Hello all, I just joined the group & i heard Ronnie has been touting my tunes around here. Thanks to all those who made humbling comments. I,m sure none of you care but i dont want to come over in anyway arrogant and so i thought, for the record,i should correct Ronnie on a couple of things he got mixed up about... I did walk out of an Yngwie concert half way through, but it was in no way, shape or form for him making a few mistakes,i mean we all make them.It was because the sound that particular night was atrocious be it the sound engineers fault the gear or whatever,it was a muffled mess.No doubt someone got a mouthful of abuse,i myself felt sorry for the band, they must have noticed. I am playin jazz in 2 bands in Barcalona, tryin t get t grips with the harmony of it all at the moment but along the way i met and jammed with a fantastic guitarist Jordi Bonell, not sure if thats the way t spell his name i,ll post again when i find out.Great guy, great player, but if i may correct y again Ronnie,he played/rec with the bass player for Paco de Lucia who i believe is Carles Benavent. We tend not to talk to much here about who we are & what we do & know, which is just as well cause my spanish at the moment is pants,we just play,if the music is good its good end of story. Anyway i,m glad Ronnie posted that on to you and i,m happy t have joined the group. If any of you are on tour or gigin, safe home. "Hi Joe"

Trutina:Thanks for the compliment, the craic is at the moment Ronnies a very busy man both at work and home.Hes doing his damnest to get the new band site up & running, some of my solo tracks will be there as well as some of the band material etc.I,m still in the process of finishing my debut album, the hardest part is finding time,i,m sure y understand. We still have the old site add www.nicole-masterton-trust.co.uk/RonniesWebPage/indexSBM.htm i think its still possible t download some tracks there, hope thats of some help & thanxs again for the kind words.

Joe.S:Only had the chance t see y once live,it was a crackin performance at the Barrowlands Glasgow Scotland about 12 years ago.Apart from the great music, i have some very funny memories, including some Guy who hand painted his cowboy boots in yellow enamel paint in the style of Stevie Vias universe swirl paint guitar, god luv em,he thought he was being so cool, but i could not stop laughin.Thanx for a great night.

Ovation1,Trutina,JS Clone1,r6rocker,ya yo Gakk,mrNick and anyone else i,ve missed,Many thanks for your comments, you,ve made a poor man very happy.I never had the time t really look at the site till today, to be honest in the grand sceme of things always thought of the music i recorded as my time out from being a musical prostitute. Its refreshing t know you all understand & took the time to listen, apart from my better half,family/friends,who god luv em get frustrated & try to understand.I,ll be in touch again when i find a space of time to record & send t Ronnie my other efforts.

JS clone 1:Every time the chord changed Richard i took a separate take then spliced it all together, spent some 2 weeks analysing each chord on that track playing different arps/scales combined & i,m not in any big hurry to do it all over again either on another,it took me a further month t play it through beginning t end,but by the time it came t record i was sickened of the sound of it,lol,so i settled for the latter.Still not finished it yet by a long shot & i cant wait t get rid of the dodge midi file.Have a version of Sarasates Hungarian Gypsy air also nearly complete & just started Cherokee, the rest of the albums nearly nailed,is goin t be a mix of other original stuff.I stuck to recording straight in with a little compression,i cant afford the studio time or believe it AN AMP!!.Had my last custom hiwatt amp head stolen, pfff, some people huh.Not t worry we work with what we have.Everything is recorded in real time,no messin around, with all F/Xs added later if any.Thanxs again for the compliments n good luck with any recordin & gigs y have Richard

I dont see where i read it but for anyone experiencing hum from gear this is but one solution of many. The UK is 240v-50hz,6va for boss adaptors. If you live anywhere else y,ll have t change the adaptor.I have now the PSA-230p,is working good here in Barca, the tone changed a little but y can tweak a little t make up the difference. Alexandria-just read the news,my prayers n thoughts are with you. On JOE,loved his work on Stu Hams album Radio Free Albemuth, especially Flow my Tears & Sexually Active,I,d be interested t know what Joe thought of that session.Anyone got any interviews about that? To all in T2J good luck, its always an amazing feeling having your dreams realized.Long may it continue R

2 Ton Tessie,JS clone 1:Dont get me wrong i love nothing more than someone who can play 1 or 100 notes as long as its good, hell i listen t SRV every day to remind me,i,m just saying the Radio choice is shit & has been for a long time, the talent that should get exposure falls on deaf ears, its a fuckin shame.I,m teachin a 23 year old man at the moment who is an unbelievable talent & to think his music may never be heard kind of turns me the wrong way, know what i mean?

Ovation 1:I,m a little late on this cause i,m neck deep in work at the moment but i came back from a gig tonight n Tura(my girlfriend just got a 417 SUPA,lol.Hope yer well dude Guitarcake:On trem Picking,ok,heres what i found. The further the pick to the saddle is the less the string moves, combine that with a heavy pleck & you will cut down unwanted movement.Or use heavy 0.11-0,13 strings & use a thinner pleck. For me 8,s & a heavy pleck played at the bridge on electric & Martin 12s for acoustic do the job, however thats just me,hope there is something of use in that waffle. All at T2J,great work people, keep the ball rollin n good luck with your endeavours Austin:Happy belated burpday dude Going t be gone for a month or so,busy recording & playing gigs, till next time, stay well n safe home JOE,whats the story?

