona and San Diego, I'd rather watch that than anything.

VFRrocker: Yeah man, I had lots of doubts about Joe actually listening to my tune lol. I just know he's gonna say something like, "So that's the reason you headed this project, so you could be on the CD. If you hadn't no one in their right mind would have asked someone to go thru the pain of listening to that piece of garbage." lol.

novjul: Roommates suck, but if you're feeling vengeful, I'm sure some of us can come up with some great ideas for you lol.

cuthbert1776: Hey man, you too! I'm glad you posted again, I had completely forgotten your nickname. No problem on not being able to take the pic, I was lucky enough to get out early for the two hour drive home. We're you able to get your jacket signed? How far back in line did you end up and how late were you there? I'd love to check out your pics, you can email them to me trutina@aol.com if ya like. As far as the CD project, check out our site here. There are some short sound clips of the tunes as well as a brief history of the project and list of all involved. Glad to see you here, stick around, this is a cool bulletin board. If we get enough Hoosiers in here, maybe Joe will do a full show in Indy soon!

OCPS470: Excitement is building on this one, The Red Cross is going to love us! Not to mention positive karma points for days lol.

Zenfish: Great quote, and yeah, no worries from Miranda. She knows she's the absolute center of my existence. With her, I can say I'm the luckiest guy in the history of man.

jblaze!: Most likely, we'll do another one of these T2J discs, assuming this one does well. Ricky was kinda like you and found out too late about the project as well. He's working on a similar idea over at Vai's forum though, so be sure to check that out when they get it finished.

slanshroom: I very much appreciate the info you sent me, and when I'm ready to get started and get serious, I'll be sure to contact him. Thanks a ton for that, hope all is well with you.

DelfinoPie: Yep, that's pretty much it lol. Oftentimes, it's a good idea to try showing some interest though lol.

novjul: That doesn't sound like punishment to me, sounds like my house everyday lol. And yep, when you have something good, ya gotta go back for seconds. It just so happens that our little Satch family here has put together a kick ass disc album, so we'll have to do a second one. This album's too good not to follow up.

Zenfish: Good advice indeed, but I'm forever on the case. I tell her constantly how much she means to me.

cuthbert: Cool, and definitely go see Vai if you have a chance, awesome show. Gotta get that jacket complete! Cool on the pics and thanks for checkin out our site.

Brother Al: I truly love playing guitar. Sometimes I can just loose myself in a groove and find myself in a euphoric state. However, if I had to choose between sex or playing guitar, I'd say sex at least 99.99% of the time. Gotta have priorities lol.

death cube K: I might remember to mention something lol.

SupaaDave: It's a G major 7th then a F# minor 7th with an added 11th according to that radio interview. The second chord modulates to the B major. What this means, I have very little idea, but that's what Joe said on the radio interview. Also mentioned doubling up on the third, giving it a sort of droning major 3rd. Hope this helps. If not, someone can decipher it.

Wow, short post for me. Must be something wrong.

Joe: Wow, just missed ya on my last post, just wanted to say thanks for doing the guitar clinic/meet and greet tour, it was extremely cool to finally meet you. Also, we're all dying to hear your opinion Satchurated Feedback, so be sure to tell us something soon.

Jazzy Boy: lmao on the translation of Joe's post!

mowlie2000: One of these days I'll have the patience to do some better percussion sounds on my songs, that cubase stuff sounds a ton better than my loops.

Ovation: Occasionally I'll try to catch up and see what's going on with the Vai tribute thing and as far as I can tell, not too much. I hope they get it finished, I'm sure there's some killer songs on it. And yeah, anytime I see the word spanking my curiosity jumps right on out of me lol.

michelle: We could have the spider spanking you. I like this idea best lol.

Powerslave214: Good luck with the dopler scans.

SupaaDave: How's that for info? lol

OME: Yes it is, very much so.

juju808: Congrats on finally getting the truck back, does it kick ass or what?

marimariSRV: I'll take a look at part 2 soon, domestic duties prevent me from searching at the moment. I hate yards. I wanna just pave my whole yard lol.

Joeman9: That's very cool that you and your dad like a lot of the same kinds of music. My dad can't stand any of mine and I can't stand any of his lol.

Yamboy: There was ever a doubt in your mind that the T2J CD wouldn't kick ass? lol Really glad you liked it.

Plum Loco: There are five copies out in the world. OCPS470, PhryDom, death cube K, Yamboy, Joe and mine. Errr, make that six lol. And trust me, this project is so far from dead that they have bricked up the entrance to the morgue. It's alive and well, and getting ready to kick the ass of the world.

Alexandre: Thanks man, enjoy your weekend off. Hope all is well with you. I need to share a somewhat humorous story with the rest of T2J about when you joined out project if you don't mind. You haven't heard this either, so you might find it funny too:

One day, in March of last year, while the T2J project was still in it's infancy, I get an email from a guy named Alexandre. He's extremely polite, and very humble about his playing abilities. He asks me to listen to a couple of his songs to see if I think he's "good enough" to be on the album. Not having a clue what to expect, I decide to download the tunes and see what's up. I'm thinking that maybe the tunes could be terrible, or recorded on a little mini-cassestte machine or no telling what, just judging from his email. The first tune I listen to, From The Heart (The Start) begins with a bit of a strange noise. Hard to describe, but once you guys here the song, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm thinking, "Oh no, what is this?" and then the guitar comes in. A small grin slowly spreads across my face. After about 35 seconds or so, the main riff starts, and my grin turns to a smile. It's heavy, fluid and cool. Right around the one minute mark, the melody takes over and my jaw drops. I say to myself, "Good enough?!? Are you kidding? This is awesome!" I immediately send him an email back and tell him I think he is more than good enough for the project! I also send an email to death cube K telling him just how cool these songs are. For the next week, I force everyone who comes to my house to go thru the same thing. I tell them, "I want you to listen to a song from a dude in Portugal that wanted to know if his song was good enough for the album I'm working on. Tell me if you think so." And their reactions were much like mine. I don't know why it caught me so off guard, but it did. It just completely floored me and was a wonderful surprise. I always thought that was funny for some reason.
