Japanese Bonus Track!!!!!! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!! Thats sooooo unfair. Why do the Japanese always get bonus tracks, imports are waaaay to expensive and hard to find. Hard core fans end up buying 2 copies of the same album ( Hmmm thats probally why the scumbag record companys do it.)

Fav song on SBM? Its gotta be track #12 The Journey. Incredible tune. You have to go deeper into the album, so dont just listen to Oriental Melody and Starry Night over and over. It so original, after this many albums Satch dosent simply remake the same songs over and over but manages to come up with original melodies again and again. Oh, and EOC is a great album. Fans seem to want him to just keep remaking SWA for the rest of his career, when he starts making albums for the fans and not for himself he will be finished as an artist

The greatest bass player out there right now is Robert Trujillo. He has played with Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy, and is currently in Metallica. Go out and get the first Infectious Grooves album it is amazing. Trujillo just smokes.

Fretslayer-

I saw that same Megadeth/Infectous Grooves show in 92. It was at the L.A. Sports Arena if I remember right. I saw them the night before in San Diego but it was Suicidal opening for Megadeth. They couldent play L.A. as Suicidal due to the fact that they were banned from playing Los Angeles due to thier ties to the Venice street gang of the same name, so when the tour got to L.A. they played as Infectous.

If your looking for Aditional Creations try searching on Kazaa. I was able to find Turkey Man and Slick on there about six months ago. If you know the names of the tracks you might be able to get them.

Why is that the Japanese versions always get the bonus tracks? Its just not fair to hardcore fans who want to hear the extra song and have to but a friggen import to get it.

I can understand your point. I fully support Joe and his right to make a profit as an artist. Heck I even bought the new Anthology even though I already have all his albums. I am sure fans would gladly BUY the "Aditional Creations" if it were available, but it is not. Therefore being a Satch junkie I had to get it somehow. Its like heroin man... I had to have it!

Do The Stu

Thanks for the info. I knew it had to be some monetary reason. I thought it was to sell more copies as imports, turns out to be the exact opposite. Thank goodness for record company executives or where would the music industry be?

Does anyone think that Joe should sing again? Flying is perhaps my favorite of all his albums. Except for one track on Time Machine and one on Joe Satriani he hasent sang since. I personally enjoy his mellow delivery and his optomistic lyrical view. I wouldnt want vocals on every album for the rest of his career or anything, just another album with a few tracks. Just my opinion.

Joe posted. How cool, first time I have seen that since I have been checking out this board.

If you do happen to read this, just like to say I have been a fan since 87 and you have been a huge insperation. First saw you at The Roxy in L.A .that same year. Played one of your songs at my wedding (Thinking of You) and wanted to name my son Joe but the wife would not go for it, so we went with Zach instead.

Thanks for all the great music thru all the years.

and just one suggestion.... SING AGAIN

I first heard Joe from a friend of mine who had bought Surfing when it first came out and played it over and over all day long. So of course I had to go and get it myself and saw Not of This Earth, so I picked it up too. Been a fan ever since.

Such hostility.

A true Christian is not going to shove thier beliefs at you. They are just going to express themselves and if you want to hear it, fine, if not, you dont have to listen. There is freedom of speech in this country and on this board. You dont have to slap down someone else for not believing the same thing you do.

I would agree with you about Megadeth. I thought that was Marty at his best. He really made them a jam band.

Jason was in David Lee Roth for one album after Vai left but it wasent all that impressive. Then he got some kind of muscle disease that messed him up pretty bad.

I loved the early Wierd Al too. Another one rides the bus. was great. I can remember being a kid and just totally digging that song. Now my 9 year son is a big fan of his and has his last 2 albums. Wierd Al a multi-generational artist! Who woulda guessed

Anyone else like The Darkness album? My 14 year old kid got it and I must say that after all the drudge of the Nu Metal its nice to hear some old school style rock. Sure the guitar is strictly AC/DC power chords, but it just swings, baby, YEAH!

Just read the chat transcripts. It is nice to see that Yngwie has over come his shyness and is coming out of his shell. lol.

Not to bag on Van Halen he is an amazing player and a great songwriter but he has been playing the same solo for the last 25 years.

Zenfish good point. At the time he was revolutionary. Until Van Halen came along everyone was trying to sound like Page and Blackmore. Then along came the new breed of Eddie and Randy Rhoads and the like, to really shake things up.

I mean no offense about my Van Halen comment. Its just that Eruption came out in like 1978 and when I saw him in '83 for his big solo he played it note for note. I saw him again like 10 years later and he did the exact same thing. He has been playing that solo for a long time now. If you were a hard core fan that saw every tour I'll bet it got a little repetitive after awhile.

Satch Boogie is a song. Eruption is a solo. I would not be able to see Satch multiple nights on the same tour if he played the exact same solo every show. I dont want to piss any Van Halen fans off. The last thing I want to do in here is start a riff. I understand that Eddie feels he has to play it for the fans that have never seen him before. I just think as an artist it must be very repetitive to have to do that.

Regarding The Passion of The Christ I think it would be a very good idea to see it. He had this idea that you should turn the other cheek and love your enemy. Some people ought to look into those kind of ideas.