Ovation 1:Thanks dude same as on the gigin front, had a great night last night, although a little nervous to start cause Jordi Bonnell was there. He played/rec with JIM HALL yes THAT J.H amoungst others, that was unknown to me till last week.A bit like having Mr gilbert or Joe for you having front row seats while you take a solo,y can imagine! I was shaking enough from the open air n rain, brrrr.Had the good fortune t jam with Jordi once & i hope it happens again,a mighty musician/guitarist,i,m thinking of getting lessons if i can from him if he has time.If only i could find the courage to phone,my Catalan is piss poor.Just about have the site up & ready for the states 2,Ronnies done a good Job,www.sevenbrassmonkeys.com.C minor prelude aint there yet as its not finished, but some other stuff is,hope y like it,check out Egyptian Psycho & send yer thoughts.I,ll be back in 2-3 months.Stay safe hombre.R

Hi all, well its been a long time since my last post,so i,ll start i guess by saying well done to Joe on yet another blinder G3 tour. Unfortunately i didnt get a chance t see the Big Electric 3 this year cause i,m based in Barcelona, however, technology however frustrating that can be at times has blessed me and others with DVD etc,no prizes for guessing what i,m asking from Mrs Santa this year if its poss.

Ronnie,i,m sorry dude y missed the G3 gig,i know how much that meant to y,if its any consolation, there,s a certain old fart here that missed it 2,lol

Ovation:Man lolol that is too funny lol,i see you n Mr G jammin sometime, keep jammin the funny stuff, lol.

Last but not least, t all at T2J,A big round of applause on the completion of the CD.Its always an amazing feeling finishing what y started, keep up the good work!

The Prez, I,ve been in more bands than Keith Richards dipped wick,n thats a lot, does that make me unstable? i dont think so. Band chemistry is damn hard to find, and when y do find that perfect blend, someone in that chemistry usually has to leave for whatever reason, the end result being a slow imploding energy.Happens all the time, dude look around, how many bands do you see still with the original line up? Clapton found his voice n moved on to greener pastures, thats all

Ovation:lolol,I have a question 2,why do some dogs roll about in there own sh**e but most do not,my next door neighbours mut deems it necessary to perpetualy roll around in its own biff every day,the end result being Dangleberry Dog,makes the hall stink but makes for a good laugh when y see people bend down t give it a pat,lol

Do the Stu:Thanx,Yeah its been quite some time since i,ve been to the JS site.I managed to pick up the blaster virus after getting back from hols in Aug,so that kinda put a stop t all things music for a while, just about back on my feet again, happy days indeed

Crispin:I used t have a scalloped neck on an old Ibanez 560,was great for bends, you can really get a good grip on the string, the down side is if you have light guage strings and your playing say around frets 1-8,its quite easy t knock the intonation out by pressing too hard, takes a little getting used to for chords & those wide stretch legato runs.On the whole though i liked it,many nights of string bend death.

Ga6o:Way ahead of your playing years dude,Tasty toast man, keep up the good work

Zachary:How are y finding things with copyrighting your trembolt?Reason being i made a fretless guitar with a stainless steel fingerboard around 7 years ago, went to the patenting office n got told it was goin t cost me 5000 sterling in full for the lot,500 for a worldwide search t see if it had been made/patented b4 n 4500 for the full monty.Needless t say i couldnt cough up the bread, still find it strange that 2 years later the Surfretter appeared, still,i guess it had t happen sooner or later. If y aint got it patented dude do it if y can, good ideas travel so fast especially if the idea gets through to someone with serious bucks.I kind of figured that if it came down to sueing them, even if i had the patent,i,d probably loose out to Vigier anyway, tis the way it seems, power t y on the trembolt and one day VERY soon dude i,m goin t BUY one from y.Good luck bro

Artanis 1:Really mean n nasty ways t make people feel they are less intelligent than b4,hmmmm,look up The Tom Bearden website on Zero Point Energy n study the M.E.G.Feel free t send it too Mr Shrub "G.W.Bush" for starters, lol

JuJu:I think it was you who asked why cartoons dont seem t be as good today as when you were a kid,try checking out the genius of Carl Stalling.Youll instantly recognize his music, was the composer for a lot of the WB stuff. As he put it, the reason the cartoons are not as good today is because there is 2 much dialogue,i mean Wile.E coyote pfff, how r y goin to top the music n that character for laughs. In fact it was the only time i remember laughing with my dad at the same thing/time when i was a nipper instead of each other, that in itself was magical, lol

The Prez:I,ll be looking for Guitar player" if i can find it in Barca" thanks to that last mail y sent.I loved Shawn Lanes work, was one hell of a talent, how he managed to play all the intruments he did to such a high standard is beyond me,i always had respect for that man,he was without doubt a great soul,he broke down walls in music that seemed 2 high,i feel in debt to him sometimes for that, what courage,Nuff Said

Ovation:A very late 1200,I have t tell y Dangleberry Dog is on vacation to a festival somewhere in Catalunya for 2 weeks, not sure where,i dont think its sure either, lol.I,m currently writing a song based on my little matted friend ,when i have it finished, maybe i,ll post it here for the laugh, what y think?

Ovation:Thanks for takin the time t listen bro, some of the tracks C Minor & Gypsy are about t get an overhaul, cant stand playing t midi files but it was great t record the solo parts 2.I,ll hopefully have that replaced with some nylon string the small weeks of Jan.Shame about the band "SBM" idea coming to a halt, tis the way of things, all the lads work pro so pulling it together is more or less impossible at this stage, still, all is good i have a working guitar rig again WAYHAY!2 years playing guitar with no amp,i,d almost forgotten how good it felt.Dangleberry Dog has been on the warpath t find a suitable donor for his genes and has had some success it appears,i,ll spare y the details, lol.Good luck t you n your own at christmas & in the N Y n thanks again for listening.

To all in the site including the man himself Mr J.S,Last post here from me till possibly mid Jan/Feb till then have a monster lickin grumble n an all the way t 11 new year,Enjoy
