Don’t ask me what I want it for, unless you want to pay some more
ScottyZeppelin- Ya gotta love Zep they helped invent heavy metal (along with Sabbath). Fav. Song has got to be The Immigrant Song. Just smokes. Funny thing, my 15 year old son got turned on to Zep from the movie School of Rock and the scene where Jack Black is screaming the intro to Immigrant Song to Joan Cusak.
Civgeek- Yes, Vinnie Vincent is on Lick it Up. He was also on Creatures of the Night along with Bob Kulick and a few other session players. They tried to play it off for awhile that Ace was on the album and the original cover had a picture of Ace, but he did not even show up for the sessions.
ZincMaster- Dont even get me started on Social Security what a scam. We are to stupid to save our own money for retirement so good ol Uncle Sam will do it for you. It is just another form of tax and a very high one at that.
I recently heard the last David Lee Roth album Diamond Dave. He does a cover of Soul Kitchen by The Doors. It has got to be heard to be believed. I am now positive that Morrison is really dead, because if he was not he would have come out of hiding just to kick Daves ass.
Now its time for so long, but before we leave, just one more song. Thanks for doing your part. You sure are smart. Thanks to me and you and our friend Blue. We can do anything that we want to do.

Hey ho, lets go
Do The Stu, DeathcubeK, 962 - Thanks for the info on the Satch/Vai tribute album. Got to admit it would be really cool to hear it. I really like Brad Gillis and George Lynch. I might have to get it someday. (my want list on CD's is way too long, I still haven’t gotten Velvet Revolver and I love Slash)
DeathcubeK Interesting site on John5, thanks for the link
I had no idea he was the guitarist for Rob Halford on the Two project. I saw them at the Roxy when he did a showcase gig to try to get a deal for Two. He only played songs from the unreleased (it may have even not been recorded yet) album. I had no idea who his band was, but I do remember this little blond haired kid who was his guitar player, he looked like he was all of 18 or so. I do not remember if it was a rumor or if we just assumed it, but my friends and I kinda thought that Rob and the guitarist were kinda like, ya know, "together", hint, hint , nudge, nudge. I thought he was pretty good though, I thought the sound was very N.I.N. orientated and was surprised when the album came out Reznor was the executive producer, so I guess I was not far off in my opinion. I promptly forgot all about the player and was very surprised to see that it was in fact John5. I cant really say I know his Manson stuff, I have not heard anything since Mechanical Animals and I was not that impressed with it.
Speaking of Manson, I think you can stick a fork in him, he is done

Anyone remember Jason Becker of Cacophony and D.L.R.? I saw some pics online and he is totally messed up from Lou Gehrigs disease. He is totally imobile and can only communicate using his eyes on a computer. Really sad. Bummed me out. Listen to Perpetual Burn if you get a chance, great stuff.

Personally i thought it was funny. Foolded me for a second (OK, maybe 2).

I dont think there are any real rules on April Fools jokes. I remember one year I called my house while my wife and i were out and left a message on the answeing machine telling my wife that I was the local police station and that she had a warrent out for her arrest and i needed her to call so we could arange a time for her to turn herself in or we would have to come and get her. When we got home I had forgotten about it and when I went in the bedroom she was sitting on the bed crying. When I explained it all to her that it was just a joke she was so relieved and thought it was a pretty good joke (mean, but good). She them had me call her sister and do it to her too.

So is impersonating a police officer for a joke wrong too? lol!

You all keep posting about how people are posting to much? Is that not sorta oxy-moronic?
I have been a member since 02 and I have a little over 100 posts, I'll try to cut it back
I think if Jon got rid of the post counters it would really cut back on some peoples postings. Just my opinion.

Anyone heard about this? I wonder what track Satch is doing?
DEEP PURPLE frontman Ian Gillan has finished recording several songs for his new album, "Gillan's Inn", which will document and celebrate his 40 years in the rock world. Tracks completed thus far include "Hang Me Out To Dry", "Sugar Plum", "Day Late And A Dollar Short", "Unchain Your Brain", "Speed King", "Bluesy Blue Sea", "Trashed", "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight", "Can I Get A Witness", "Men Of War", "Loving On Borrowed Time", "When A Blind Man Cries", "Smoke On The Water", "No Laughing In Heaven", "Demon's Eye" and "No Worries" (new song). It has not yet been decided which tracks or which versions of those tracks will be on the album, but they will all see the light of day in one form or another. Guest musicians on CD will include Joe Satriani, Don Airey, Ian Paice, Mickey Lee Soule, Roger Glover, Jeff Healey, Janick Gers, Jon Lord, Steve Morris and Dean Howard among others. The recordings will be completed by the end of April, while mixing and mastering will be done by the end of May. Concurrently, a documentary is in production for English network television, and it will eventually see release on DVD.

