ok guys......this is not the place to discuss homosexuality
be it for or against it talking about it has no place in here...I doubt Mr. Satriani put this forum up for all of you people to discuss this issue. If either side wants to bitch about it........go into a yahoo chat or something, it is incredibly disrespectful to post shit like that on someones forum that is soo musically talented...hes a genuis...keep all thoughts like that out of here im sure he doesnt like reading about it/ TALK ABOUT HIS NEW ALBUM ITS SOO GOOD

if your saying that Lincoln didnt follow the consitution, well thats fine, sometimes you cant do everything by the book. The country is a much better place since the ideals of the south WERE DECIMATED during the civil war. Do you think it was wrong to squash the southern ideals that slavery is moral? I dont, im glad that the union won. The confederate flag is a symbol for evil. There is nothing to be proud of with this flag. I would wipe my AS8 with it, then light it on fire, then I would piss on it to put it out. People like you give hicks a bad name :<)
The south dont need a yankee?
well the south needs a toothbrush

I have not have the priviledge to see Robert Fripp
but everyone should consider themselves lucky to see g3 with him
and not Yngwie Fatstain, Joe and Steve are not shredders, they are musicians, people complaining that Fripp cant shred, well good, SHRED IS DEAD....

I'm going to major in economics as well..
I am fairly endowed with a knowledge of history. There has been other times in which presidents have bended the rules of the consitution, and morality. In world war 2. FDR knew we were going to have ships attacked for transporting materials to our allies, he contiinued this support in order to justify the war. I think world war 2 was a just war. Maybe im misunderstanding your post. What is your twisted version of how the cival war started? I also dont know what you were saying about Licoln the suspension of habeauus corpus? is that what you were saying was not legal? Just curious.

Yes, slavery was part of that rift, but a very small one, and not a legal one
shouldnt legality be based on morality?
your ignorance is glistening like dew on grass

<As far as I understand it, protectionist tariffs that supported Northern manufacturing at the high cost of Southern agriculture were the big trigger>
what were these tariffs on exactly?
how was the union using the tariffs to hurt the south and support the north?
the north was an industrial powerhouse
the south well, they were good at farming (someone had to do it)
were these tariffs on foreign goods being transported to the south?
I am not aware of any tariffs that really hurt them

there is a big difference between wether homosexuals be married
or wether people should be allowed to be free
and liberia was an alternative to the poor living conditions blacks lived in. You are extremely biased, but I suppose coming from an area where lynching people thats to be expected

people being forced to involuntary work is worse than gay people marrying each other
if they want to marry each other it should be their churches decisions
there is NO COMPARISON between workers without property rigths to their labour and people that love each other get married.

The northern aggression?
the south leaving the union was northern agression?
if the north didnt come in and keep the south
you people would of married your cousins even more than you already do.

so you think that the north should not of imposed their own morality?
is stoping EVIL wrong?
do you think the south should still own slaves?
say what you want....justice is based on morality or else there would be no justice.

you said that the union should not impose the end of slavery, just as they should not interfere with gay people marrying each other.....
I say there is no comparison between those two, and that was my point. If you had any analytical skills perhaps you could of detirmined that. Its ok though, your from the south. I understand :(

it was also first and second generation african americans at the time in which the idea of Liberia was introduced. You associating it today is beyond stupidity.

I do not condone idiocracy or bigotry...you saying that the south should of been allowed to keep slaves is beyond those two, may god have mercy on your soul
wether or not you think the north went into the south to end slavery or not...
was ending slavery a bad thing? The things you say seem to lead one into that direction.
but I will stop argueing with someone so narrow minded.
the symbol of the confederate flag is rebellion not racism...I agree, but what were they rebelling from? The north. Most specifically the ending of slavery.
