wats up joe. my name is michael and im 15.i live in australia. ive been playing guitar for 2 years now. i play in a gigging band. recently we've undergone some changes new vocalist. etc.(hard work. had to start all over again)

anyway. the reason why i am contacting you is becasue i have seemingly endless problems with my sound. i recently got a peavey classic 30 all valve combo.(my first valve amp. great amp) i use a Dubnlop JH-1 jimi hendrix wah and a line 6 POD 2.0. no matter how hard i try i can't get the sound that i want. i know what i want but i dont know how to get it. i can hear the sound that i want in my head . it is extremely frustrating. could you please help me out joe. i desperately need to find my sound. i want something that i'm happpy with as a guitarist. every body in the band says to me ohhh that sounds great but the sound im gettting just doesn't do it for me and no one seems to understand why.

HELP!

it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me asap. some tips maybe and just general help to get a great sound.

Jazzer13: i can't dude. i live in australia and the pric difference between the ttwo is huge. i can get a js100 for $1500 asutralian and a js1000 for $3500. how old are you. im only 16 mate. the mod will be a lot cheaper. i'm upgrading my guitar from a squier strat to a js100. huge difference dude. im a gigging musician already and i need somethind that will rock the shit up every night and the js100 will do it for me. from there i'll move up to the big boys ie. ibanez jem, peavey evh wolfgang or most like a js1000 or even 2000 if i can save enough gig money and work money. wat do ya think

JOE. INSPIRATION IS ALWAYS A DRIVING FORCE IN MY PLAYING, BUT recently i have been struggling to get my head arounf modal theory, and all tHe rest of it. im only 16 and have been playing for 2 years. i hope to be the best guitarist i could possibly be. have u got any tips or information for me on modal theory and all the rest of it. it is really frustrating when you know what you want to do with your instrument but it just won't come out. will it come in time? PLEASE JOE. HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLP! IM GOIN CRAZY. I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO JAM WITH YOU ONE DAY. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. ROCK ON BROTHER. THANKS MIKE P.S. hey satch. mike here. just a quick word. thank you. recently i bought the new g3 dvd an cd as well as joe satriani live in concert. im 16 and live in australia. i'm a giggin muso but lately i've been gettin frustrated with solos and all that. sick of only using pentatonics. thank you. you have shed some light on the situation and i am slowly working for ward to better solos. i am also in the process of trying to form a band and intend on becoming an instrumentalist.i knnow this is what i want to do and im working my heart out to get there. so thanks joes. i've also heard the snippets from the new cd. keep up the good work.it sounds awesome. peace. take it easy mike

hey joe....... mike here from Austtralia. im a guitarist. just heard about the evening with joe satriani over here and i'm psyched man.but im only 16 and will be turning 17 a month after you've been here. i live in BRISBANE. you playin at the Arena the same as Steve Vai and an i Would do ANYTHING to see you. but its over 18. man. for the steve vai shows i had so much trouble tryin to see him in brisbane that i had to fly down to Sydney and all that coming home broke man. I'd do anything to see you in Brisbane man and i just wanted to see if you guys could do anything. PLEASE!!!!!!!! Thanks a Lot Rock on. Mike

hey joe, this is mike again. this is my 4th message dude and stilll no reply. i live in brisbane australia and man i wanna see your show but im only 16 so i cant get in and that sucks. id do anything to see your show man, i mean anything. please please please see what you can do. I cant fly all the way down to sydney to see you because i just don't have the money.I'd love to , i had to do that for steve vai's show and man was i broke afterwards. please see what you can do. PLEASE PLEASE see what you can do. i'll do anything. another question. What speaker cabs do you use with your jsx and what speakers do they have in them?