Bubbles

Cool to see I am not the only one who used Joe's music in thier wedding. We played Thinking of You when we did the slide show. I really had to talk my wife into letting me use a Joe track. I wanted AWMAWU but she was really against the massive guitar solo in the middle of our wedding. lol During rehearsal the sound guy did not turn off the CD before the next song started and the massive guitar screech at the opening of the next track came on, and it got a pretty good reaction there let me tell ya.

I also wanted to name my son Joe but the wife put the kabash on the one too. So we went with Zachary (Wylde) Michael (Scehnker) Flagg instead.
Oh, and nice ta meet ya, nice talking to ya. Good night and God bless.

Suzie2000 - I would definitely recomend Shakey it is a well written and researched book. He does not just kiss Young's ass. Neil is such a spaced out character. Whether you like him or not, you got to give him props, he just does what ever the hell he wants and does not give a shit what people think about it or if it sells or not. That in my opinion is what makes him an artist and not just a musician.

I got the book at the library though, I am way to cheap to buy it. lol

Hey ho lets go!
Got the NIN cd this weekend. Some major ass kicking I must say. First cd I have bought in a long time but it was well worth it. I will probally have to break down and get the new Audioslave as well at the end of the month. Morello is just a freakin' beast. He is by far the most inovative player to come along since some guy named Joe.

Thought this was interesting

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"The sold-out Tokyo International Forum got a treat when Marty joined Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and John Petrucci for an all-star jam at the end of the G3 show. They did 'Going Down', and as one would imagine, there was plenty of room for all four guys to let loose. The video of this performance will be available on the upcoming G3 live CD/DVD.

On Zakk

Judge not yet ye be judged thyself.
On him being in a glorified cover band. Zakk wrote Ozzy the biggest hits of his career. How is playing your own songs being in a cover band?
as to people asking what happened to Zakk
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's show at the House of Blues in West Holywood, California Thursday night (May 5) ended early after the group's mainman, Zakk Wylde, reportedly snapped at one of his roadies and hinted from the stage that he had gotten into a fight with his wife prior to the concert. The following report was submitted to BLABBERMOUTH.NET by a fan, Jimmy Pop, who attended the gig:

"BLACK LABEL SOCIETY played the Hollywood House Of Blues last night and from the start of the show the band seemed off and Zakk didn't seem into, but I figured it was no big deal. When he finally talked to the crowd before 'In The River' and was going to talk about his Dimebag guitar, he mentioned to the crowd that just before the show he got into a physical fight with his wife and she was throwing punches at him. Then he talked about Dimebag and went into the song and didn't mention anything else about his fight with his wife. He soloed during the song for what seemed like over 10 minutes. Really, really long and self-indulgent. At just under 60 minutes, Zakk took off his Bullseye guitar from center stage after they played 'Suicide Messiah' and threw it at the monitor board/monitor man and started bitching about the monitors being fucked up and that he'd 'lay the hand of God down on somebody in a New York minute' if it wasn't fixed. Then he told the soundman that he couldn't hear shit all night and he just wanted to go home to his wife and kids and to get it all over with. He then refused to take another guitar from his tech and walked back and forth onstage as the band started jamming. He looked like he was going to start fighting people. He kneeled down on the side of the stage for a while, and then walked off. The band was still playing during this time and he finally came back on. He strapped on his orange Buzzsaw guitar, but then threw his beer cup at somebody behind the monitors. It looked like he threw it at a woman but I could be wrong.

"Anyway, he then turned around, took off his guitar, and threw it deep into the crowd and walked off. The drummer then kicked over his drums and the show was over. The whole tantrum thing lasted about 5 minutes and the band barely played 60 minutes.

"On the way out, I heard some roadies tell the doormen to make sure the guitar doesn't leave the building, and somebody else also said Zakk was headed to rehab tomorrow. This might also have to do with the story you put up a few days ago about Zakk destroying a bar with a baseball bat. He definitely has some anger-management issues and seemed a bit drunk onstage tonight. I've seen BLS many times before and tonight was the worst, and quite a letdown."

As previously reported, Wylde was detained by police on April 28 in Boise, Idaho after he allegedly caused "considerable damage" with a baseball bat to the interior of The Big Easy club (where BLACK LABEL SOCIETY was to perform that night). Police said the case was dropped because no one wanted to press charges. Big Easy co-owner Paul Thornton said the show was called off "due to illness." Wylde's representatives were unavailable for comment.

Needless to say Zakk has a problem.
Goodnight, God bless.

Nola - You go girl!!!
I dont know about everyone else but Nola sounds hot! Although I have always been attracted to unstable women. lol
With the new Star Wars movie coming out soon, I find it to be very amusing to go and ask the guys, who are camped out for weeks to be the first to see it, If shown a picture of say, a donut, a broom and a vagina, could they pick out which one is the vagina?
Okay, I'm done

It was nice to see that a new G3 CD is coming out. I wonder if it will be like the last one where the 2nd disc is only 30 minutes or so. I feel like it was kinda a scam that Sony did not make it a 2 CD 78 minutes each set, like they could have. They know the Satch fans are gonna buy it no matter what.
